I'm only grade 7/8 and I take chemistry :P ( the reason for the slash is due to a different education system in my country...I am secondary one (13) )

uh what country is that? The only advanced class i take is Algebra.

Singapore, the education system is quite different...so can you explain to me what is meant by advanced classes. (my location under the avatar actually includes my country, which is why the words are so mixed up XP)

I think that her 8th grade usually only has English, small math, basic skills etc.
Things like biology, chemistry, physics, geography etc. aren't taught to her until high school.
Here in Holland it's the same (as Cirno), except we don't get algebra in 8th grade but we do get Dutch of course. =P

What he said- advanced class are basically classes that make you do the next grades work in that subject : doing 9th grade math in 8th
