Asides from the hair dye, I don't really see much of a difference. Sure, TRXD got a dog and a few phrases from you but there isn't much that has been done.

As of right now, in the early stages of your islands, I can't give an answer. There's too little of a difference right now and the things received have been done through levelling up or acting when the Miis call for attention. Too soon for any form of proper judgement.
