    My Poetry Thread

So one of my few hobbies is to create poetry for the melancholy soul.

    So in class we were ready the love story about Layla and Majnun, quite a beautiful story to say the least. So, I loved the usage of metaphors for day and night and I decided to write a small poem about it. I hope you guys enjoy! ^_^;

The Creation of the day was first showed by the sun
It's righteous Glory shined to all it's youth
An orchestra of birds singing in unison
The awakening of all life that walked and roamed
and the sun merely kept rising higher and higher

    When the humans woke
The tended to their farms and to their elders
Caring their children and their families
Following their deepest ambitions and following their heart

The sun that was once so high slowly fell
The youth becomes to age and become the old
The orchestra of birds sing the mellow blues
The symphony of flowers wilt as the sun fades away
And the once filled life succumbs to sleep

Then the stars of wishes light up the sky
Showing the path for those who are lost
A creature's true colors are shown
Their truths hidden in plain sight
and their strongest emotions are revealed.

Thank you so much! Poetry seems to be one of my forte and helps me soothe myself when I'm really sad over IRL things.

        So, here's a lighthearted poem

The Morning mist surrounds the quiet town
        soothing everyone's heart
the sad kids lift their head and run around
        like bees swarming their honey

The old lady who once was sick,
slowly stands up from her own bed.
        Harvesting the most perfect garlic.
        Preparing sweet garlic bread.

        The mist soothes the heart,
        mysterious and calming.
No one knows where it comes from
        but only one thing does,
        and that is your heart.
