Game troubleshooting (come here for technical issues with Touhou games)
Let's help each other out with Windows and PC-98 game problems.
As a starter, I have Windows 8 and I am able to open the program for Embodiment of Scarlet Devil, but it stays on the loading screen before the main menu, and the menu music plays after a few seconds as if it finished loading. I've tried running it in compatibility mode, I've tried using the compatibility troubleshooter (which simply changes compatibility mode to Windows versions I've already tried) and I don't know what else to do.
To clarify, the versions I did compatibility mode for were Windows 7 (which was my previous computer that EoSD worked on) and Windows XP (which the game was primarily designed for aside from 98 and 2000). So now what?
