Leaf was right. Mystia, unlike regular, brown-furred Pidgeys, had a slightly more golden-hue.

Hoenn Region - Rustboro City - Outside Pokemon Center
The blond-haired young woman stared down at the glinting token in her hand, an expression of relief on her face. She had completely lost track of time over the past few weeks. Her white shirt needed a wash (actually, she needed something that fit her), her tan pants could be a little longer to cover her lower legs, and she could really use a spa treatment. She could use a lot of things, but she found herself enjoying what she already had and looking forward to earning the things that she did not. This time, she had earned everything that came at her. It wasn't handed over to her because she was an orphaned superhuman or she looked like a girl out of a teenager's wet dream. She took what the world hurled at her and made her own way.
"The Stone Badge... It shows that I've finally some kind of handle on it all..." The woman smiled and placed the badge in a small case before stuffing it into her fannypack. "So this is what it feels like to be completely independant. Buon lavoro, Sherry."
Sherry Birkin felt something punch her leg and flinched. She let loose a small eep of pain and turned around to look down on her partner, a small bluish-grey humanoid-looking creature, with red eyes. It folded its little arms and sneered up at her.
"Oh! Sorry, little Mac," she apologized. She would have rolled her eyes at the ridiculousness of talking to this creature, but this little creature was one of her only gateways into a new life in this world. "Don't think that I'm not grateful. I mean, without your help, I couldn't have gotten this far."
"Machop," the creature said with a nod, knowing this all-too-well.
Pokemon. What wondrous (intimidating and difficult) creatures. They all looked different and were capable of tremendous feats, but they weren't used like B.O.W.s. No, they were valued as fighters, actors, pets, friends, and companions. Sherry never had a pet, so she took to the little creature pretty well. That is, until it figured out that the woman had no idea how to carry out a pokemon battle.
"Alright, I made a few bad calls back there in the gym," Sherry admitted as she clasped her hands together. "How about I make it up to you? We can go up to the northern part of the city and look for berries, and you can also tussle with any wild creature you like. Sound good?"
The little Machop huffed, but he nodded, earning himself a bright smile from the blond woman. They then began to walk away from the nearby Pokemon Center and into the central area of the city of Rustboro...

John thought about Renamon's question for a moment. He knew what his end goal was, but he still needed to figure out how he was going to get there. He still didn't know who Palkia was, or even hoe to get to the Pokemon. John figured that he would have to gain more Pokemon, train them so that he could survive in this strange world, then locate Palkia. Once John found the Pokemon, he could go home. The only way John saw himself quickly training his Pokemon was the gym battles, but in a best-case scenario, it would take him weeks, maybe even months to reach his goal. John didn't want to be in this world longer than he had to, but he didn't have much of a choice.
"Well, I just want to go home. If I train my Pokemon and gather others, I should be able to handle anything in this world. I also need to gather intel on this Palkia. That Pokemon might be able to take me home. I have little choice but to participate in these pokemon battles.", John calmly said to Renamon.

Lyrica blinked in surprise and confusion. "Oh?? So this isn't the normal coloration of a pidgey?? So...what does it mean? Just different genetics or...something else?" She looked again at Mystia ran a hand through her head feathers, looking closer now at their color. "Different? What does a different color variation...Did I accidently catch something special?" Lyrica thought back on how she caught Mystia and smiled wryly. "Wouldn't that be a funny story..."

Renamon stood hearing the spartan´s words and nodded "Ok then, guess we will face the league, and we shall see new challenges" she said with a faint smile
The fox still needed to manage a way to go back to the Digital World and surely the legendaries could be of great help

Rustboro City is the third largest city of Hoenn Region, with stone-designed houses and brick-organized streets. Towering above all building is Devon Corporation headquarters, designed as an antique castle from the 15th century. Normally, this building would remain silent, researching better ways for Trainers to battle... but today, there was some turmoil going on.
"We'll be taking this!" A motorcycle punk drove away as some businessmen and scientists chased after in vanity.
"No! That's our precious Pokemon potential research data! If that gets into a wrong hand...!"
"Anyway, we should eat something for dinner... how about we go to that new restaurant in the Department Store?" Crystal suggested.

"We should go get some supplies, possibly Pokemon food while we're at it. Once that's done, we need to find a place to eat and sleep.", John calmly said to Renamon as he continued to walk towards the Pokemart.

"He looks ridiculous." A gangster woman wearing nothing but a black swimsuit top and ripped shorts spat on the ground. "Let's dispatch him."
"Will do!" The basketball man nodded, quickly assembling to battle along with the woman.
"They're looking for a double battle!" Professor Juniper observed. "Phantom... was it? Help me out with this battle!"

There were times where Sherry longed for the cold feel of a firearm in her hands. Her fingers itched with the desire to wrap around a grip and nuzzle the trigger, always to deter first, then to fire. Perhaps a bit of Leon's affinity for firearms had rubbed off on the young girl during Raccoon City, but so did his self-control. A firearm was not a child's plaything, and neither were the creatures that inhabited this world. If properly persuaded, they could quickly fill the firearm void.
Sherry grimaced as she fought the thought away, but seeing a punk on a motorcycle made her act on instinct. She drew her hand up to her hip and reached for the weapon that wasn't there. Instead, she brushed against the Machop's pokeball and was reminded of her place in this world. Right, she had misplaced/given away her firearms in order to live out her childhood, but now she wished she had some leverage. Seeing the businessmen and scientists ahead of her in distress over stolen goods, Sherry quickened her pace and caught up with them.
If only she had a motorcycle of her own, she would be able to tail the punk. If only she had Jake at the controls... No. Now was not the time for that. She stopped amongst the distraught men and looked on as the punk on the motorcycle drove off in a cloud of dust. Little Mac went ahead of Sherry a little and shook his tiny fist at the punk, unable to keep up just like his trainer.
"Hey! Are you all alright?" Sherry asked the distraught men, her concern prominent. "Any of you hurt?"
Questions could wait. She had to make sure they were unharmed. Physically, she meant.
