I have a problem on my hands...

    So hey guys...
So, a dear friend of mine had ALS and she's coming near the end of her lifespan. She's part of the five percent(?) that live only until 5-8 years from when diagnosed. She's 18 years old. When she was around 12 or 13 she was diagnosed with it. As a friend, what do I do?!

Just Make every moment count! I know that she might die soon, but make her actually have some happy memories when she passes away. Even though she can't do anything, just talk to her. Make her happy in what seems to be a depressing moment. Don't let her grief be her ending moments. Just... be with her.

Exactly was Scarlette said, there might not be much you can do about it, but making every moment count until the time comes is the greatest thing you can do for her.
