It's not really difficult to get in the lottery assuming you follow the directions. I got in on my second try and they do lotteries every day. Average number of tries to get in is 2 to 3 tries.

Please. We're a Touhou community. Nothing can even come close to the mountains of porn Touhou has. Also comparitively there's barely any :<
As for the game, literally the most addicting thing I have ever played. The mangas and whatnot that come with it don't help the addiction either. Also all the videos and songs. So many A-tier Touhou music circles have been doing KanColle lately, it's ridiculous.

Okay, did that last video actually show any scenes from the Battle off Samar? Battle of Midway is pretty clear, and so is Operation Ten-Go, but Samar's not as well known (And I can't tell ship character from ship character), although you could count Samar as being part of the Battle of Layte Gulf.
What makes the Battle off Samar interesting is that the battle was fought between the IJN Center Fleet against USN "Taffy 3" and was a complete mismatch. The IJN Center Fleet was basically the main Japanese combat fleet of the battle, and among the ships it has is the Yamato. Taffy 3 was a group of destroyers and escort carriers that's protecting a landing force. To give a little perspective, the displacement of the Yamato alone actually outweighs all of Taffy 3's ships combined (Yamato's 64000-70000 tonnes to Taffy 3's combined ~61000 tonnes).
