"Funny thing. I was at the grocery store an hour ago and bought some Tostitos." Christina spoke in a matter-of-fact voice as she pointed at the plastic bag on the kitchen table. "Good, we'll have our first-night-of-the-year feast."

Sarah beamed at Christina's thoughtfulness. When great minds think alike, the possibilities were endless. With chips at the ready and willing tasters eager to unwind, Sarah cemented her desire to make salsa for the night. Perhaps they could all unwind during that time and get to know each other a little better. After all, there was nothing better than food or drink to spur on a conversation.

"Wicked," Sarah exhaled. She turned to glance at Spira for a moment before asking, "Oh, before I forget, is anyone allergic to anything? Any medical things I should know about? No one has haemophobia, right?"

The vampire hoped nobody had an irrational fear of blood, else explaining her status would make things difficult.

"None, really." Christina shrugged as she wondered: Why haemophobia as an example? Must've been the first thing that came up to her mind. "Wow, so you're gonna be our doctor too? Cool."

Spira was thrilled about the idea of food. Normally she would just eat her snack all day long except for a few occasions, but this was different. Now she could have a proper meal for once. When Sarah mentioned allergies and haemophobia. She didn't even know what haemophobia was. "Well apart from eating a lot I don't think there are anything special. I don't even know what haemophobia is anyway" Spira said with a slight chuckle at the end.

So, nobody had any pressing concerns or medical problems. Sarah only meant well by asking the question, for she didn't want to come into the room and find someone having a seizure and not know what to do about it. Humans were host to a variety of diseases and defects, none of which were their fault. No one could control what they were born with, so they made the best with what they had. Knowing her roommates health concerns was important, and Sarah didn't want to be caught out of the loop.

Yet, some part of Sarah wanted health information for her own gains. If there was any impurities in her roommates' blood, and if Sarah was driven to do something drastic to sustain herself should her supply run out, she couldn't survive on diseased blood. In fact, drinking diseased blood may as well kill her, if not make her very sick. Disgusted with that thread of thought, Sarah shook her head and made a face before she heard Christina talk about her being some sort of resident doctor. Giving a sheepish smile, Sarah shook her head.

"I... I wouldn't be the best doctor ta be honest," Sarah replied. "I imagine me dark magic can do something if I put me mind to it, but..."

Stop talking, stop talking, stop talking, Sarah screamed in her mind. She needed a distraction, and by the great Loch Ness, she found one in Spira's inquiry.

"Haemophobia is... Well, it's a strong, irrational fear of blood, mate," Sarah explained to Spira. "Fer instance, some people hate needles to the point where they scare the everlivin' daylights outta them. For a haemophobic, seeing blood would drive 'em up a tree."

"Well I can do some basic first-aid and CPR..." Christina remembered: two years ago in Hawaii, a teenage boy almost drowned. Christina, age 18, went to save the boy's life with a quick CPR. Christina was brazen, but the boy spouted blood from his noise like an anime scene. "In my line, it's kinda necessary to learn little of everything if you don't want to end up dead... But that's a story for later."

A headache? How on earth did Sha Yun come up with that?* Although Trista had just got a headache when encountering that strange woman, the other time was actually something different. From Trista could seem to gather, depending on the nearby auras, her Sense would produce different reactions. Drake gave her a sense of foreboding and that woman gave her a headache. What other effects could occur? What else would Trista experience? Would she be ready to experience those things? Could she even ignore them or dispel them?
"Well... I didn't quite get a headache from Drake... But... Erm... Yes. Yes, I did get a headache. F-From reading this book, I... I think I have the power to sense people." Trista hesitantly said to Sha Yun. She didn't know how Sha Yun would react to this. Would Sha Yun think of this power negatively? Trista having the potential to sense where everyone is at that very instant. It was a power with a lot of potential but it seemed rather daunting and hard to master. Could Trista even master it?

*(Note to other RPers {WRIGGLE!}: The Umbral Sense will not exclusively give Trista headaches. Headaches are merely one of the numerous effects that can occur from her Sense. There will be a wide number of effects, all of which I have already charted and listed for almost each character that Trista has encountered or has yet to encounter. Hearing that Christina knew her way around a needle and that she knew some CPR was great! It really calmed Sarah's nerves to know that at least someone other than her knew what to do in an emergency. The vampire knew she had a good amount of self-control, but when there were bloody wounds, she figured it would be best if someone else did the patching up. She would have to get over this fear of herself if she wanted to pursue medical magic with her dark affinity.

"That's really good, Chris," Sarah applauded with a smile. "Ye don't mind if I just call ya Chris, do ya?"

"Oh so different people have different sense or whatever?" Sha Yun asked with curiosity. "Or is it only for separate people?"

"Eeeeh... Would prefer if you called me Christie instead." Christina fidgeted. Chris was the codename she went by when she was with the Russian KGB for a few years. Let's say things... Didn't go too well.

Sha Yun raised a good question, one that Trista could easily answer but at the same time left some uncertainties. Her Sense does react differently, from what she could tell. But Trista has only ever had happen to two people. She couldn't be too certain.
"Well... From what I've read, depending on who it is I'm am sensing, it'll produce different effects. The one that just happened gave me a headache... And... And... Drake's... I'm not too sure on what Drake's was like. It felt like... like I knew something bad was going to happen... Something about that just made me afraid. More so than I usually am... But... I don't know how it truly works or what to expect of it... I can't even control it." Trista said to Sha Yun. It was most of what she had to go on. All of what Trista had said was true. She did not know anything about her Sense except for what was provided in that book. And even then, it did tell as to how one would use their Sense or how to focus it, only what it does and the basic principles of it.

"Fair enough," Sarah answered Christina.

The vampire didn't detect that the nickname of Chris caused Christina to fidget. A name was a name, and it held no meaning other than whatever the named gave it. Shaking her head, Sarah turned her back on her two roommates as she began her investigation of the room's kitchen. It was small and practical, but it would do for all that the vampire wanted to create. There were cooking utensils, including a cutting knife, cook-book, large bowl, mashers, forks, and tons of other good stuff. Sarah figured she could even bake a cake if she wanted to, perhaps with strawberry icing and ice cream on the side.

Energetic at the thought, Sarah hopped up and beamed.

"Anybody got themselves a favorite dish?"

"That's cool!" Sha Yun laughed. "That means you can feel people approaching you. No one can sneak up on you."

Trista giggled in response. It was a nice thought to have the ability to know when people would approach her. It would at least mean that events like what had happened earlier would not be too much of a problem. Although Trita would still be uncomfortable with talking to the person, it would mean that Trista wouldn't give a bad impression by being outright startled by them. But Trista had no control over it. And she could only sense auras that were overwhelmingly different. If she could sense indifferent auras like Lynne's, then Trista would have sufficient control over it and a decent level of mastery. Right now, Trista really needed to learn how to actually use her Sense.
"That would be nice but... I don't even know how to work it or even focus it. This book doesn't give any insight into it." Trista said as she opened up the Lunar magic book.

TSU Male Dorm: 323B

"So, what's up?" Zero asks as he stretches to wake up more. "I figure I come by and see if you've had lunch yet." Raylin says looking around. "No I haven't yet. We had breakfast only a few hours ago." Zero said as he walks towards the couch and sits down. Zero notices that Raylin doesn't have her arm sleeves and waist guard on. "Well, how about having some with me?" Raylin asks looking at Zero. "All I have is snacks." Zero said laying down. "That's no good, let's head to the shopping district." Raylin said as she grabs his right arm and pulls him out of the room.

TSU Female Dorm: 204A

Ryofu wakes up after a few minutes of being placed on a bed. She looks around and sees that her shoes are off and her duffle bag is next to the bed. She removes her waist cape and her arm sleeves and leaves the room. She hears a humming noise coming from another room. She opens the door and finds Kris humming at a desk and writing something. "Kris...... humm........ nice." She said peeking in.
