Depends on the jet and your opponent. If it has a good climb rate then fight in the Vertical. If your opponent cannot handle high g turns without losing speed then fight in the horizontal.

I.e. Banshee vs British use the former.
Banshee vs. MiG 15s use the latter at high altitude to bait them into lower energy states since that is the only way you can out perform them.

I've noticed that the Mig-9 seems to be slower than some jets of its tier like the F-80 and Banshee. I feel like it's only redeeming quality is the firepower. Fighting in the horizontal with this thing is not too bad although it is tough to pull off due to everyone boom and zooming.

MiG 9 has a mean straight accel. Gain speed then altitude and proceed to carefully pick off opponents. Best bet is to lure opponents into low energy states while keeping your speed since you should be able to out turn at speed. Do not be afraid to run since it can actually pull away from things like the Banshee.

Those gunners are horrible.. They're so easy to dodge and set Dari's wing on fire.

It bothers me because I can't seem to land this without damaging the tail. Since its not a complete carrier landing for me unless I land without needing to respawn for repair. Well, at least I landed without cutting the wing.
