then...how did you get such a straight edge for the darkness overlay? Because I see the wing of Leon overlapping behind Leon on the other side...

Easy. Both screens have the same characters in the same positions.
I filled the WHOLE night pic with 1 giant darkness object (so the whole night screen was darkened).
Both screens were screenshotted and I copied half of the night screen onto the day screen.
Both halfs are rectangles by the way.
