Boring.
That’s the best word that could possibly come to your mind.
Tedious, dull, monotonous.
There you go, now you’re using words that you’ve added to your vocabulary for some reason or another. Great. That still doesn’t help you at all, you’re still stuck doing the same thing in a world that’s painfully normal. There’s nothing like the monsters you see in movies or video games, nothing supernatural, nothing that truly interests you.
That is until one day when you come home fairly late to find a prism - one of those things that scatters light into rainbows - sitting in your room. Upon touching it, the world disappears around you and leaves you in a blank void.
As you contemplate whether you’ve died due to a sudden heart attack or not, a gentle motherly voice calls your name. You turn around to see an angel with jet black hair, a glowing golden bangle on each of her wrists instead of a single halo floating above her head, and six wings sprouting from her back, each dark gray with a hint of white at the tips.
She calls herself Aurea and tells you of some tale of how the angels in heaven live perfect lives with everything they could possibly want while those in hell have to keep the human world free of beasts called impurities. She ends her tale with a request for your help and a location to meet at if you accept. With that, you suddenly find yourself back in your room, the prism still clutched in one hand and now a small note with the location scribbled on it. It takes you a few moments to process the surreal encounter, but it slowly crosses your mind that this is the break you were waiting for.
You head out to the location, an abandoned warehouse at the edge of the city.

2. The World
This world is one of four distinct areas: Heaven, Hell, the Human World, and The Other Side. Heaven and Hell are places that are inaccessible. The Other Side is an alternate, desolate version of the Human World, you will find the Impurities here and this area may only be accessed via the prism. The Human World will be where most of the story will take place, this is the normal world you know.
The city that this rp takes place in is a medium sized cities, quite developed but has abandoned factories and warehouses at the edges. Crime rate is quite low, but the occasional crime does pop up. The culture of this city is mostly Japanese, but mostly functions as a neutral city.
In this world, fantastical beings exist, but tend to have stayed away from humans, eventually fading to become simple myths. Heaven contains the angels and some other celestial beings, it can only be described as paradise where you could have everything you could possibly want and there are no negative emotions. This means that they don't bother looking elsewhere and spend their days enjoying themselves. Only high-ranking angels observe the world, many have "fallen" after seeing the difficult conditions below. "Fallen" angels are not allowed back in heaven. Hell houses the other beings that are closer to humans and have adapted to living with them. Most Fallen Angels reside here.
3. Characters
As stated before, you are required to have two characters: one human and one partner of another race. It has to be this way because they will form a mutual bond that will help them both. The partners all have different ways of giving their human power, but they can be categorized into two broad categories: {Possession} and {Empowerment}. {Possession} is mainly reserved for the spirits, this involves occupying the human's body as a host and using them to better channel power. With {Possession} the human will become stronger and may also use weapons created by the spirit, the human can do a lot of the work while the spirit feeds them power. {Empowerment} is used by the more physical types and will be seen more often, this involves them granting the human their physical features and strength for a time.
The humans will be living with their partners and of course will have to feed them, this isn't a very important thing but does make for entertaining scenes. Energy, blood, heat, whatever, they feed on these from humans. Oh yeah, no debauchery, those types will be draining energy or blood, your choice.
4. Races
NPC Races
Angels - The winged beings of heaven with halos hovering above their heads. They mostly tend to mind their own business and don't involve themselves with anything below. They all have white feathers and some have more than two wings. Their halos shine a brilliant golden and are actually used to summon weapons.
The Fallen - The angels that have left heaven. They've left heaven for some reason or another and now live among humans or in hell. Being so far from heaven, they no longer absorb celestial radiation and in turn their wings become a darker color and their halos no longer hover above their heads.
Shinigami - The reapers of souls. They're said to take people to the afterlife with their scythes, but in actuality they simply feed on human souls. They tend to wear dark hoods to appear menacing, as a rumor says that souls taste better when stricken with fear.
Spirit Races
Onibi - Deadly demon fire. These ghostly flames are very partial to human life energy and are very vicious when they want some. They are heavily in tune with nature and gain power while in rain. They appear as blue, white, red, or yellow floating flames and like being in small groups.
Kosenjoubi - Flame of a fallen warrior. While they are onibi as well, they are hardly as vicious. They are the souls of humans who have died in battle and became a spirit. Occasionally, they take on forms of animals or what they looked like before they died.
Chuuko - The humble foxfire. These are spirits that are created by kitsune, as such they are known for the mischief they cause with their creator. Chuuko are known as the "low-flying" kitsunebi and tend to be more humble or even introverted. Their are usually red, orange, blue, or green in color.
Tenko - The brash foxfire. Like Chuuko, they are kitsunebi as well, but their difference lies in their personalities. Tenko are known as the "high-flying" kitsunebi and are more outgoing and brazen. Unlike Chuuko, their appetites tend to be quite large, sometimes even killing weak humans as they drain their energy.
Shiranui - The mysterious flame. Shiranui are spirits that generally live near the ocean and live off by absorbing heat. Their race tends to have a very distinct split in personalities, one side is very shy and hide from humans, the other side are tricksters and confuse humans. Both are able to create illusions of themselves to confuse people
Demonic Races
Vampires - Sanguine undead. High profile beings that look like humans except that their teeth are specialized for puncturing skin and drinking blood. They all have night vision and large leathery wings that allow them to glide. Their race generally tends to be many times stronger and faster than humans.
Succubi - Femme Fatale. Succubi are a race that feeds directly on humans' energy. Many live among humans and most tend to keep their actual forms hidden. They have a leathery tail and large wings that they can use to fly. Their race isn't very strong but tend to be very strong with magic
Incubi - Homme Fatale. Succubi and incubi are actually the same race, but different terms are used to describe different forms. Their race is able to transform to meet the tastes of their target, but they can change their forms however they like. They tend to stay as succubi since that form tends to get a better response.
Siren - Lethal song. The siren are an exclusively female oceanic race that lured sailors to land with their charming songs and drained their souls. Siren have always lived among humans and wore masks to conceal their identities. They are very strong with magic and illusion but have quite frail bodies.
Lorelei - River songstress. Lorelei are also Siren but lived next to rivers, commonly in particularly rocky rivers. While they are pretty much the exact same as Siren, they are slightly stronger physically and slightly weaker magically. Siren and Lorelei have a feud going on between them due to the question of which is the "original" race.

1. Rules
- As usual, forum rules.
- You are required to have two characters for this rp, one human and the other a race from hell. The amount of contribution each gives is up to you.
- I will not allow any NPCs or prohibited races due to the fact that they will not be playing a very vital role in the humans' story. Yes, this means that there's something happening in the background.
- I will include a list of races you may choose from. If you feel that you want another race added, tell me and we will discuss it. Keep in mind that all the races rely on something of humans such as energy or blood.
- Succubi, Incubi, Siren, and any other lustful types are prohibited from engaging in debauchery and will require human energy or blood instead.
