Dayton, Ohio specifically. It's free to the public, but you need a ticket and to be there at a certain time if you want to visit the hanger for experimental planes.
That one day you know you have to replace your Catalina with another plane... DDDDDDDDDDDDDD: But then play with your friends in a tier IV match with only tier 1 planes and bring in both Catalina's just to for the hell of it. Freaking idk, 1 shot kill every time D:
I only saw them after they were some distance away, but I could make out the unmistakable silhouettes of the first 3 types.
That means there's an airshow in the area... must find them....
EDIT: Confirmed: It was a B-17, P-38, P-51, P-47, and a P-40 The airshow is this weekend, and they got a lot of the old WWII birds. Gonna be better than the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum or the other one down in Virginia cause they're not just gonna be on the ground... To see these birds up close and flying irl... worth every dollar.
It's like "SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY." *starts throwing money at the planes "TAKE THE GODDAMN MONEY!" *gets into b17 "I'VE GOT THE POWER!!!!!!!!!!! Just gotta be careful of tier 4 Russians..."
Aaaaand another B-17G flew over my house while we were working on the yard. How low was it flying? I could see the finer details of the barrels of the turret guns. Tomorrow I go to see this beauty and all the other WWII aircraft in the airshow.
I can just imagine out of nowhere you come out and hijack a b17 Flying Fortress... "1000lb bombs do your magic!!!!" *blows up stuff "YESSSSSSSSSSS, WUR TANDERRRRRR"
