Wriggle's Text-based Fire Red Nuzlocke run

Yeah I'm doing one of these.

I'm going to put Table of Contents on this page, but only after a number of chapters are in.

Also, even though this is a text-based run, I'm purely going for comedy here cuz, come on, everyone can appreciate a good laugh, right?

    Table of Contents:

    Spoiler:

I hope I did this right.

Chapter 2: The Old Man and the Parcel - link

Chapter 3: Redundant Education - link

    Chapter 1: A New Journey

    Spoiler:

    Yup. Let's do this.

Who would've thought picking a gender was the biggest decision of this LP?

As much as I like Green and as much as I would advocate that I am not a boy, I will have to choose sir Red.

    WHOA NO DUH

And it was either this or Cirno. Out of my respect for the guy, I chose the less retard name. (Besides, I like Mystia far more than I like Chiruno.)

    So.
    First order of business is----

Well to set the text on Fast of course.

And the second order of business is----

    Get this potion.

So I leave the house and try to begin my journey when-

    Curse you Oak.

So I get abductedescorted to Professor Oak's whorehouselaboratory so that he can give me some BDSMstarter Pokemon, which are...

    Bulbasaur, the Seed Pokemon
    - Grass/Poison type
    - 45/49/49/65/65/45
    - Ability: Overgrow

    Squirtle, the Tiny Turtle Pokemon
    - Water type
    - 44/48/65/50/64/43
    - Ability: Torrent

    Charmander, the Lizard Pokemon
    - Fire type
    - 39/52/43/60/50/65
    - Ability: Blaze

I always ran Squirtle in R/B/FR/LG, and my last X/Y was based around Chesnaught, so I'm going to choose Charmander (like everybody does, anyway. Believe it or not, I never ran Charmander. Ever.)

And instead of running nicknames like Mokou or Utsuho, I decided to spice up my Pokemon.

"Hello, Ifrit. You're my starter from now on."

    "Are you... my trainer?"

"That's right I'm your new master. Here's to a great partnership."

I offered Ifrit my hand. Ifrit, however, didn't seem too impressed.

    "(scoffs)Whatever"

Damn, he feisty. I check his nature.

    Rash: SpA+, SpD-.
    Aw. Hell. Yeah.
    So badass.

Now to take care of that b**ch over there.

    "You go, Ifrit."

I'll toss ya aside, Lizard boy.

Not before I kick your ass like the turtles from Super Mario.

    My thoughts exactly.

    "Good work."

Ifrit looked back at me and smiled lightly. "...thanks."

This is going to be a lovely journey.

Now that I chopped game on Mystia, it is time to head out...

    To Route 1.

This is great so far. I have shared it with my constituents on Facebook & Twitter. Do you mind if I find a way to archive this?

Ooh, shared on FB and Twitter? I must pick up the pace!

Also, I can do the archiving myself, but thanks for the offer.

Chapter 2 - The Old Man and the Parcels

        Spoiler:

Route 1 was pretty boring. Nothing out of the ordinary.

Except for that one Lv: 2 Pidgey we fought.

If you call that out of the ordinary, wait until later in the journey.

Anyway, now that I'm at Viridian City, it's probably a high time to go look see if we can buy any Pokeballs...

        I ain't touching that. I... Ifrit?

        Fine, I'll carry it.

Thanks, who knows what's in that... Thing...

So you leave your starter Pokemon to carry potentially compromised item while you keep your hands scot-free of any dirt?

        ...
        He's got a point.

        But still ain't touchin'.

The travel back was also not eventful at all. Not even an encounter because I used the ledges.

Jeez, Oak, keep your fetishes to yoursel- Oh those were Pokeballs.

I should've stolen it ran awa- (*shot)

        Get me out of here.

Let's just... get the free items...

        Hear this loser's whining...

Oh my, hello, milady. Seems like there were good genes in the Oak family after all.

        AND she's nice too.
        Definitely coming back for you,darling.

Onward! Let us go find some Comrades!

You can safely rest in my Pokeballs.

        Krona
        Pidgey, the Tiny Bird Pokemon
        - Normal/Flying type
        - 40/45/40/35/35/56
        - Ability: Keen Eye (increases accuracy)

        Hello, Krona.

Hey, thanks for having me on the party. Now let's just chill and bit and rest-

We wouldn't get anywhere if we relax after the first catch, lass.

Let's check the nature up here...

No wonder you sound high, Krona.

Not bad of a nature at all. Decreased speed is a bummer, but Pidgeots are supposed to be bulky, and added defense is always a boon.

        Welcome to the party, Krona!

Now onto grinding! (Can it even be called that at this phase...)

I'm glad you can archive it yourself. I'll give you a tip: Mankey can be found on Route 22, which can be accessed as soon as you reach Viridian City. There's also an optional battle against Mystia there. Mankey would be good against Brock.

I played FR multiple times, lad.

            Chapter 3 - Redundant Education

            Spoiler:

            Aw hell yeah.
Coach: Let's burn some shit up!

So after a few good minutes of grinderino, here's my party.

Let's go to Route 22 to recruit new blood.

Well whaddaya know it IS Mankey.
Looks like I wouldn't be running the luck of getting a Rattata huh?

I proceed to stuff her in the Pokeball.

            Jacqueline
            Mankey, the Pig Monkey Pokemon
            - Fighting type
            - 40/80/35/35/45/70
            - Ability: Vital Spirit or Anger Point

            Welcome, Jacqueline.

Okay, you caught me, so let's get going.

Oh god she's like the direct opposite of Krona.

Hey, chillax, girl. Let's take it nice and slow-

I can't sit on my butt all day, it's not my style! Let's go let's go let's go-

            Aw jeez.

            ...
            *points at Krona and Jacqueline.

            (Sigh)

Whatever. Just get out my sight.

Let's see what Route 2 has to offer.

            Phio
            Rattata, the Mouse pokemon.
            - Normal type
            - 30/56/35/25/35/72
            - Ability: Run Away or Guts

Welcome to the party, mouse of the sewers. (AtWaG reference)

Hey, trainer! "Mice" to meet ya! Get it?

Oh dear we got a jokester.

            Let's just check his nature.

            Speed up, AND Guts?
You, my friend, are gonna go far.

Time for more training! (Jumps to combat)

              Chapter 4 - Double-edged Sword

              Spoiler:

My team, strong and proud. Ready to take on the whiny bitch Mystia.

Sure whatever. Get out of town.

How long do you think it'll take until he gives in?

Oh, not until, say 8 battles?

              Onward to the forest!

And we catch a rather hispanic-looking larva Pokemon!

              Juarez
Weedle, the Hairy Bug Pokemon (...)
              - Bug/Poison type
              - 40/35/30/20/20/50
              - Ability: Shield Dust

              Welcome to the party.

              ...hi.

Looks like our new recruit is a shy one.

              Is that so?

              It... It is so.
Eh, neutral nature is always good.

Now, we only need one more Pokemon for a full team!

              Or so I thought...

              PHIO NOOOOOOOOO-

H... Hehe... Master... Looks like I got ... A critical injury...

Naw man, hang in there, Phio, you can live!

He is already dead, Wriggle. Let us move on.

              ...sure.

              I'll miss you, old buddy.

But Phio's death was quickly counteracted by Juarez and his wonderful plays. (He couldn't hit poison for shit though)

Never thought Beedrill had such a high special defense. Definitely taking you out for the Water gym since I couldn't catch a Pikachu.

Anyway, with Juarez solidly in the party and Phio's death heavy in the air, me and my party arrive...

              To Pewter City.

                  Chapter 5 - Ain't no thang

                  Spoiler:

Getting moves all around. Especially that Metal Claw, that will help immensely in the next gym fight.

                  Speaking of which!

I grinded all my mons up to Lv 13. Juarez and Krona wouldn't be seeing much in this fight, but I'm hoping for Jacqueline to pull through here.

                  Let's go, come on!

I see that you're getting antsy, Jacqueline. Well then...

                  Git rekt.

And he was the only guy in the gym besides Brock.

                  BATTLE CRY

So he brings out a Geodude first, level 12. Ifrit?

                  I got it.

                  N... Never mind.

                  (Sigh)...Jacqueline?

Wow, Ifrit, you really handled that well. Not even.

...just take down the damn Geodude. He already set up two Defense Curls.

                  With pleasure.

                  Good jo-

                  Oh shit.
                  ...Jacqueline?

It's okay, I can try. I don't know if I can take that Rock Tomb, but...

Jacqueline jumped into motion. A hunk of rock weighs a lot. And when there are multiple hunks of rock, that Onix is probably pretty damn heavy.

The Onix didn't sit around for nothing though. The Onix threw huge boulders to try and trap Jacqueline, but she was faster. The boulders passed by merely centimeter from Jacqueline as she prepared a blade made with her hand and struck Onix's soft rock joints.

                  AIN'T. NO. THANG.

Yeah yeah, now give me the badge.

                  Hell yeah. First badge get.

I'd use it if the accuracy wasn't 80.

But ain't no thang. Let's get going to the next route.

                    Chapter 6 - Nice Shorts

                    Spoiler:

                    Thank ye, Mister.

You're probably the only scientist that isn't trying to probe me every time they see me.

                    Unless the running shoes is...

                    Well it's worth the weight.

Well who wouldn't stare at a girl who's strutting around like it's Compton?

                    My thoughts exactly.

                    ...skank.

I proceed to beat up all the trainers in the route.

                    Including the one and only...

                    Nice Shorts.

Anyway, what can I catch here?

                    Ew.

If you have a good nature I will take you on.

                    Desrow
                    Spearow, the Tiny Bird Pokemon
                    - Normal/Flying type
                    - 40/60/30/31/31/70
                    - Ability: Keen Eye

                    Ew.

Get out of my sight. You don't even get a dialogue.

                    In the box you go.

How bout here? (Probably gonna be a Zubat. Which is good, cuz I want a Crobat.)

                    Yer mine, lad!

                    Infidel
                    Zubat, the Bat(man) Pokemon.
                    - Poison/Flying type
                    - 40/45/35/30/40/55
                    - Ability: Inner Focus

                    Hello, Infidel!

                    Howdy.

Why would you name your Pokemon Infidel?

                    I have no clue.

                    ...Let's just check his nature.

                    AWW HELL YEAH!
Anything that lowers Sp. Atk in favor of other moves is a great thing for Zubat line, and increased Sp. Def is definitely a boon since most of the type Zubat is weak against is Special, minus, say, Rock types.

Blessings of the based god Youngster Ben paid off!

You, my friend, are gonna go far.

                    (Thinks of Phio)

                    ;_;

I thought Fearow was better than Pidgeot for some reason. Maybe because I thought Drill Peck was Ground, when that was actually Drill Run! Either way, it doesn't have the best nature, so I suppose you were right to box it.
