10/29/2014, 06:02 PM #12040 Since it seems some people are writing things, I might as well say that i've been writing a little something too. A prequel story for one of the characters i'm introducing to ATWAG once we get that train chugging again.
The character in question is Magolor, from Kirby: Return to Dreamland. Here's a little passage from the beginning of it.
It was hard to think for Magolor. It felt like every molecule of his body was screaming at him, and more so, he wanted to die.
The sound of ringing were the first clear sounds to come into his mind. His ears rung for a while. What had happened? The last thing hed remembered was that horrible moment with the Master Crown, fused to his head, seeping into his thoughts, making him fight when he didnt want to any more. He regretted everything at that moment. The trickery, the deception of Kirby and his friends.
Think, though it was hard, he had to think. Where was he, first of all? His vision began to clear. He was somewhere dark, gloomy. He heard the dripping of water. The ground felt cool, damp, and quite firm. Must be some kind of brick. He needed to get up, assert his bearings. He felt himself getting lighter. Good, his flying abilities werent hindered.
Magolor got himself off the ground, wiping grime from his face and clothes. He seemed to be in some dark alley of sorts, a thick, wafting smell of something burning piercing into his senses. He floated out of the alley a little, his yellow, glowing eyes peering around at this alien environment of concrete and metal. Streets lined long stretches of concrete. Magolor knew of industrialization from Halcandria, but of this scale? Halcandrias industrial district was small and compact, but this looked huge, large towers of metal spiraling up into the distance.
Magolor merely blinked. It was quite astonishing. Then another sound entered his brain. Screams. The noise originated from where he was looking, as a flood of tall, alien creatures poured down the road, running quite fast. From what? He had a sinking feeling that he would soon get the answer. But what could he do? He was small. Powerless. Wait. The Master Crown. It was fused to his head. Maybe he still had its power. He tried to remember, mimicking the hand motions his body was forced to do before. Energy swirled between both hands, and if he had a visible mouth, he wouldve been smiling.
Other matters interrupted those thoughts, however.
I've also been writing other short little things. Mainly about Touhou characters and the like.

Sometimes when you're driving down a road, a bug hits your windshield. It's ugly and unpleasant, but you just activate the wipers / cleaning fluid and it's gone in a few seconds. It's just part of driving down the road. You don't dwell on it, because that'd be silly. Bugs aren't worth the time.
You just discard their guts and keep on driving.
