As I've seen another topic about rendering Gensokyo, I just rendered the new version of Koumakan and will try to post new pictures
as soon as I can.

Though we have a thread for cinematic/shader-involved images of Gensokyo, I don't see much a problem with this if he's going to supply a lot of them to warrant its own thread.

That looks really cool, hope to see more.

What mods did you use to get such far render distance? That's definitely something like extreme render distance, but afaik shader mods aren't compatible with optifine, unless it's been updated.

Well Remi it's not a minecraft mod but an external render engine, it uses about 2.6GB memory to get all the chunks used for this render, and with the settings
I used it takes about 1h30 with my i7 2600k to render the scene ( because the GPU rendering has not been implemented yet ).
And you could get a render distance almost as nice as this one with optifine at least with the last version on extreme but even with my oni computer
it eat alot of ressources and cpu.
I'll try to do renders as often as I can knowing it takes some time to do one picture =).

All I can say
Is that my life is pretty plain
You don't like my point of view
You think that I'm insane
It's not sane... it's not sane.

Yes muffin, but I'll try to find if there is some plugin for blender to load chunks and then render them with cycle instead of chunky so that I can use my GPU ( HD7950 OC ) to render x1000 time faster =)
