When Marcus assured her that she will get food, and that some food is on the way Taokaka calmed down almost immediately. How fast she changes between moods is quite astonishing, first being calm, then sad, before becoming angered, and calm again.

Taokaka looked at Marcus after he patted her on the head.


"Taokaka just really hungry right neoow! She can't help it if she gets angry if she's hungry!" She said as she sat down on the ground on all fours, much like a cat. As she did she began to lick her paw sleeves as though they were her actual paws, it was almost like she was grooming herself.

John was fine with Nassus staying in Gensokyo until the deal was finished, but he still thought that one thing should be changed.

"Actually, would it be alright if Annie stays in the Human Village? It's just that I promised to keep her safe, and I don't want to break her trust. It's not a matter of me not trusting you, it's just that I think she might not feel comfortable or safe here, considering all the things that have happened to her.", John politely said to Vessaria.

Daniel wasn't really surprised to hear that The Neo-Yakuza had many failures when they tried to create superhumans. After all, it took a very long time before the SPARTTAN-IIs were created, and even then, that project was almost a failure, due to the success rates of the program. When Volgin had mentioned that they had created a successful superhuman, Daniel stopped looking at the ceiling and turned his head towards Volgin.

"Sure, as long as she reports to the matches every now and , it'll be fine." Vessaria shrugged like it was no big deal. "Then again... we wouldn't have a portal that easily connects your world and our world, and we can't have Nasus stay with you all the time since he has his other duties..."

John thought that it was fairly reasonable that Annie would at least not have to participate full-time in these matches, but he knew that he couldn't speak for her. In the end, this was not his decision to make. He would have to speak with Annie before coming to a full agreement with Vessaria.

"I'm going to have to talk with Annie about it, but I'll see what can be done. I'll be able to come up with a plan about the portal after talking with her.", John said to Vessaria.

Jack looked into his memories. He couldn't exactly 'recall' as they weren't his memories, but... He could tell what happened.

"... I think... I can see it..."

Jack lowered his defenses. "Well... My name is Jack Eichem Inozuka. Jack from a character my father liked, also known as Naked Snake or Big Boss. Inozuka, of course, from my father's last name. Though I question where 'Eichem' came from. I heard it was a memento of someone... A memorial... Do you know?"

Glaive continued to stand near Jack's unconscious body, almost like he was waiting for something. Though while he stood there he looked down at the blue cubes in his hands.

"Hmm... looks like things have gone quite smoothly... Just as planned... Now I wonder when he will show himself to them... I can already feel that his presence is looming around them, peering into the empty void that is Henir's Time and Space. Either way that jackal, and that man will be in for a treat once he shows himself to them..." Glaive said to himself without caring about the possibility that Renamon had heard him. He then turned away from Renamon as he clenched the blue cubes in his hands.

"Something is approaching..." He said as down the hall Kirby can be seen running towards Glaive and Renamon...

Meanwhile in Henir's Time and Space...

As the conversation between Jack, and the jackal went on the ever growing feeling of being watched continued to persist as whatever was causing it felt like it was growing... closer to the two. In the distance deeper within the void the many large blue cubes seemed to dissipate, like they were being stripped away piece by piece while the blue corona around the black star in the distance seemed to grow dimmer. The cube Jack and Nera were standing on continued to glow as everything around them began to grow darker...

"Gah... can't anyone learn to give a man some peace and quiet around here?..." Echoed a voice as nearby a white throne appeared on one of the corners of the platform Jack and Nera were standing on. Sitting upon this throne was what looked to be an old man with messy white hair, stone grey skin with blue lines around his face, hands, and feet. While he wore a similar robe to the one that Glaive was wearing. The only difference though was he had one large collar of what looked to be made out of bronze, with an equally large chain attached to it. The white of this man's eyes were replaced with a dark pink, and his pupils and irises were just one single color... the same glowing blue as before. The man appeared to be wielding a keyblade of sort in his hands. He had an... odd aura around him that seemed to be mysterious, like it was constantly changing...

The man was Luto... Elder Guardian of Space and Time

"You can speak to her, yes, but do not take her away. For now, the Institute must keep Annie here. My opponents in politics will use it against me if I let an accused rogue go." Vessaria grumbled about her position as she led John and the group to the opposite end of the hallway. "I swear on my rank and position that no harm will befall you. Alistar the Minotaur has volunteered to guard her if anyone tries to attack her."
