Trinity Soul University - Shopping District - Library

Progan slowly walked into the library, sipping on some milk he poured into a cup. He was quite surprised at how fast he managed to reach there as he searched for books on lightning magic. Luckily, he managed to find a few books on spells and how to control them. As he was finding somewhere to sit down and read, he saw some girls across he library also reading about magic. He thought he might as well say hi to them.

Room 201A - Female Dormitory - Trinity Soul

"Just like life indeed." Christina gave a weak smile. It seemed like her new roommate Spira had stories to tell... But that will come at later time. "I'll be in whatever room is left, organizing my things. If you need me, just call me out."

Kris was now relaxed and felt calm, indeed the weather was a good change for the wolf, but it also had a drawback since her fur was making heat. "Hm.. let´s make some snow" she said putting her hands together and blowing mildly to them, soon some snow appeared on her palms and she started eating it by pieces

"Its better than nothing" the white haired smiled while enjoying the cool dessert she was getting

          Trinity Soul University-Female Dorms-Room 202A

Kusuri stepped out of the shower refreshed. She stood in her room debating what to do for a while. I can unpack later, for now, while the sun is still up, might as well take a look around. She left her things on her bed and stepped out of her dormitory, making sure to securely lock the door behind her, a habit borne from her past. She then exited the dormitories, as she left, she saw a girl who seemed to be part canine summon some ice and enjoy her dessert. Studying here is going to be an interesting experience...

She wandered around the restaurant district, grabbed a bit more to eat from the cafeteria and stepped into the shopping district. Looking at the stores, she remembered she had a $50 gift card, that was much more than she usually had. She decided not to buy anything, she could eat at the cafeteria and it was better to conserve money for now. She stuck her head into the library, looked around at the quiet, stuffy atmosphere and left. She then entered the woods around the campus, there she felt better, it was as quiet as the library, but whereas in the library there was the small background noises of pages flipping, here there was the sound of small animals moving about. It was a more vibrant place and Kusuri felt more alive here. She started looking around the forest, wondering if she would find any plants she recognised in here.

Trista promptly returned the book to its rightful place. It was disappointing to see that the book provided absolutely no insight into Lunar magic. Trista pondered over the thought of where she could find information. Surely at least one of these books had an answer. Even if it was a small answer, it would still satisfy Trista. 'Light Magic and Beyond' It seemed like a hopeful choice. But upon skimming through and looking through the contents, it also provided nothing. 'Mystical Magics' Nothing. 'Unusual Elements' Still nothing. How could none of these books have anything? This simple task was beginning to get harder and harder by the second. It was also getting more frustrating by the second.

Trista felt like upping and leaving over this fruitless and annoying task. She had simply did not want to search any further. Proceeding back to where she was previously sat, Trista noticed that Sarah too had left. Without saying a simple goodbye, she just left her. Trista began to walk back through the magic section on her way out. While walking through it, she noticed a book on the floor. Having decency and courtesy, Trista moved over and kneeled down to pick up the book. What was this? A crescent moon print on the back cover. Could this be it? Trista turned the book over to see its title. 'Magic of the Night: A Guide to Lunar and Astral* Magic' This was it! The very book that Trista had been looking for. Trista did not know what on earth was Astral magic. And in all honesty, she didn't care at the moment. She had found the book that could provide with what she needed to know. Looking over this brilliant find, Trista noticed how it had several creases and dog-ears in its pages. This book appeared to have been used often back when there were Lunar magic students. Excited and relieved, Trista quickly put the book close to her and stood up. As she did, she noticed a boy that was roughly her age looking at her. Trista let out a quiet yelp and held her newly acquired book up to her face. Only her eyes were not covered by the book.

*(Note: Astral magic will not become an actual form of magic used in this RP. It will be referenced to over the course of Trista's story but it will not be used. Until I think to introduce Astral magic in some way and have a mod or SUSTIC approve it, Astral magic will be considered unused and/or unusable. Hope that doesn't cause any trouble.)

"Hi..." Progan said hesitantly, he knew that people were shy but this one looked very shocked. He saw that she was reading a book about Lunar magic and... Astral Magic? What was that? Anyway...Progan, was very hesitant on what to say next. "Um...my name is Progan, what is your name?"

Trista stared at the boy in front of her. He was a tall, young man with short blue hair. He was a beige cotton overcoat with a shirt and a blue tie underneath. Similar to Trista's attire. Trista was unsure of what to make of this boy, he seemed like most other students she had met so far. Andrew, Sarah, Sha Yun, and... Jason... All of them meeting Trista on various circumstances.
"Hi. Um... My name is Progan, what's your name?" The boy spoke out to Trista. His voice was cautious and hesitant. Was he shy as well? Or was he just being cautious around a girl like Trista.
"Um... My... My name is... Trista..." Trista said in a barely audible voice. It was so quiet that one would have to get really close to Trista to hear it clearly. Not that it helped considering Trista also had a book covering most of her face.

Trista mumbled something underneath her book. Did she say that her name was Trista? "Trista...that is a nice name..." Progan mumbled to himself, a little too loudly, "anyway...do you have lunar magic?" He said, unsure of how to phrase the sentence. Trista was very shy compared to anyone else he had met elsewhere and looked about the same age as him. He then took another sip of his milk, unsure of what to say next.

Progan then asked Trista a question. "Do you have Lunar magic?" It was a very direct question and one that Trista was not completely prepared for. Where on earth did such a question come from? Then Trista realised that she was holding a book that detailed Lunar magic with its front cover directly facing Progan. Of course, he was going to ask questions on her magic if she was holding a book relating to a specific element of magic. Like what had happened with Sarah and with Sha Yun and Lynne, Trista stepped around her answer. Despite what Sha Yun had said and the pieces of advice and encouragement that Sarah gave, Trista was still uncomfortable about talking about her element. It was such an unusual and rare thing. And it had only lead to what had happened... back then...

Trying her best not to recall her past, Trista decided to bite the bullet and answer Progan's question.
"I... Erm... Yes... Yes, I... do..." Trista shyly answered. Her voice had only picked slightly in volume. Enough to be audible but not to a confident speaking tone. This boy, Progan, was very straightforward and didn't seem to be the one for small talk or conversation. Trista was uncertain on whether to trust him or not.

"I... Erm... Yes... Yes, I... do..." Trista shyly answered. Wow, this girl sure is shy. Progan didn't really know what to do, he was usually good with casual conversation, but he was not used to this awkwardness. Not knowing what to do, he continued drinking is milk, hopefully getting an idea....

"Um... care if I join you?" Progan asked. Clearly, Progan did not like the awkwardness, he had nothing left that he could think of.

After entering the shopping district, she wondered what to do next. S she had not been out for a few years, she didn't know where to go and what she would find. She could remember stores, but not what they sold. In her mind, everything was a store it was the only thing she knew about. In the end she decided to enter what looked like a book store.

While in her room she had been constantly reading books. Most of the time she didn't even know what she was reading because of her lack of knowledge about the outside world. Despite that she loved to learn about the outside world. She had also been studying with the help of books. She was still pretty far behind, but it definitively helped. That was the reason she entered this building. She needed books to study magic.

Once inside she paid no attention to the other two person that where there and subplot began looking for books about blood magic. It was as if they didn't even exist. That doesn't mean that they wouldn't notice her however. There where many things that made her stand out. Her clothing, her facial expression, her distant attitude. She was certainly not a normal person at all.

Continuing with his straightforwardness, Progan then asked Trista if he could join her. Trista was highly unsure on what to say or what to do. She was very uncomfortable with what is going on and would rather like to be left in peace. But at the same time, she didn't want to outright refuse to let Progan join her. It would be rude and Trista didn't want to offend Progan by doing so. It appeared that Trista was caught between a rock and a hard place. Let Progan join her despite the obvious fact that Trista wasn't comfortable with it or refuse and potentially offend someone. In the end, Trista chose the former option. She may not like it but it wouldn't be as bad as being harsh to someone.
"Erm... Yes." Trista quietly replied. She then lead Progan to where she had sat earlier with Sarah and sat at her spot. Without any hesitation, Trista then opened her book and began to read through the introductionary section. The foreword from the author and the basic introduction. She was uncertain on what Progan was going to do or say so she took the time to read and maybe answer any of Progan's questions.

After seeing that Trista started reading her book, Progan went straight into the book. Usually, he would speed read through the entire thing. However, he was unsure of how magic works, so he decided to take his time to read it, and maybe also try to know Trista a little bit more. He first read about how spells worked and how to control it.

Shortly after, he started to play around with an electrical bolt on his finger. The electric bolt danced around his finger and explored it. Suddenly, remembers that he could accidentally cause a fire and stopped the electrical bolt immediately.

"You are shy aren't you?" Progan asked teasingly, looking up from his book.

Trista closely read her book. The details might have seemed boring to the common person or to one who was not interested in reading at all. But to Trista, they were words that could provide a lot of information for her. Many things can be learned from a few words. That was a phrase that Trista always went by. While reading, Trista came across a few interesting parts in the introduction.

'Astral and Lunar magic are the magic of the celestial objects. Both of them require the power of their respective orbs to work. Astral magic requiring the power of the stars while Lunar magic requires the power of the moon. [...] Both magic types can be considered very similar due to their nature but they can also be considered opposites. [...] Astral magic focuses on offensive spells such as astral bolts and harmful flashes of starlight. Lunar magic, on the other hand, is more defensive and support based. These can include wards, healing, sensing abilities, and numerous others. Further details on common Lunar and Astral spells can be found in their respective sections.'

This enraptured Trista and greatly interested her. This could provide a good amount of insight into what she could be possible of. But without sufficient training or guidance from Daichi, this book only served as lists of possible abilities, skills, and other fine details regarding the nocturnal magics. But Trista noticed in one single passage alone something that both worried and interested Trista further. Sensing abilities. Was what had happened with Drake an actual abilities of hers? Trista only thought that she was just having a nervous feeling of foreboding. But it might have been much more. Trista quickly turned over to the pages where the passive Lunar abilities were and-

"You are shy, aren't you?" Progan asked Trista. Trista reeled back and shook a little from surprise. Out of nowhere, Progan called out to her just as she was about to discover what her senses were about. Talk about bad timing...
"I... Erm..." Trista attempted to reply but then let out a small giggle. Here she was trying to answer his question on whether she was shy or not and stuttering in the process. "I... I guess you could... say that." Trista followed up with a little giggle. Her voice had picked up volume and a bit of confidence. It may not have been anywhere near enough to stop the stuttering or hesitation but it was an advancement from being very quiet and afraid.

Seeing that Trista had became slightly more open than before, Progan smiled and went back to reading his book. He did not want to disturb Trista any further, maybe could find something helpful.

"Electrical type magicians have a tendency to like doing things quickly." Progan was quite surprised to find it accurate, he had recently began to want to do things quicker, this applied for everything, even for his programs.

"Although electrical magic is mainly used in offensive spells, electrical magic can also be used to help in everyday things. The simplest example is a light source, however, electricity magic can be risky to use. If anything accidentaly goes wrong, results could be catastrophic." Suddenly, Progan was glad that he had stopped the electrical spark before it had caused any other damage.
