Consider how far away the two locations are. One might think they're going to meet at the end of the arc to take down Project Candice together.

Lolno, it'll be like people in Nevada is Lilith and people in Tokyo is Roland in Borderlands 2.

Roland, in Borderlands 2, is the leader of a resistance against a deranged but still lovable company owner Handsome Jack who has the planet Pandora locked up. To get help for you, the Vault Hunter, to fulfill his goal of liberating Pandora from Handsome Jack, you have to go out and recruit Lilith, a former Vault Hunter and a friend of Roland who took up the hobby of posing as a god of fire for a nearby bandit camp.

This storyline ^ is accomplished pretty early in the game, so I made a reference to that thinking you knew about Borderlands 2. Guess I was wrong if I had to explain it like this.
