Arcade - Shopping District - Trinity Soul University

"I wish I didn't have to skulk about in the shadows during the day all the time," Sarah Hunnigan complained as she darted into another patch of shade.

Such was the life of a vampire. It was a constant battle against the sun, one they had no chance of winning. Sarah had heard a rumor of one arrogant vampire trying to blot out the sun, but it was just a children's story. Like humans, every creature was engaged in a battle they could not win. All Sarah could do was make sure that she used as little energy as possible during the daytime, and that she relied on her mother's staff to get her through long stretches of light without getting winded.

This earned her more than a few odd looks from fellow students. Sarah, bubbly and understanding as she was, paid no heed to the awkward looks and instead slinked into the cover of a nearby building. To her good fortune, a glimpse at the map revealed that this was the arcade. Taking a deep breath and composing herself within the shadows, Sarah smiled and ventured forth into the chilly interior.

The arcade looked like a new addition to the university if its modern exterior design was any indication. It tried to blend in with other structures and their vintage masks, but the LED lights and neon signs on the windows gave it away. Inside the arcade were numerous consoles and gaming platforms ready for someone to grab a hold of and play to their heart's content. On one side of the large room were a few large TV screens complete with sound systems, multiple controllers, and beanbags for comfort and style. Although unaccustomed with most tech, Sarah figured this must have costed more than a pretty penny.

Her attention drifted from the lights to the new age music that wafted throughout the arcade until she discovered a large machine near the center of the room. Curious, Sarah discovered that the machine was a Dance Dance Revolution game, fit for two people. Players could play the arcade machines free of charge, seeing as there were game consoles littered about that had no coin slots. The vampire smiled and walked up to the DDR machine, pleasantly surprised that the screen lit up when she touched the dance pad. It was as if it had called to her!

Not one to turn down a challenge, Sarah perused the song lists...

Library - Shopping District - Trinity Soul University | Day

And like that, Progan went back to reading his book. He seemed to be both straightforward and spontaneous. Like Sarah but more straightforward. Trista anticipated more conversation from Progan but it appeared that he did not want to bother Trista anymore. Not that it mattered much to Trista, she had just found an important piece of information. Whatever was contained with this page would help Trista not only understand what had happened but to potentially understand what aspect about Drake could have caused it. Trista steadily brought her book back up and began to read the section that detailed passive Lunar abilities.
Eventually, Trista found the article that she was looking for. The Umbral Sense.

'The Umbral Sense is a passive ability possessed by most Lunar magic users. It is the ability to sense specific individuals based upon their lunar aura.
The lunar aura is a concept used to describe how the Umbral Sense differentiates people from each other. Everyone's lunar aura is different but it will always reflect the owner. Some auras are violent, others are calm, and there are those that wish assist others.
The Umbral Sense allows the user to sense these auras and, depending on the aura's nature relative to the user's, it can produce a variety of effects. The effects are completely dependant upon the user's own aura and the target's. The more different and conflicting the target's aura is compared to their own, the stronger the effects. As a result of the Sense's relative nature, it is next to impossible to document the list of effects that the user may experience.
Masters of the Umbral Sense can use it to not only sense who is nearby but where they are and what they may be experiencing with great precision. But people who have yet to master it are known to get easily confused by what the Umbral Sense is telling them and get surprised by the spontaneous nature of an untrained Sense. They can sense exactly what a master would. The difference between a master and a novice of this ability is their understanding of how their Sense works and how to focus it.'

It turned out that what Trista was experiencing was known as the Umbral Sense. Unfortunately, it appears that Trista is completely alone when it comes to mastering her Sense and finding out what it told her about Drake. Something about the phrase 'conflicting and different' made Trista worry greatly. This was the first time that Trista's Umbral Sense had ever been activated or done anything noteworthy so it might have been that Drake's aura is completely different to her own. But in what way? Was he just very talkative and spontaneous? Was he brave? But if that were the case, why would her Sense give her a feeling of foreboding? Trista knew that she had to be cautious around Drake. She just didn't know how Drake would behave around her or what exactly her Sense was telling her.
Thinking about her Sense, Trista wondered how it would come in handy. Could she use it to detect when someone was going to approach her and speak to her? If she could, it would greatly come in handy. As this point, more questions started to fill Trista's head to replace her initial one. How does one use the Umbral Sense? Is it always active? Does Trista have to activate through some means like her other abilities? If it is always active, how does user tap into it? How do they know when they are sensing others? This was something that Trista would have to ask Daichi about when the time comes.

Trista looked up from her book and looked around the room for a clock. How long had Trista been in this library? Judging by the clock on the wall, it could have been anywhere from half an hour to one-and-a-half hours. Had it really been that long? Knowing the time that she had spent and the remaining amount of time she had, Trista couldn't stay here for long. She still needed to do some things in the shopping district before heading back to her dorm. Trista needed to get a few books from the bookstore and then give those candies to Sha Yun. Thinking about it, Sha Yun would be wondering where Trista is and what was happening. A very ironic thought. Trista had gone to the shopping district to find Lynne because Trista was wondering where she had gone. And now the roles had been reversed, Lynne was probably back at the dorms while Trista was over here in the shopping district. With little time to spare, Trista closed her book and turned to Progan.
"I... I need to go now. N-Nice... meeting you, Progan." Trista said to Progan as she began to walk off to the front of the library to checkout her book.
Smash through the blocks that bar your way; No time for fear, just let it all fall away; Nobody believes in me and you, Just look at the way they stare; So what if we live in a walled garden, As long as I've got you then I don't care!

"Electrical magic users do not like to beat around the bush, they would find the most direct way possible."

Progan was quite surprised that ones magic type can affect a persons personalty.

"I... I need to go now. N-Nice... meeting you, Progan." Trista said. She finally spoke without Progan having to ask her a question! Although this was nothing to be celebrating about, Progan felt happy for some reason. Still, Progan had to stay in the library as he had to been notified of his form ro...

"vee... " Progan nearly jumped out of the chair when the phone suddenly vibrated. "Your dormitory room is 321B, please come here to pick up the key to your room." Okay, time to get out of the library, I am starting to get cold in here ...

Library - Shopping District - Trinity Soul University - <Sinuda>

Sinuda quickly found her way to the books she was looking for. The darker section you could call it. Where books that told dark magic would normally lie. At first she only found a few books about shadow magic. Although it was similar, it was not quite the same. Just to be safe however she grabbed on of them and opened it up in one of the first few pages and began to read. There were many things that made sense, but there were also many things that did not make sense. It was more the things that didn't make sense that she needed to focus on. What already made sense was things like how to get started with magic, how to call i fourth, the mindset and so forth.

After looking some more she rather small area for blood magic. When you thought about it, it kind of made sense. Not everyone would like to write about something like blood magic. Many would probably even think of it like taboo, like her parents for example. She didn't care much however. At least she didn't want to care too much. If she did or not she didn't really know.

After looking trough about five or six books she finally found something which looked like high quality. The cover was not overly decorated, but it was not too simple either. The pages themselves were very used, but not too old compared to it's use. The text inside of the book was finely made by hand. Even the name of the book was right, "Crimson black magic". She knew this was the book she was after.

Now she just had to buy it. This was a book store after all. She couldn't just leave without paying. The problem was that she didn't know the price. For all she knew it could have a ridiculously high price. Luckily for her there was another girl there that she could ask. It looked like she was leaving however. If she was leaving then it was probably better to leave her alone, yet if she didn't asked she would lose her chance to find the price of the book. In the end she decided to walk up the the the girl and ask. If there were a punishment for bothering the girl, then she would just have to take it. "Excuse me. Do you know the price of this book?" she asked in a monotone voice with a slight hint of fear behind it.

            outside female dormitories

Kris went outside to enjoy the sun of the schoolgrounds "Ahh.. nothing like some time of peace" she said closing her eyes while feeling the calm breeze

The wolf sat at a near bench and took out her coat, her furred limbs made her look around at first if someone was at eye view. Noticing that she was safe, the white haired massaged her limbs "These are handy when it is cold, but here it is rather hot. Not that it bothers me though"

Kris flinched as someone got to her without her knowing "Oh! um.. hi there" she greeted him, the white haired hoped that this guy wasn´t like the volatile boy at the training fields.

Taking her chance the wolf answered the guy "I.. can´t change form, this is how I was born" she said rather calmly

"But you're a half-breed right? They can change between human and animal formes. I know because a friend of mine is a half-breed so I can tell if someone is a half or not. He goes here, silver hair and red eyes, can't miss him. Though I don't know how it's done since I'm human." Amata said to the girl. "Though due to his dragon half, his anger gets to him, especially when a witch is involve. If you happen to meet him and he gets angry, don't blame him, okay?" Amata said as he sat down on the ground next to the bench.

"Anyways, I have tried to change either human or wolf, but it just doesn´t happen, so Im ok with it" the wolf answered him

Kris sighed and started explaining "I was training with my magic on the training fields when he came and suggested that we should spar, but a man who I think uses blood magic needed some help. Soon a friend of his landed or crashlanded on her case and we learned she was a witch"" with that the wolf couldnpt help but smile

"She was the first witch I have seen in my life, but Zero´s anger got him first and shooed away before I could speak with her. I was angered by how rude he was to someone else and when I asked him why he did that, he exploded at me saying a witch killed his mother" Kris felt some sadness about it, but that wasn´t enough reason to what he did

"While he exploded, Zero swong an imaginary sword at me, that is when he sparked my anger so I left ignoring whatever he might have said" the wolf said as some ice started forming behind the bench caused by her anger

Amata sighed. "I know him well. He swung his arm out of anger because of the witch, not swinging an imaginary sword at you, just the motion matched. I did hear that a witch attacked a dragon clam area so I guess it was his after all." Amata said with his head on his right hand with his right elbow on his right knee. "I'm sure none of it was towards you so next time you two meet, please forgive him. He doesn't do well with others so he doesn't have much friends, just me and my sister. If he tries to make some, it fails most of the time so he gets reserved around others but to say all that to you, he must see something about you." Amata said looking at the girl.

The ice at the back of the bench got big enough so she could reach it and snap a piece of it. Taking the ice piece to her mouth, the wolf swallowed it easily If you say he does try to make friends, then he must understand the people around him to actually trust him"

Amata then spots Zero walking towards the dorms. "Speak of the devil, hey Zero!" Amata said then yelled at Zero. Zero turns to his left and sees Amata with Kris. Zero walks over to them. "Hey Amata."
