Gameplay: In comparison to the previous fighters, Hopeless Masquerade is an aerial fighter with no ground combat. It also does not feature any weather system in the screenshots, nor does it include the deck system from Scarlet Weather Rhapsody. Other notable differences include a timer, the possibility to play a best-of-5, and a new system that is speculated to be based around appeal.
Concept: The game features a different style of two-dimensional sprites compared to earlier versus fighting games within the series. It will also be the first within the official series to have a native resolution of 1280×720. According to Twilight Frontier, the entire game is being built from scratch rather than reusing the engines from the other fighting games.

Ichirin, Byakuren, Shou, Futo, Miko, and what looks like Seiga are all shown in the opening, so it's safe to assume theyll all make it. Seiga should be near the tree by miko and futo.
I'm a proud supporter of Futo Mononobe, and will find any Hopless Masquerade combo you want me to. Except Kokoro. I don't have her unlocked yet.

A few risky assumptions to make would be to include Kyouko, as she is part of the Myouren Temple as a "priest-in-training", and perhaps a cameo from Yoshika - as Seiga's shield, perhaps? - as well. Since it will be based around religion, the Moriya Shrine team might make it into the game as well - at least Sanae, as the shrine maiden.
