(Touhou) Questions to Ponder and Answer

Is there a thread for questions like this yet?
Anyway, this thread would be a good place to ask those questions that seem to stump you. (Touhou questions, of course. It says so in the title.) Not only can you ask questions, but feel free to answer! It's a Touhou Q&A! Well, not really. ...Eh, forget that.
So to start it off, I came up with a few questions like this, but I'll only ask one. If Futo is still lagging in language, if that's a good way to put it, why isn't Miko? Miko should be right around the age of Futo and even though Futo faked death first, it probably wasn't way too many years in between.
So ask away!

I got a question. I've been hearing say that Yukari did in fact make Gensokyo, but in the wiki I used, I didn't find it. So my question is: Did Yukari really and canonically make Gensokyo?

Miko's just smarter maybe? It's not really important, so it wasn't ever explained.

Yukari did NOT create Gensokyo. The original barrier was created by humans from the Hakurei Shrine. Youkai later reinforced the barrier.
