The "Dragon's Nest" is a battle arena built near Hana no Machi. It's main purpose is for fighting tournaments. This building can be identified by having a large dark-red roof and being topped with flames.
I. INTRODUCTION
The matches are conducted in an elimination-style setup. Each player draws a random number from a dispenser and fighters are paired based on who get matching numbers. Because of the server's current lack of Kagome bills, players will instead wager valuable items as the prize. The winner takes all the items wagered, with the runner-up receiving a consolation prize (usually emeralds, enchanted books, etc.).
All participants are to sign up on this forum and to state what items they plan to gamble during the tournament. Everyone must offer something, and PLEASE don't wager something stupid like a stack of dirt or leaves. Try to come up with something that could actually be considered a prize. Some ideas would include:
+ Enchanted books/armor/tools/weapons
+ Diamond/gold/iron/emerald blocks
+ Elytra
+ Nether Stars/Beacons
Y'know, stuff that could actually be considered rare? It's not much of a wager if players don't put up anything valuable.
II. EQUIPMENT
Contestants are responsible for bringing their own items into the ring. The tournament is not obligated to provide them with anything.
EQUIPMENT ALLOWED IN THE RING:
+ Swords/Axes
+ Bows and arrows
+ armor/Shields
+ Enchanted equipment
+ Arrows with potion effects
Remember that this isn't a paintball field - it's a battle arena where you fight your opponent face-to-face.
III. RULES OF THE RING
I am going to make the rules about this place very clear. Players can be jerks sometimes and I won't have bad behavior taking place here. Before we begin, I would like to reference YukkuriCraft's rule on PvP:
YukkuriCraft Rule #7: "Do not pvp without consent"
"Some occasional PvP between friends is fun, but make sure whoever you're killing knows and is okay with it! If there's no consent, this can fall under player griefing!"
Rule 1: The fighting "ring" is the large white carpeted area surrounded by fence, sitting in the middle of the arena's interior.
This is where combat takes place, and nowhere else.
Rule 2: Combat can take place at any time in the ring, and that is the ONLY place on the entire server where this is permitted.
Fighting anywhere else is subject to the Rules of YukkuriCraft regarding PvP and attacking other players. This place is meant for fun and sport - not overturning the server rules.
Rule 3: Going into the ring automatically gives your consent to PvP.
HOWEVER, if someone has tricked you into teleporting here and killed you, PLEASE CONTACT ME and I will make sure a staff member assists you. I will NOT tolerate abuse of my battle arena to grief other players. Those who do will be reported to the mediators for their actions, as well as banned from the arena entirely and any future tournaments.
To clarify on Rule 3, "going into the ring" means going through the gates that you enter from either side. Being teleported into the arena DOES NOT COUNT as going in.
Rule 4: Those hosting the tournament cannot be held responsible for unconsented PvP and will let mediators handle the enforcement of the server rules.
If you break these rules or pick a fight outside the ring, I'm not obligated to speak up for you. Please keep this in mind before doing something stupid.
Rule 5: Spectators are not allowed to interfere with ongoing matches.
To clarify, interfering means attacking the fighters from outside the ring, in the spectator area. Spectators who fail to follow this rule will be asked to leave the arena and therefore disqualified from the tournament if they have signed up.
Rule 6: Forfeiting a match results in disqualification.
Those who forfeit may stand in the spectator balcony and watch but will not be allowed to participate in matches for the rest of the tournament.
Yes, I know the rules seem a bit strict. But if I didn't make the rules clear and enforce them properly, then the arena's function wouldn't work out and I would have to close it down permanently. All I ask is that you please don't make me regret building this thing. Thank you.
