Spoiler
NPC Character of Choice: Proto Man/Blues
Game of Origin: Mega Man series. (Mega Man 3 specifically.)
Power: Proto Man as a prototype Robot Master (if not the true first) is stronger than a normal human by a significant amount. He's capable of running at speeds that rival an olympic athele rather easily, can jump far higher than a normal human (even from a standstill), and take a bit more punishment as well as survive in areas with normally extreme heat or cold without discomfort. Proto Man is powered by currently, a miniature Nuclear power core which makes his power output with his weaponry rather high for a robot master. However that does come at a major downside. Despite this downside his power output with his weaponry can rival X, if not even surpass X who is essentially a far stronger version of the original Mega Man.
Proto Man much like Mega Man does also possess the Variable Weapon System. A system built into their arm cannons and systems themselves that allow them to copy the weaponry of other robots and machines as long as they have a compatible weapon chip or data. This can leave him with a wide variety of weaponry to choose from if he meets the proper prerequisites
Weapons: Proto Man can have a wide variety of weaponry if the circumstances are met. However currently he only has two.
The Proto Buster. A powerful Arm Cannon that fires blasts of plasma much like Mega Man which the intensity can be altered by how long he charges.
Uncharged the shot is capable of piercing kevlar. Though he can fire weaker shots if he lowers his power output enough for a shot that feels like getting punched really hard.
Fully charged it can pierce a hole through a military tank
. However due to being a proto type there are bugs with his systems. He has a much higher limit of his power output. Meaning he can charge up his Proto Buster for a lot longer than Mega Man and the power can theoretically keep increasing to the point where his own power output can be FATAL to himself. Thankfully he isn't often pushed to that point often. So he usually has no reason to.
He is also in possession of the Proto Shield. A shield made out of an odd and unknown metal that Wily had created at some point when he first found a damaged and in-need of repairs Proto Man. The shield is designed to make up for Proto Man's low stamina as it is capable of taking on many different kinds of attacks. It can withstand shots of molten magma and super-heated plasma without any scratches. It can take a small armor piercing high explosive projectile head on and have no whole (maybe a small dent), but it is pretty much indesctructible by current known means. That doesn't mean it's perfect. It can still somewhat easily be knocked out of his hands and can only protect him from attacks that he blocks. Unless the attack is more of an AOE that he can't block. Like say an explosion at his feet. Hell if he even blocks and explosive missile with his shield. His shield will survive, but the explosion from the missile will still damage him.
Weaknesses:
Proto Man is a proto type that has a major fault in his systems. His Nuclear Reactor for a power core is unstable. There is a fault in it that affects his entire body. He's far more vulnerable to damage than Mega Man, being unable to take all too much punishment, and due to the fact that he doesn't have a limiter on his Proto Buster's power output, it can actually be really easily for him to accidentally overload his systems with energy thus leaving his whole body locked up or worse. This is a fault in his systems that is very dangerous to his own health. No one knows how long he has before he finally shuts down and dies for good, but he still will keep fighting.
Due to his personality and his free will for a Robot Master he fears change, mainly extreme change. Even if it's something like fixing his reactor. For he fears that if his reactor would be fixed, the change would be so drastic that he wouldn't even be himself anymore. As such he refuses to be fixed anymore unless it's by his hands.
Also despite his shield being practically indestructible, that doesn't mean it's perfect. Without it Proto Man is at a severe disadvantage.
Now a weakness to Proto Man. Something the original Mega Man also inherits. With the Variable Weapon System. Proto Man can only have a total of 8 weapons at once. Not because it's impossible to hold more, but the amount of weapon data he has to keep in his systems can corrupt his AI. Mega Man has been shown to get more and more... savage in combat with each Copy Weapon he gets from Robot Masters. Proto Man is the same. Proto Man can get to the point where he loses himself in battle if he has too much weapons. 8 is the perfect amount to prevent him from completely losing it in combat. He will get a bit more harsh but he won't be completely savage. If he attempts to collect more than 8 weapons and successfully manages to. His systems would be at severe risk of severe meltdown and loss of sanity.
Appearance:
Spoiler
He stands at 5ft 6 tall.
Personality:
Proto Man is calm, cool, and collected in any situation and greatly independent compared to other Robot Masters. To the point where he is completely able to freely make his own decisions and choices. Something that other Robot Master's are incapable of.
They can feel and think, but by law they are programmed to also follow orders. Proto Man isn't like that. He's capable of breaking that law freely and he does so of his own accord. In a sense he's more human than most other robots as he isn't bound by the laws of robotics in the sense that. He is capable of disobeying his human creators commands.
Deep down Proto Man is a free spirit and strong sense of self. He'd rather be on his own and work on his own. He does not like following groups or belief aside from his own. That does not stop him from also doing his best to help when needed. He has even helped teach Mega Man, his younger brother many different tips and tricks. He has helped his younger robotic brother on more than one occasion as well. To the point where he had saved Mega Man's life just in the nick of time.
Proto Man also has a fear of change. Mainly drastic change of who he or someone else is. He believes that it's better to be oneself and not something that others want you to be. This is the main reason why he refuses to have his core and systems repaired. As he fears that it will no longer let him be himself. Something he dreads. He'd rather continue fighting and living his life until his body completely shuts down. Whether he is alone or with a friend when it happens does not matter to him.
This does not mean he isn't thankful if one manages to find and repair him (somewhat) if he is for some reason collapsed. He's a guy that WILL return the favor and help whoever saved him at least once.
Morality:
Chaotic Good.
He is a bit of a rebel and a free spirit. He believes that doing good is the right thing, but he believes that things like order, discipline, and even the law at times can get in the way of doing good. As sometimes you have to break a law or two in order to do what's right. However that does not mean he breaks laws all the time. No he does do his work as an actual official bounty hunter in the Real World, but he always works within the law. He's more than willing to break the law if it means he has to do what is truly right.
Biography:
Proto Man was originally intended to become the first humanoid robot capable of independent thought and reasoning.
As a prototype robot, Proto Man's design was not complete. Although he greatly exceeded Dr. Light's expectations on several levels, it was later discovered that Proto Man's energy core had a critical problem that would eventually make him stop functioning. Dr. Light planned to repair him. However, since he was created too independent, Proto Man feared the modification would change his character. Proto Man refused to have Dr. Light meddle with his systems and fled to protect his sense of identity.
Dr. Light had presumed Proto Man to have died and regrettably gave up on him. Learning from his mistakes, he perfected the energy core and created sibling units Rock and Roll. Proto Man's design became the basis of the Sniper Joe series of robots.
Proto Man then wandered the world alone. Before his energy reactor was completely depleted, the scientist Dr. Wily found him collapsed and dying. Dr. Wily managed to temporarily repair Proto Man by altering his power reactor from a solar to a nuclear one, as well as making other modifications, turning him into a combat robot. He also gave Proto Man the Proto Shield to compensate for his body's weakness, and in an attempt to hide his identity from Dr. Light, he gave him his helmet and his now-trademark visor. Working on Proto Man's systems gave Wily greater knowledge in creating robots at the same level as Dr. Light, helping his plans for world domination along.
ndebted to Dr. Wily, Proto Man served him until his encounters with Mega Man in Mega Man 3 made him realize his true nature. Proto Man saved Mega Man in the end of Mega Man 3, and officially turned against Wily in Mega Man 4, when he rescued Kalinka Cossack who was and is the daughter of Dr. Cossack. However, he still refused help from Dr. Light, still holding onto his feelings. Mega Man doesn't know that Proto Man is his brother.
Once he got into the real world he continued wandering the globe on his own until his reactor started to mess up again and left him in a comatose like state for a while. By the time he woke up his core stabilized after some 'off time' and he woke up in Paris, France. Since then he had been hiding in the streets, wandering around and helping those in the city. Unfortunately a few times he had came across a certain inspector that has both been on his tail, but oddly... keeping her distance. Seeing how much of a hard worker she is and how determined she is with her job, Proto Man has been helping a bit with capturing some criminals and delivering them tied up right outside her door or at the police office for her to take credit.
Traumas:
Proto Man's biggest Trauma was when he first woke up and was around. He was rather happy but felt... independent. When he heard of his energy core problem and Dr. Light's plans to fix it. He had grown to fear that it would change him permanently. Even when Wily fixed him (albeit temporarily) he still feared to get his body repaired permanently, as he is still afraid that any more changes to his body would make him truly not himself anymore.
