Hey everyone welcome to my first RP here on the forums, and my first RP ever. I have decided to make it a Mecha RP based on several different series ranging from Gundam, to Pacific Rim. Well... here it goes...
PROLOGUE:
In the year 2400 a war between nations broke out over the globe. This wasn't really a global war though, this was an intergalactic war between planets. As fate would have it a intergalactic race once known as the Mechon had invaded Earth. The Mechon were a fierce, highly advanced race that were both mechanical, and biological in nature. At first the Mechon seemed harmless enough, only after resources like iron, and other ores. All major governments of Earth where wary of this. They were also too afraid to attack the Mechon, as they were unsure of how dangerous they really were. However the Mechon did something unexpected... they left the planet... The Government were confused but relieved as the Mechon suddenly left... until they returned one year later with... malicious intents.
The Mechon came back, and they attacked several cities. All Major Governments grew scared. As nothing they thrown at them would seemingly phase the Mechon army. The Government banded together to think up of some way to defend Earth, and stop these invaders. Eventually a lone man came forth and brought up this idea... You see 50 years before hand a major war on Earth had taken place, and during said war large humanoid robots were built for trained men to pilot. However they were not used because they were deemed "too dangerous" against other humans... This man brought this fact up.
"If they were too dangerous against other humans, then they might be strong enough to use against these dreadful alien invaders..."
The Government were at first hesitant, but it was one of the only options they had left. So what they did was they brought these "Mechs" back, and got them up and running. They had trained enough men to pilot these large machines which have been called "Arm Slaves". Much to their luck these Arm Slaves were just what they needed. Earth managed to fight off the Mechon, and things...went back to normal.
Skip 200 years into the future and the earth is still at peace. All major Governments banded together and created one large Government, more of these Arm Slaves were built, and are now mostly Mass Produced, and even customized.
There are now special schools for training people to pilot these mechs all over the globe, and there are even tournaments for specially customized ones. Unfortunately for them though... the Mechon they fought against 200 years ago...
Were only part of a bigger army... and that army is heading towards Earth as we speak...
RULES:
Rule 1: No matter what happens no Godmodding, Powergaming, or Meta-Gaming. If caught I will punish you severely.
Rule 2: No Sexually Explicit stuff, and no cursing and all. If you do just censor it out as best as possible.
Rule 3: Do not start any major story or plot points without MY permission.
Rule 4: Be Respectful of others.
Rule 5: Do not start picking random fights with others. In the IC and OOC.
Rule 6: Other General RP rules apply.
Rule 7: Try to make decent and decently lengthed posts. I don't personally mind short posts of a sentence or two, but I prefer a post of about three sentences or so in length.
Rule 8: Have Fun.
ABOUT ARM SLAVES:
Arm Slaves are the Mech's of this Universe. Arm Slaves are humanoid in shape, and possess powerful weapons, unique power sources, operating systems, and usually an Artificial Intelligence system inside the mech to help aid the pilot. The general height of a Arm Slave is about 27 ft, but the size and armanents of each Arm Slave can differ depending on the Manufacturer. Though the legal max height for a Arm Slave is 13 meters (45 ft.) The design of an Arm Slave can also differ on the pilot's recommendations, and the Manufacturer. Since Arm Slaves can be mass produced certain people who have their Arm Slave Licencse can ask for their own custom Arm Slaves.
ARM SLAVE TYPES
Arm Slaves are generally condensed into different types based on their specs, and specialties. The types are as follows:
Power Type: Arm Slaves that focus on having more physical power than anything are considered to be Power Types.
Speed Type: Mech's that are built to be lighter, faster, and overall more mobile than other mech's.
Defense Type: These mech's are generally larger, and built to withstand heavy damage. They might not be the most offensive, but they are quite literal tanks on the battlefield. They also aren't the fastest, unless they are lighter in weight, but armed with some sort of shielding system.
Stamina Type: These mech's are generally all around in terms of statistics, but they are designed to run for much longer periods of time on the battlefield. Capable at running at near maximum power even when damaged.
Stealth: Mech's built for more stealthy situations. Usually can be armed with a personal Optical Camouflage. These types aren't really the strongest, fastest, or most defensive.
These types don't determine what your mech is, but they do define what they are. The type you list for your mech also help me determine what kind of UPGRADES your character's mech obtains. For example if you choose a Defensive type your character's mech will receive upgrades that cater to your mech's defensive capabilities.
