How to warp in single player?

I'm playing the single player map and I read in the banner that you type /warp to get the list of locations. I tried but it doesn't work. They also say you can get to the gap behind you. I approached it but nothing happened. Can somebody help me?

The warp system is server based so it won't work in SP. The gap system in the download map needs updating I believe.

That's a shame, but thanks for your answer
Another question, why is the lighting, textures prettier in the video? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iqwBpMTn_l0 Is it a mod?
Also, why are there characters in the video but none in the game?

The recording was made on a client installed with custom shaders which allows for a much prettier lighting system than vanilla Minecraft. You can install some as well to get the same effect.
The characters in the video are just regular players acting out their characters in the server when the recording was happening.

Also, go post in this topic:

You'll probably get Remi's (Server admin and owner) attention better there.

Oh dear I take it you are new to Minecraft aren't you?

This the link to the mod used for the lighting. It' requires a higher end computer to get a respectable fps but it's still pretty.

Also, the Video was filmed on the server, those are real players with skins of the characters. You can try to find an NPC mod if you really want to replicate the video.

Thanks for the answers! Yeah, I just started playing Minecraft just now for the sake of playing this map.

You could explore the map online on the server as well. All the bells and whistles are there that way.

Unfortunately, I did not pay for the game so I cannot join the server. Maybe I will buy it in the future ($26.95 is a bit to expensive for a poor person like me)
By the way, any tips so I do not get lost? I find it very difficult to navigate through the map. But then again, it is quite fun to explore around and then stumble upon new locations. It's a really enjoyable map to explore
