Delayed 1.6 Updates

We will NOT be updating to 1.6 for a while.
We run Bukkit as our server which is a modification of the vanilla minecraft server. That being said, Bukkit probably won't update for about a week or two so we can't even switch even if we wanted to. Aside from that, we still need to wait for plugins to finish updating to the new bukkit, which again probably won't be out for a week or two.

That being said I'd say don't expect us to switch to 1.6 for about a month.

If you've already updated, then go to http://assets.minecraft.net/1_5_2/minecraft.jar and if you are on a:

Mac:

1. Go to User/YourUser/Library/ApplicationSupport/minecraft/bin/
2. Drag and drop/replace the minecraft.jar you just downloaded
3. Start MC!

Windows:

1. Open up the start menu and type in %APPDATA% in the search window (at the bottom) and hit enter
2. Go to /Roaming/.minecraft/bin/
3. Drag and drop/replace the minecraft.jar you just downloaded
4. Start MC!

You don't need help.

tl;dr We won't update to 1.6 until Bukkit and the plugins we have installed are all updated.


edit: At this point, not updating because I'm in Japan and I don't have enough time to make the switch, bug test, and do the other 20 things which are needed cuz big changes with 1.6 server-side for Gensokyo.

If you are using the new launcher:
1. Press the "Edit profile" button.
2. Next to "Use Version:" scroll near the bottom and select 1.5.2
3. Click "Save Profile".
4. Enjoy

This thread doesn't make sense, the old launcher doesn't update to 1.6. just whatever you do don't delete the current launcher and go to the other one.

There are people who've already updated to 1.6, though. That's the reason I even made this thread in the first place ._.

I have one announcement to make; as of 1.6.2, sitting in chairs will NOT work anymore. This is due to the client now ignoring the "sitting" packet (basically, in laymen terms, the client will ignore any data sent to the client saying xyz is sitting).

I don't know how they work currently, but I managed to use a very stupid method that's being used currently that involves an arrow.

When I talked with remi last (about two-three days ago) he said he'd be back in 10 days or less, so somewhere in that area. "theoretically anyways"
