Eientei - Bamboo Forest of the Lost - Gensokyo
John nodded at Annie's reassuring words and quietly thought about who he should bring. There was a lot of people he could bring, but he didn't really know what roles they would need for the upcoming battle. For all he knew, he could need people that were capable of doing lots of damage at once, or people that were stealthy. Of course, John might not have known the conditions of the battles, but perhaps Annie did.
"Well, seeing how I need to grab four people, I might need some advice. How are these battles usually like?", John asked in a slightly curious tone.
Mess Hall - Prometheus Labs - London | Dawn
After a few minutes of walking, the SPARTAN, Cole, and Flandre arrived at the mess hall. The mess hall looked the same, except that now there was Christmas trees decorating the tables, small wreaths decorating the doors, Christmas lights lined along some of the machines, and in the corner of the mess hall was a large suit of green MJOLNIR armor with lights wrapped around it like a large, metal Christmas tree. Some of the SPARTANS were drinking eggnog and hot coca with their meals and had candy canes with their meal, as a treat.
It was a little hard to pinpoint where Alice was, but if one looked for the SPARTAN with crimson armor, they would find her pretty easily.

Meanwhile, Flandre took the liberty to wander around the mess hall speaking to as many of the SPARTANs as she could. She felt so great that she just wanted to tell everyone about it and talk to as many people as she could. Of course, some of her questions seemed intrusive while others were rather out of the blue. But that was how Flandre liked to talk to people. You can never truly expect what Flandre was going to say next.

From what Cole could see, the female SPARTAN had raven black hair and eyes that were so blue that it looked almost unnatural. Despite the intimidating looking armor, the female SPARTAN actually looked fairly normal and friendly.
"Oh, hello Cole.", Alice said to Cole in a relaxed tone of voice.

Sometimes when you're driving down a road, a bug hits your windshield. It's ugly and unpleasant, but you just activate the wipers / cleaning fluid and it's gone in a few seconds. It's just part of driving down the road. You don't dwell on it, because that'd be silly. Bugs aren't worth the time.
You just discard their guts and keep on driving.

She sighed and looked at John. "It's better if you see a battle by yourself... the Institute of War's main lobby shows live battles, so you can get the hang of it there."

"Okay. I'll be sure to observe the battles once we get there.", John said as he opened up a Corridor of Darkness.
"I'll be back. I'm going to grab some people to help us, and talk to Satori.", John added.
After speaking, John entered into the Corridor of Darkness and disappeared.
Near Chireiden - Underground City - Old Hell - Gensokyo | Dusk
All of a sudden, a Corridor of Darkness opened up at the front door of Chireiden and John stepped out. John wa now in Old Hell, more specifically The Underground City, the home of the Oni. In the city behind him, John could heer the hustle and bustle of the local Oni as they walked the streets, drank at one of the many bars, shouted, and partied. No matter what time it was, it always seemed as if there was something going on in the busier parts of the city. Such chaos and merrymaking did not particularly suit John, but he didn't really pay any mind to it. Besides, it was not like he was there to visit the city, he was here for Satori's help.
After John approached the door, he grabbed the iron knocker of the door and smacked it against its striking piece.
*KNOCK* *KNOCK* *KNOCK*
Now all that was left to do was wait for someone to answer. In the meantime, John opened up an internet browser on his HUD and began to research the game Annie came from League of Legends. If John wanted to be competent on the battlefield, then he would need to learn about the game as soon as possible.

Takozu was surprised to see the chameleons staring at both The Higher Power and her. She did not really know what they wanted, and she didn't really care. All she wanted was to leave and finish her journey.
"Well, time to go.", Takoizu said as she pressed the button on the elevator and readied herself for a possible fight.

Not long after John knocked on the large gate of Chireiden, the door swung open, revealing a red-haired catgirl wearing a simple gray long-sleeve, olive green shorts, and a black eyepatch: Rin Kaenbyou, or Orin as her close friends and associates called her.
"Ah it's just you." Rin said welcomingly. "Come on in. Who are you here for?"
