You see, in the Halo universe, they use a Slipspace Drive to travel faster than light. What happens is that it creates a portal out of many, many small black holes, then creates a stable portal. This allows them to travel in the 5th, 6th, and 7th dimension, instead of the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th dimension. What this allows them to do is drastically decrease the amount of time it takes for ships to travel from one point in the galaxy, to another. Despite how advanced this technology is, it's not entirely safe, or even stable. Sometimes, while in Slipspace, the other dimensions, people sometimes disappear out of thin air, sometimes machinery as well. Of course, energy shielding can protect against this. Usually, things go smoothly and there are no incidnets, but every once in a while, the Slipspace Drive can malfunction and create time bubbles, or even portals to other timelines, just like with Nicole-458, or with the AI Melissa, when she was transported back to the year 2004. You see, there's something in Halo called a Slipspace Anomaly, where the Slipspace Drive goes completely haywire and sends people to other timelines. This is what happened to John and Cortana.


As for him being the one from the games, yes and no. He's the same one from the Halo games, only with the actual canonical abilities of a SPARTAN-II, how it really should have been, if not for the game needing to be balanced so that it wouldn't be too easy. :p

Not only that, this John is from what would be Halo 5. Basically, I made up some of his backstory to bring him some resolution in his universe, so that he wouldn't be a psychological wreck when he was introduced into this RP.

Though you could work around things with like space colonies or anything else of the like.

If you bring in Otori, I have a good starting planet that me and S1 have been planning on making. I'll give you a hint. It will be considered the Sister (or brother) planet to Nevaaras. Nevaaras is blaring hot, and this planet me and S1 are planning is going to be ice cold. There will be a colony owned by the Government that owns the Nevaaras colony, and run by Miranda's younger brother Dave (who will be a mostly direct rip of my character Dave from Infinite Project. Just with an edited backstory.) The colony will be somewhat abandoned (only a dozen people left living in the colony.) With 1 person living mostly solitary on a small watch tower a bit of a ways away from the colony (about a mile away.) This person that lives in this Watchtower is a marksman, and is well... Andrew from Infinite Project (which has a different appearance, and personality from Andrew from TSU.) This Andrew will also hate Dave. Otori if you bring him in can start there when the planet is made (if you can hold off for a bit longer.)

Whatever the person he turns into has on them at the time of "recording"

Personality:
Cryptic and cold in his true form
But mimics the personalities of whoever he turns into...although never perfect.

History:
He fought alongside Aion during the Race for the Shards of Starlight. One of the last beings of the original Venturian Galaxy that has his memory somewhat intact.
He was presumed dead when he sacrificed himself to protect Aion.
