UsefulVillagers allows villagers to do things that are relevant to their occupation. In addition to that, it also has some effects on golems.

Just a neat little plugin that makes torches be placed wherever they land, but only when thrown with Q.

Well, if that's an issue, there's this. It makes stair blocks functional as chairs, to a degree. If you ask me, though, the method by which it detects a "chair" could use lots of work. I have a couch built in the mausoleum, and this addon wouldn't recognize it as a "chair". :/

But here's another alternative, which is more up-to-date.
