I'm confused... Lunasa how does your character immediately know that just because Selene has 7 clocks strapped to her belt, that she is a Chronomancer? Just having clocks on you does not immediately mean Chronomancer...

Sorry just asking...

I was going to say something but decided to wait until someone said something about it.

Sustic you need to be less lenient with things like this. This is a blatant meta-gaming and it violates the most fundamental rule of RPing.

@Wriggle

Don't you think I know that?

That's why I brought it up. If Lunasa does not respond or does not fix his post within the next 12-24 hours then I will get onto him, ask him to delete his post, then I will enact action.

honestly it could be passed off as an educated guess, albeit if it were phrased differently to reflect it. A simple edit would suffice.
I don't necessarily have a problem with this, as it doesn't change anything in particular with how selene would react.

That's also why I said if he doesn't fix his post. A simple edit can easily fix it, but if he does not fix it within 12-24 hours then a more serious action will be enacted.

Seven clocks seems oddly specific, don't you think? I mean, what else could it possibly be other than chronomancy? Or perhaps it's a highly specialized form of Artificer Magic. Either way, it's an assumption that could have been signaled with a better choice of words.

Fixed.

Yes, but Chronomancy is also a specific guess. We didn't even know if your character is or WAS aware of Chronomancy until now. In fact even some of my characters (not including NPC's) are fully aware of all magic types like Lunar Magic, Chronomancy, and possibly even other types (Like Form Change type.) Not that Chronomancy isn't common or rare... (though due to the potential OPness it can possess, I would probably make it a bit more of an uncommon type of magic like with Blood Magic.)

Yes Seven Clocks can be a bit... suspicious, but that doesn't IMMEDIATELY mean someone is a Chronomancer. It could potentially mean other things not related to magic (they could be heirlooms handed down to her, or she could just be a collector.)

Listen when it comes to potential Meta-Gaming I get VERY on edge.

I could wear 7 clocks right now. Hell I actually have 7 wristwatches I can wear. Does that make me a chronomancer?

I have Lynne wear all black clothes, and yet she isn't a Dark magic user.

What I'm trying to say is that it's really risky to ask a "yes-or-no" type of questions in an RP as it tips over the metagaming portion of the RP which is HIGHLY frowned upon.

Besides, asking someone of their magic type when they haven't even asked for their names is kind of creepy.

Considering that the person you're talking to is currently in a bush, I don't really think it's the appropriate time to introduce yourself.

Mentioning something such as magic would be like if you're sitting next to someone who is wearing a Rolex and you ask 'Wow, is that a Rolex?' It's idle conversation generated from an interesting aspect related to someone that doesn't require an introduction prior to the initial conversation starter.

As for the knowledge of Chronomancy, I think that Anthony would have heard of it since he is a Siren, a creature of Greek origins, and perhaps he would have read to learn about his heritage and stumbled upon Chronos, the Greek god of time.

Also, Wriggle, your examples are very weak. You wearing seven watches means that you're just wearing watches, nothing special except for a little eccentricity. However, in a world of magic, such a thing would actually mean something along the lines of a specialization involving clocks, time, or any other significance involving the object. As for the example with clothes, I know fully well that clothes means next to nothing. I can judge a book by its cover all I want, but I'm more prone to pay attention to a book with seven clocks on it than one with a monochrome cover.
