A lot of people like to RP with their original/favorite character, so wouldn't it be a good idea to have a command which allows you to talk for your character?

Like:
/inchar "meowmeow"

and then it would say something like:
[rp] Cat: meowmeow

Yeah, but it serves the purpose of rp chat, since if people are trying to have a normal conversation while at the same time there is an rp going on, it will be completely disorganized and will make people confused.

/chat rp

but yeah, it's not really possible with the current chat system to optionally change your "chat name" that gets displayed.

Remi has the solution there for you. People typically get irritated or annoyed when others RP in the public/global chatroom, as it tends to clutter things. It is best to take most roleplay into " /chat rp ". From there, you can RP with others who are nearby and in the same chatroom. To perform actions, just type in " /me " and whatever.
