"You... You didn't have to dismiss her... You didn't have to be so strict..." Trista said under her quiet breath. But, with that out of the way, Trista tried her hardest to focus on what was currently important. This was a night for both Cygnus and Trista. A night that she wouldn't want to have taken away. Even if Trista couldn't help but think about what just happened, Trista knew that Cygnus had his reasons.
"So... Erm... Should we... take a seat?" Trista asked as she pointed towards one of the benches beside the fountain.

"...yes. Let's do that." Cygnus nodded and said, almost like a sigh, with relieved uneasiness. What could it be that he was so anxious about one other person nearby?

The entrance to the campus was pretty much empty of students. They were all probably in their dormitories or hanging out in the other parts of the school. This gave Trista and Cygnus much-needed privacy. Cygnus looked around, and then turned to Trista. "I have something to ask you."

Cecilia giggled as she quickly turned around. "Very well sir just follow me. I will show you to your table, then I will gladly give you your menu so you can order okay? Okay." She said as she began walking at a pretty face past. She was heading to the staircase in the back of the lobby on the first floor.

Marco looked at Kiara with an impassive stare.

"What do I look like? Well I must say I look like a dog now don't I? Anyways I can tell by your scent that you have been in contact with Ms. Hannah recently. By your description, and your scent I suppose you are her new assistant?" Marco replied in a calm, smooth, and mature voice... Followed by another sip of his coffee.

"Entrance? What do you mean an entrance!? What are you talking about!?" Andrew replied in a panicked tone. Confused as to what the hell is about to happen...

Before Trista could begin to move towards one of the benches and sit down, Cygnus let out the simple words "I have something to ask you." Despite the simplicity of those words, they struck Trista in a few places. It not only confused Trista but also made her curious and worried. If Cygnus needed to ask something of Trista, he could just ask her. She would never refuse to listen to him or back down from him unless it was not right at all. So if Cygnus was already aware of that, why would he say that sentence in the first place. Such words only meant one thing to Trista, he was going to ask Trista a big question. It was the only logical explanation. But what could it be? Was it a question pertaining to Kris or Trista's roommates? A question about Cygnus himself? A question about Trista? A question about the two of them? This made Trista split between two major thoughts. She both desperately wanted to know the question but at the same time, she didn't. What if it was a... bad question? Not a poorly structured or inappropriate one. But one that hurt people. One that hurt people's feelings and their hearts. What if it was a question like 'Trista, how would you feel if I left you? If we never saw each other again?' Trista couldn't bear the thought of being asked a question like that by Cygnus. Not again. Never again. But in her mind, she would never know if it was truly a bad or a good question if she listened to the question in the first place. And that's what it truly boiled down to. Which was worse, hearing a bad question or not knowing about the question at all?

Trista stopped in her tracks and turned to face Cygnus. Her nerves getting to her, her tension rising, and her glow dimming. Trista was nervous. She didn't want to hear the question for fear of what it might be. But she had to hear it anyway. It was Cygnus. And Trista would never ignore him.
"Wh... What is it, Cygnus? What do you... Wh-What do you have to ask me?" Trista asked in a nervous tone. Trista couldn't even try to hide the nervousness in her. Not that she was good at hiding her inner emotions or thoughts at all.

"I have... a story to tell you." Cygnus muttered. It began snowing, soft and silent. "Can you... promise me that you'll listen and remember it... remember... me?"

Trista looked up to Cygnus' determined face. Trista didn't have much idea as to what Cygnus was getting herself into. But for Cygnus, Trista would do anything for him. Almost anything. And if that meant listening to what he had to say, then Trista would listen to it with the utmost attention and fixation.
"Cygnus... Of course, I would listen to it. I will never forget it. And... I would never forget you. Not ever." Trista said in her most innocent and most promise filled voice. Her ears prepared for whatever story Cygnus had to tell. Whatever came her way, Trista would be ready and willing to listen.

Storage - Infirmary - Trinity Soul University

Without fault, Julie stepped into the storage room and made haste to locate where she stored Sinuda's blood. The blood bag in particular was stored in a specific part of the storage room. The blood containment unit. A unit that held the blood that had either been donated to or acquired. The unit was sorted by blood type and each blood type was sorted by the name of the original owner. Remembering what Jonas had mentioned in Sinuda's records, Julie knew that Sinuda's blood should be in section AB near the back. Fortunately, type AB blood is a rather rare type of blood so Sinuda's blood was very easy to find. Pulling the blood bag of the unit, Julie then began to look over the storage room to check over any unreported takings or placements. Although it wasn't strict protocol in the infirmary, as most staff were trusted to keep everything in check, Julie still did the once-ever every now and again to ensure that nothing went wrong. After ensuring that everything was in check, Julie promptly left the storage room and made her way back to the ward where Sinuda was waiting.

Jason simply nodded at Cecelia and followed suit, making sure to keep the same pace as the quick waitress. As Jason followed Cecilia, he quickly brushed his thoughts of the man behind him out from his mind. After all, it wasn't like the man was an immediate threat.

After walking a bit more upstream, Zero started some practicing and Ryofu is sitting on a nearby rock with her knees under her chin. Zero uses a think tree to use for practice his swings on. Ryofu watches Zero practice. "Zero good." She says as she watches. "Not really, I still have a ways to go." He says as he back grip swings to the left and whacks the tree hard. He stays still with the bokken on the tree for a minute. "Something wrong?" Ryofu asks. Zero slowly places his hands down. "Will I be able to find that witch and kill her?" He asks himself quietly while looking down.

"Zero?" Ryofu said as she tilts her head to her right. Zero quickly looks up and to his right at Ryofu. "Nothing. Just talking to myself." Zero says and then flips the bokken into a front grip and slides it into his left side of the belt. "You hungry? I'll treat." Zero asks. Ryofu's stomach growls, even though she just ate not too ago. Ryofu nods and stands up. "Ok, let me take a shower and I'll meet you at the entrance shortly." Zero said. "Ok." Ryofu said and they started to walk to the dorms.

"No matter how strong or what power the enemy has, I will fight and protect my friends, even if it cost me my life to protect them. I will fight until I die to ensure their future."

"Here goes, then..." Cygnus hesitated for a second, and began. The snow was fallinq heavier, but still soft like feathers.

Ceres, California - 4 years ago

"Father? Mother? Where did you go?" Cygnus asked as she wandered the Stallion mansion. His younger self was not as tall as he is now, but he was still taller than most other 14 year olds. His hair was relatively shorter, slightly short of his shoulder level. He looked... more innocent... at least for now.

He began running, running to find anyone in his empty house. No father, no mother, no Rosaline; Cygnus' nurse, not even Silver, Stallion family dog. The entire mansion was devoid of life, the inhabitants literally vanished overnight.

Except for Cygnus.

"Trista... I... will be leaving... I thank you... for everything you've done... to me." The Younger Cygnus was writing a note in front of Trista's house, his voice more determined than sorrowful. He was bent on finding his family and bringing them back home, but he haven't forgotten about Trista...

Trista... what a dreamy and charming girl she is. That fateful day when he met her subjected to a prank gone wrong... if Cygnus wasn't walking Silver that moment, there wouldn't've been Trista Soul in the present e
world. He knew how important he was to her, and how important she was to him, and he didn't want to subject her to more danger here, but finding his family was more important to him.

"Trista, I promise that I will return. Very, very soon." The Younger Cygnus muttered softly as he placed the note in the Soul family's mailbox and left Ceres to find his family...

2 years later

"So good of you to come here. Welcome to my humble home. I am Madame Franchesca."

Cygnus was taller. His hair was a bit longer, with the tip brushing his shoulderblades. His eyes knew hardship and difficulties he faced while looking for traces of his family... traces that led him to Madame Franchesca, a shady-looking woman living alone in the woods of Maine.

"You said you knew where my parents are?" Cygnus went straight to the point. He spent too much time chasing fake hints of the whereabouts of his family and he did not want to waste any more.

"Yes, indeed my child. Come, closer." Madame Franchesca cackled as she held up something. Upon closer inspection did Cygnus realize it was a gold medallion with a well-adorned S stroken across it: the Stallion emblem that only his father should've had.

"Why do you have this, Madame?" Cygnus' voice grew colder, his eyes wrathful.

Madame Franchesca cackled again. "Funny thing, fate is. Your father was oh so interested in magic when he was young... heiress of the mighty Stallion family, the most powerful of all noble family in the IAF..."

"Were you the one who kidnapped my parents... our staff..."

"Of course, magic doesn't come without a fee, so I asked him for a tiny bit of his fortune... how unfortunate is it that he forgot to pay me back.. so I had to come myself to receive the payment with a little... extra interest."

And there he lay, behind Madame Franchesca's hunched figure, lit by the candlelight, was his father's lifeless body. That was enough to send Cygnus into a fit of rage. Cygnus, who never wavered to any shock, who could never be angered, attacked Madame Franchesca like an animal, screaming in pain and misery.

"You dare to attack me?" Madame Franchesca, with agility impossible for a normal old woman, avoided Cygnus' attacks. She held up a book and chanted Hexium Progresso, which sent out a purple blast of energy towards Cygnus' heart. The hex struck dead on, but not before Cygnus threw a large crystal ball at her. The crystal ball shattered, bruising Madamr Franchesca with countless cuts, while Cygnus was knocked away. The hex cauded Cygnus' heart to pulse wildly, sending arcane energy throughout his body, ending at his arms and hands. Scurrying and barely recovering, Cygnus ran away.

"...gah... you wretched beast of the Stallion... Curse you. Curse you! You shall become wanderer and a vagabond forever. All mankind will grow resentful of you over time. And you will come back. When you do, you will die by my hands, and the Stallion fortune shall be mine... MINE! Your tattoo on your arms will be the mark of my curse! REMEMBER IT, CYGNUS STALLION!"

By the time Cygnus finished his story, the snow was falling heavily. He took off gloves, the gloves that he never took off since he left Ceres. And there, on his hands, swirled black lines of wicked patterns: the mark of his curse.

"I was branded an outcast by the same sorceress that killed my parents. I... cannot stay in one place for long, less I bring despair and death to my surroundings. I don't want to bring that to you and your friends. So I ask you... perhaps my final plead... will you rememer me as who I am, even when my curse causes you to resent me?"

"Cygnus... I had no idea..." Trista said. Her voice was filled with both sorrow and shock. "I didn't think it... That..." Trista quickly stopped in her tracks. Not because of her fear or loss of concentration. But because not only did she know that Cygnus knew what words Trista was going to say but also out of sorrow and sadness. Trista didn't even know what was worse. Cygnus' past, Trista's past, or even Cygnus' own doomed future. While it made Trista's own troubles seem minute compared to Cygnus', they still hit Trista very hard. This was the reason He left her. This affected her as much as it did to Cygnus. And that's where it hurt most. For the past two years, Cygnus tried his hardest not to bring his curse to Trista. He really did not want to have the same fate to happen between the two of them. And just like that, Trista's eyes began to water. She didn't know how to take this at all. Much like the first part of bad news imparted on Trista on that one night, Trista couldn't find any words to describe. Agony, you could say. Pain... in one's heart and soul. And, like the snow falling around the two individuals, Trista's tears began to descend down her face. Some of them dropping onto the floor while others began to soak Trista's own clothing. Before long, Trista began to break into tears once more. Of all the beings that could befall such a horrible fate... Amongst every being that could have received it... Cygnus had to be the one to receive it. And it made Trista question everything. Why? Why did it have to be Cygnus that had to take the blow? Why did the sorceress do it? Why couldn't she acquire the money through other means? Why couldn't the Stallions and the sorceress come to an agreement? Why? Why? Why? Right now, Trista couldn't think of anything other about the pain that she felt. The pain that reemerged from Cygnus' departure and also this new pain that she felt. This pain over the fact that Cygnus had been cursed. That his fate had been tainted and both Trista's and Cygnus' friendship was on the line.
