"Thank you so much!" The head researcher bowed again, the data within his tight grasp. "I... If you will, please follow me."
The interior of Devon Corporation Headquarter was adorned with their product posters and lavish decorations. Or at least it was for the front lobby. Second floor, the research department, was devoid of any fancy velvet carpet and baroque middle-age furnitures, instead replaced by plain metallic tiles and scientific equipments you wouldn't dare to touch without consent.
The head researcher stormed into his lab and retrieved another USB drive and a letter bound in white envelope.
"It is too late to venture out, for the wild Pokemon are more rampant in the night." The head researcher alerted. "But we need these to be delivered to a certain someone in Dewford Town. As soon as dawn breaks, can you head over to Dewford to deliver these?"

Sherry followed the researcher about as Mac toddled behind her. The little Machop showed an interest in all the hustle and bustle going about while Sherry admired it. Seeing everyone shuffle about with a spring in their step reminded her of the good days in DSO. Everyone was chipper back then, Hunnigan could spare time to talk, and Simmons wasn't being a complete arse. Sherry made sure not to bump into anyone or touch any of the fancy equipment, even though her curiosity urged her to.
She came to the conclusion that Devon Corp. was founded on the idea that technology could improve the lives of people by bringing them closer together with pokemon. The PokeMobile was one of their creations, and it was designed with the pokemon in mind as well as the trainer. She noticed that the head researcher had stepped into his lab and waited for him to return. When he did, Sherry noticed another USB drive in his hand as well as a sealed envelope.
So, she was on delivery detail now. It was off to Dewford Town, then. The young woman furrowed her brow and pocketed the items, making sure to place them in a less-used pouch of her fannypack. Wouldn't want them to get misplaced.
"Dewford Town?" she repeated. "If I'm not mistaken, that's to the south, right? It should be south of Petalburg, but across the sea on an island..." Sherry shook her head and looked up at the researcher with a confident smile. "Don't worry, I'll find a way there. I'll swim if I have to, but I'd rather not. Just who am I giving these items to?"

"Those have to go to a person who goes by codename Chiu." The head researcher responded. "Nobody knows why this person goes by the said name. We don't even know Chiu's genders."
"Rumor has it that Chiu is a bounty-ridden space alien from Mars." A young scientist hypothesized.
"Back to work, Smith." The head researcher barked at the young scientist, like how a drill sergeant would discipline his privates. He might look chubby on the outside, but he is definitely the charismatic leader of the team. "Sorry about that. I need to give you two more items to you. Please wait here."
The head researcher strode into a storage room within the science lab.
"Those have to go to a person who goes by codename Chiu." The head researcher responded. "Nobody knows why this person goes by the said name. We don't even know Chiu's genders."
"Rumor has it that Chiu is a bounty-ridden space alien from Mars." A young scientist hypothesized.

Sherry felt like she was being unnecessarily pampered, but then she figured this was part of her reward. She didn't feel that she deserved one after her less-than-stellar performance, but she wasn't going to decline. The more help she got, the better. As for Mac, Sherry figured that once the errand was taken care of they could head to the gym that was rumored to be on the island. It was said that it specialized in fighting types, so Mac would be right at home. However, his performance in the first gym battle combined with the fight against the Makuhita led Sherry to believe that there needed to be more training.
Fighting with one pokemon would get Sherry only so far. She needed more companions, more allies. She could get by with Mac, but that could be said the same with her gun and stunstick in Edonia. She got by, but only barely. Imagine getting by with that armement when fighting the Ustanak. Nope. Couldn't do that. Point taken, Sherry thought to herself.
"Mac, you up for a little bit of training before we turn in?" Sherry asked Mac.
The little Machop rubbed his head before nodding.
"Alright. Let's make a date then," she said before turning to wait.
(Once I'm turned loose, I think I'll head back to Route 116 to do a post or two of training before turning in at the Pokemon center)

The Chief returned with two devices and a small backpack that could be added to any larger bag through the hook in the handle. First device was larger, with detachable red cover that revealed two screens. Both screens were black, for they were turned off. The second device resembled a yellow flip phone.
"The larger device is called a PokeDex." The head researcher handed it to Sherry's left hand. "It is a hi-tech encyclopedia that records every Pokemon seen and caught. It is a gift from us, do take it."
"The smaller device is PokeNav. It is a multi-tool gadget with an ability to call people, look up maps of the region you are in, and more."
"Inside the small bag is a starter kit. It consist of 3 Potions, 5 PokeBalls, and an Antidote. I hope those items will serve you well in your journey."

"Its allright spartan, I got my share of stuff here too" Renamon said showing that her bag have an asortment of berrries, 10 pokeballs, 4 great balls and 2 ultra balls, on the other pocket were 3 hyper potions, 2 full heals, an escape rope, and a pair of both paralyze and burn heals.
"Its getting late, we can either go to the pokemon center to relax or keep looking around, your choice" the fox continued putting her backpack on its place

John tried to quickly listed off all the things they needed to, but found none. They had done all they needed to for today. Now it was time to eat, then sleep.
"Let's go to the Pokemon Center.", John calmly said as he began to walk towards the Pokemoon Center.

"You talk big, but let's see if you can back it up!" The punk with basketball jersey taunted as he threw his Pokemon out: a floating purple Pokemon exerting out dangerous-looking gases. "Intoxicate them, Koffing!"
"Don't get carried away." The woman with swimsuit top coolly said as she casually tossed her Pokemon out: a small cat Pokemon with black and yellow markings on its purple fur. "Go, Purrloin."
"Go, Minccino!" Professor Juniper sent her Pokemon out: a regal-looking chinchila with thick muffler-like neck.

Phantom quickly evaluated the situation as he looked at Bagon. He hadn't seen the floating purple Pokemon before, but he had seen the purple cat Pokemon.
That's when Phantom turned to Stryke. "Now if I just focus... if I work in sync with my Pokemon I shall overcome these thugs..." Said Phantom as he took a deep breath and thought a minute. He then turned to Juniper. "Tell me... what are the attacks of Stryke?" He whispered to the Professor. If it wasn't obvious by now he was literally a new trainer.
