I will now slap you 3096 times for not getting that Phoenix Downs are from FF. Bravely Default uses a lot of concepts from FF because it has the same devs and everything.

...and I thought the cheesy job class outfits and enemies inflicting status effects way early in the game was the extent of the FF influence.

3100 Braves and Defaults

Bravely Default's job system is more like FF V than anything.
But the fact that it's a turn-based RPG that let's you use up to 4 of your turns at once makes it quite different from turn-based FFs and Golden Sun alike.
