Well as far as the cave goes, we're actually going to use plugins for that. It's more the structures themselves that we need help with.

I'm also avaliable to work on the Ayakashi tree- I just build it in Creative and it gets ported across to the map, right?

I'll Probably redo the Human village using that map. I like it though I notice some buildings are European Tudor style vs some of the others which are traditional Japanese. it may look a bit odd but I'll give it a shot.

Well wasn't Gensokyo closed off from the outside world during the Meiji reconstruction? If that's the case there would be some cases of European influence, I think.

Am I able to help construct the Palace of earth spirits when ever it gets done?

Actually, we currently have the Palace of Earth Spirits done and we're constructing the Ancient City around it in the creative flatlands. If you'd like to take a look, ask on the server if anyone knows how to get there. I can't remember the coordinates of it at the top of my head. Alternatively, you could try going there yourself by using /warp tempmayonnaise (don't ask xD) and heading directly south.

I belive the major projects we're currently working on are the Ancient City and Human Village which we're currently remaking. There should be appropriate threads for each in this section of the forums.
