[OOC Board] - The Infinite Project: A Future Based RP

I guess I just he the location be the internet. As for that idea of that body. It's been something I've considered myself. What I was thinking however was more that she could take control over the robot in the same way she takes control over normal machines that is connected to the internet. The thing is that she still needs the brain for a lot of things. She is supposed to be a pretty stationary character tough. If she did have a little robot for recon and such it would in fact probably be a little bit more than one. Maybe 3 or 5.

What you are proposing is more of a backup which i really intend her to make, although they may not be portable.

...so a sort of "AI" in a sense, except minus the "Artificial" part...

Dave has short messy light brown hair. He wears a white T-Shirt under a black sleeveless vest which he keeps unbuttoned. He also wears black pants complete with white belt. His shoes are brown dress shoes with black laces. His left eye is blue, and his right eye is green. When angered his eyes become dark, and even a somewhat evil looking red. He also wears a dark brown fedora. Oddly he never takes off his hat, even when he is asleep. He can always be seen carrying around a black laptop which he calls Andrew after one of his old colleagues. He even managed to program a highly advanced A.I. into his laptop.

Bio: Not much is known about Dave's past. Dave's real name isn't even Dave. Not even before the incident in which Project Infinity had first escaped.

You see Dave was one of the original scientists that worked on Hajime. In fact Dave was a donor DNA wise to help create Hajime. However Dave began to start having doubts about the Infinity project. Though he began having his doubts during the project, however he did continue to work on it. After Project: Infinity had awoken much earlier than expected Dave was intrigued. However he found out that Infinity was scheduled for termination Dave was shocked. He was not done studying Infinity, and as the Project was making its escape Dave decided to do something… different.

He decided to help Project: Infinity (eventually to be known as "Hajime") escape by disabling all systems in the base with a very powerful hacking attempt, he then faked his own death. Dave managed to hack his records to show that he was deceased with a timer set to activate a day after the escape of Project: Infinity. Meaning one day later all digital records of Dave's previous persona showed that the old him was dead and no long with the living. To help with faking his own death he left a body in his place to pose as the deceased Dave.

After "Hajime's" escape Dave had changed his name to well... Dave. He also donned a new appearance. He changed his hairstyle, his dress code, yet he still retained his hat which he NEVER takes off not even when he is sleeping. The only instance he will take off his hat is when he is taking a shower to wash his hair, or on the rare occasion when he goes to a lake to swim. Around other people, or whenever he has guests in his apartment he won't even take his hat off when he's taking a shower.

He had also developed a laptop, with a highly advanced human-like A.I. that he had called "Andrew."

Personality: Dave is a rather joyous guy always trying to make a cheesy joke here and there, but this is all just an act. Dave is actually a very intelligent man, smart enough to fool the government. When he is serious he is dead serious. Do not mess with him, do anything to piss him off, and he will find a way to give you complete hell. Also most importantly do not try to take his hat off, or try to steal his laptop Andrew. Dave is also willing to go to any lengths to reach his goals. Even if it means losing his life, though he still prefers to try and find a way via his laptop Andrew. Currently his motives are unknown, but he seems to be on Hajime's side.

If Dave ever so happens to lose his hat he will absolutely FREAK out. He will do anything to get it back. In fact he will drop EVERYTHING he is currently doing to get his hat back. While his hat is missing he will end up temporarily wearing anything he can find to cover up his precious little scalp. I REPEAT DAVE IS NOT BALD.

Abilities: Currently Unknown.

Skills: Dave may act like a complete fool but in reality he is highly intelligent. Heck he might be the smartest "being" on the planet at the current moment, but he prefers to make himself seem like any ordinary guy. Dave can hack most computers in a matter of hours, if not minutes depending on the security protection the computer he is trying to hack has. It is still possible to create a firewall that not even he can bypass. In that case you can see his true anger and rage. Dave is also a crackpot inventor, being able to create human-like A.I.'s like the one in his laptop in just weeks. He also had created a few other inventions that well… blew up. He is much better at creating A.I.'s, not actual machines.

Other: Dave is a mysterious character whose actually identity would be introduced sometime in the RP. Dave also has obvious weaknesses. Sometimes he works so much that sometimes he "overloads" his brain. In that case he has a complete mental breakdown, and even begins to have a pretty serious nosebleed due to the stress. When this happens his whole body begins to shake nervously, and he even freezes up. Sometimes even brought to the point of crying/laughter.


His Laptop Andrew:

Appearance: A standard black laptop with an old fashioned logo for a computer company that no longer exists.

In Cyberspace he looks like a standard teenager of the age of 17 with short black hair with a bang covering one eye which appears to be wearing black jean shorts, and a red T-Shirt with black sleeves. However Andrew does not appear to wear shoes in Cyberspace. His Cyberspace avatar has blueish green eyes and tan skin.

Personality: Andrew is the sane kind of guy who frequents Cyberspace a lot whenever he is bored who does not care much about anything. Since he has pretty much free will for an A.I. he does whatever he wants to like browsing the internet, ordering food that Dave didn't even want to mess with his master, and more importantly just "relax." Sometimes Andrew would even stop helping Dave by just going to Cyberspace and not doing anything. Not even responding to Dave.

Abilities: Andrew as an A.I. developed by Dave has an INCREDIBLY precise CPU, capable of doing complex equations, reading binary, and various other things that normal super-computers can do. However Andrew has a tendency to refuse. After entering Cyberspace for the first time Andrew tends to wish to go to Cyberspace where he finds peace. The major downside that Dave suffers from is that as a human-like A.I. Andrew is becoming more and more rebellious. Refusing to help Dave sometimes, even when Dave is in dire need of his help. Andrew does care for his masters well being though. He just does not like to help him.

I assume this is the person that you were talking about. I just got an idea, what about having this person be one of the people that worked on Sidna?

It could be a possibility. Dave is smart enough to be one of the few who did work on Sidna for a short while, before he moved onto other projects.

Dave is that kind of character that is the "loosely connected to most characters in the RP in some way" type of character,

Just what I was thinking. With that kind of skill the two of them must at least know each other.

When you say he is loosely connected to most characters, do you mean to their past or trough something that is going to happen in the RP.

When I said "loosely connected to most characters" like in most of their pasts. Like Dave was the actual cause behind a few events in certain characters lives.

Please note that Dave can be that kind of character. Doesn't mean he is, but with how I made most of his past a secret and such he can be connected to most characters.


Like a connection with Sidna is inevitable due to his skills in working with A.I. and inventing. He could have been the one who helped hook up Sidna to the internet and develop a few programs and stuff to aid Sidna. While other scientists handled building the actual machine that Sidna's brain is hooked up too and such.

A game hacker that's gone big.
People wouldn't recognize him as Mike, rather his alias Cicero. He uses the analogy that he's the "Blackbeard of the Internet." He attempts to hack big targets, but he takes advantage of any situation that presents itself. Most of the time he just monitors cameras and sees if he can even exploit real situations for profit.

Personality: Up beat and likes to plan things through. He'll deliberately plant false trails to mislead anyone that tries to track him.

Abilities: With the use of a Mind-Link device, he patches his conscious into the interface.

Skills: Hacking and planning.

Okay here is another character for me to control. She will be practically co-oping with another character that a certain someone is making and/or finished making while I make this app.

Name: Dust

Age: Is designed to look 17, but is actually about 30-40 years old.

Race: Super-human.

Height: Despite being modeled to look 17 she is quite small and dainty in a way. Only standing at about 5ft 2-3.

Weight: Her own body weight is actually quite... light. Personally on her own she weighs at about 78 lbs.

Gender: Female

Physical Appearance:
Yes that includes the large hovering machine, which is her life support machine which hovers about by a prototype anti-gravity propulsion unit installed. Those 4 drones are self protection that she herself cannot control. She also has a prehensile tail that she uses like a sort of stinger to hold back enemies. Oh and she has no arms from the elbows down.

Bio: Dust was a super-human created in a lab deep within Area 51 of Nevada. She was an experiment in an attempt to generate smoke, and expel it as a smokescreen to create diversions, and blind enemies for allies to sneak past. She was originally meant to have a sort of smoke generator attached directly to her back with hoses going inside her body, and out of these special devices on her arms that would expel the smoke. However one of the hoses that would pump the smoke through her body had leaked, and somehow managed to fill her lungs. The devices on both arms also had detonated due to a supposed malfunction thus causing her to lose her arms from the elbows down. She had almost suffocated due to this problem, and they had to remove the machine and think of another course of action.

Shortly after they had put her through a extreme operation. They completely replaced the hose and smoke generator with a new device. A new smoke-generator/life support machine that would hook up to her back via very durable Nano-Flex Fiber Tubes. Special tubes that are durable, thick, and flexible. This device also has a built in prototype anti-gravity propulsion generator at the bottom to allow it to freely follow her. They also almost completely replaced what was left of her arms at the shoulders with small devices that she would use to constantly expel smoke. However there were problems with this new system. She could not control when she released smoke as the device required it to pump small amounts of smoke into her lungs, then having another tube pump an amount of oxygen which would push the smoke out of separate tubes leading through her body and out of devices where her arms once were. Thus keeping her lungs mostly clean constantly allowing her to always breath. Due to the fact that the system required it to constantly pump in smoke, then oxygen out of her body she was always expelling small constant streams of smoke that after testing shown that it revealed her location if she was hiding. One good thing about her though was that they had installed a sort of device that forms a long prehensile tail that ends in a large syringe like stinger at the tip that is hooked up to it's own small system attacked right to the bottom of her back. Which said device is also attached to the Life support machine. This syringe-like stinger tail is used to inject small amounts of a toxic tar-like substance into the body of a target which would either poison a person, or completely cut off blood flow to the heart depending on the amounts used. However due to the fact that the smoke generator/life support machine always had a tendency to give out her location (except on night machines where she would be hard to notice, even then she was uncooperative with her tasks for the most part) she was unable to get close to a target to do so. As such she was still considered an initial failure until they found a better system.

Due to all of this she was considered an initial failure until further notice, and was locked away in a containment cell where she is fed 3 simple meals a day. Currently she is still locked up in Area 51... hoping to eventually escape...

Personality: Dust is incredibly quiet, and does not speak much at all. Even though she wishes to escape, she is unable to as she is to nervous and afraid to leave her cell at all. This is due to how cruelly she was forced to undergo the original procedure that almost killed her. She grew fearful of the ones who are currently imprisoning her. Even on the rare occasions that the cells of all the "prisoners" were being cleaned, and in turn the prisoners were allowed to walk freely in a special well guarded courtyard she always remained a recluse. Always staying away from anyone.

In her eyes she is weak, and even useless. She feels like she will not be useful at anything at all anymore, but is too afraid to end her own life because she still deep down really wishes to escape. She now just spends her time in her room crying... mourning the fact that she might never see what it's like to be free...

Abilities: As a Super-human, and due to her build she is quite light on her feet. Even with that device hooked to her back she is quite light on her feet, and mobile due to the fact that the machine she is attached to has an anti-gravitational propulsion system to keep it literally weightless (in a sense) and always hovering a few feet above the air, and the cables attaching her to the machine are flexible (to an extent) but not elastic. This means the machine is always at a set distance from her body at all times. That distance is roughly 4 ft. This machine generates smoke through the series of tubes through her lungs and body that allows her to pump out smoke from her arms. Though she cannot fully control this function she is always emitting a small constant mist of smoke that appears to mysteriously flow from the empty sleeves of her coat. This smoke is similar to peppers-spray, except in a smoke like form. It's incredibly irritating to the eyes, and even the lungs. However she is somehow immune to it's effects (probably because of how she was created to be immune.) This allows her to be useful in creating smokescreens for distraction and all. The life-support machine also has a small series of drones (as seen in her picture) that are loaded into the machine. She cannot control these drones, but they are rather remotely controlled by the machine itself. As the machine was programmed that if it or Dust were to be harmed (more than just a simple cut, like an actual injury) the 5 drones would be released, and would fly around automatically via a GPS system. The drones would then released a large trail of smoke for creating an incredibly large smokescreen to allow her escape (if escape is possible.) After the drones empty their smoke cans they fly back into the machine and wait to be refilled for when they are needed again. Please note she has NO control over the drones.


Now her "tail" is unique as it's attached to her tailbone, and her nervous system. The tail is made out of the Nano-Flex Fiber Tubes, as well as other wires and nano-fiber muscle fibers to allow her full control over it (because it's attached to her spinal cord.) It's also indirectly attached to the smoke-generator which allows her to inject a tar-like substance into a targets bloodstream which is filled with a Neurotoxin to paralyze an opponent or stop the flow of blood to the heart (if used in large quantities.) This tail is roughly 4-5 feet in length including the syringe stinger at the tip.

Skills: She is frail, she cannot suffer much damage, nor is she good at stealth during the day. Yet due to the ability to make smokescreens, and even paralyzing opponents with her tail she can easily be used for creating distractions, and taking out opponents for others to get by. Even then she still suffers in the fact that she can't take that much damage, nor is she good at hiding in the day due to the fact she cannot help controlling the smoke the machine emits through her body. However when she is inactive it only emits faint clouds of smoke, while the more active she is, the more smoke the machine emits. Her eyes also glow a bit of an ominous red as well which can be seen if she is hiding in dark areas (not only that, but her life-support machine also has glowing red parts.) She also suffers from the fact that she shy, and is usually too afraid to do anything that might get her in danger or trouble. Even then she is light, and quick on her feet and when combined with a person that can take the hits, and dish out the pain for her she can make a valuable asset on a team.

Bio: Unlike most super humans, Jason was naturally born. The military had done many experiments with genetically born super humans, but they had never attempted to create a super human from natural-born humans. Genetically-born humans could be quickly created and would cost less, but what about imparting these gifts to normal humans? What about not only enhancing DNA, but physiology as well? How much could the human body take? When would a human transcend the bounds of what made one human? Just how far could they push the envelope?

After sifting through various DNA databanks for a child that was already genetically inclined to their requirements, the military tested and kidnapped Jason at the age of six, and trained him to be the ultimate soldier. At the age of 14, Jason underwent a series of incredibly dangerous procedures that altered his DNA and physiology, turning him into something more than human. He was now stronger, faster, smarter, and deadlier than any human normal on the planet. The procedures were incredibly expensive, but they had created a super human that was capable of more than previous generations. The military had finally done it, they had created the deadliest soldier they could muster. As the years went by, Jason began to think of home, how his family must have missed him. He didn't know how they were, but he desired to go back, at least to visit them. Jason brought up his desires during his weekly psychological check-up, but after doing so, the staff members of the facility met his desires wit harsh words, heavily discouraging such thoughts. Jason didn't know why they would discourage it, but it didn't deter him from trying to escape one day, at least to get some fresh air. Jason managed to sneak out of the facility, but when he returned, he was put under heavy supervision and had a complete overhaul done ion his holding cell. Jason didn't like this. They were caging him in and were removing what little freedom he had left. Two years later, Jason could take no more. He had been caged for far too long, and now it was time to leave...

Personality: Has a broad range of emotions and moods ranging from happy-go-lucky and upbeat, to depressed, angry, or disturbing. Some would consider him unstable or insane because of his lack of a defined personality, but he doesn't really care much for what they say. He is him, and nothing more.

Abilities:

Speed - Can run at at 64 mph, slightly more. Any more than that, and Jason risks injury.

Strength - Can lift 33 metric tonnes, possibly more. The armor doubles his lifting capacity to over 66 metric tonnes, but it can be adjusted to increase his strwength ten-fold. This is not advised, as too much strain on the suit will cause it to tear itself apart.

Reflexes - Reaction time is 15 times faster than the average human. With the armor, it goes up to 75 times faster than the average human. Due to his training, Jason can induce a focused state on himself that increases his reaction time. If an AI is inside of his suit, his reaction time will increase further.

Intelligence - Is very intelligent and creative. He is able to quickly adapt to his surroundings and situation, a very valuable trait for a super-soldier.

Durability - Has virtually indestructible bones made from a ceramic carbide. His soft body tissues are relatively normal, but due to his training, Jason can withstand injuries that would cripple most people.

Misc. - Can see in almost absolute darkness. Can react many times faster with the aid of nanomachines.

Skills: Very skilled marksman, swordsman, and martial artist. He is also a talented strategist and is an assault specialist. Has a good understanding of various machines and is talented in modifying them.

The ARES Powered Assault armor was the most advanced armor when it was created. This armor is immune to small weapons fire and is highly explosion resistant. .50 caliber rounds can damage it, but it won't pass straight through the armor in a single shot. The armor is highly resistant to heat, cold, and electricity, due to its properties. The armor can double lifting capacity, but can increase the wearer's strength by a factor of ten. This is not advised, as the armor will rip itself apart if it's put under too much stress. It also increases the wearer's reaction time by a factor of five and has many functions, such as:

- Nano bots for automatic repair of both the suit and the user.

- Next-gen fusion reactor.

- Atmospheric insertion systems.

- Active AI transfer protocols.

- Capable of upgrading itself and healing the user passively when in standby via nanotechnology.

- Nanomachines programmable by the user's thoughts.

- Gravity/anti-gravity Module (weight modification).

- Advanced thruster system.

- Dynamically reactive armor plating and undersuit (repeated damage of a specific type is gradually negated until armor plating resets.).

- Integrated visor module that is capable of pinpointing items, enemies, and allies. Can work through walls.

- Nerual integration. Allows the user to remain in complete control when a hacking attempt is performed. The mind becomes a weapon in this situation, allowing the wearer to mentally destroy viruses and defend against hacking attempts. If all else fails, there is a fail-safe that allows the wearer to remain in complete control over the suit.


The armor has many other basic functions, but they are too numerous to mention.
