Proto Man simply gave a small nod and spoke once more
"Then I guess I'll see you soon Inspector." Proto Man respond quietly as he gave a two-fingered salute before he jumped off the building and into the alley way below before running off towards the Ice Factory. Leaving Carmelita behind, as he did his scarf flowed behind him. The red and grey robot left the scene once again... though he did give a location of where he'll be.

It didn´t take long for Carmelita to reach her home, for a city like Paris, there were many ways to get around it, even better for her way of moving, which was of jumping on the roofs. The inspector gazed at the slowly closer police headquarters and sighed (It is odd, working for years and going on the field, but now I got a bigger priority.) she thought with a smile. Who would have thought that a workaholic like Carmelita would suddenly come to the chief´s office for fewer hours (His face of astonishment was perfect for a photograph.)
The inspector was now looking at the building, but then headed further on the buildings, just a couple of blocks until she reached her home. The building was a two story house with a small garden on the front, while it looked.. rustic, it had a homely feeling. The bluenette felt good while opening the door "I´m Home." she called to the other inhabitant of the house.

Efina was sitting on the couch in front of the coffee table and the television. A generic kid's show was playing on the screen. There were several hand drawn images on the table, but they weren't what you would expect a child to draw. She had just gotten back from doing her own little investigation. The pictures she had drawn were her notes from what she had learned. She couldnt' read or write very well yet so drawing them was the next best thing to do. There were a couple of images of robots but other than that, not much else was useful.
The girl was eating of many little cookies she had gotten from a pack. She seemed to be more distracted by the kid's show than any type of work and from the looks of the pack, she had already had more cookies than any little girl should have at one time. When the blue haired fox woman entered the door, she immidatly caught her attention. "MAMA!" she said while jumping to her feet and running over to hug the fox woman with her tiny little arms. "Welcome back mama!"

The Inspector gladly hugged the little girl "Hey there little Efi, how are you doing?" she greeted the young one. It had been some months since she found herself with an egg at her home office, which later became a small girl, much to the shocked reaction of the Fox since mammals generally didn´t come from eggs. At first it she acted to help Efina into a foster program, but the little one quickly got attached to her. Carmelita was between the sword and the wall since the girl even called her mama, hitting her in her core. In the end, Carmelita decided to take care of the little one.
The fox female took some time to adapt to the curiosities that came with Efina, she didn´t get nutrients like other kids, she got it from lies in the form of little monsters that appeared when the girl managed to find out a lier, something that Carmelita took as an advantage with the police force. The law officer managed to get the girl her lie monsters, but only from small cases like robbery and disputes, nothing close to murder or traumatizing situations, Efina was still a kid for creator´s sake.
"Looks like you have been eating some cookies, how many have you got?" Carm asked her daughter with a smile while cleaning her cheeks from the crumbs of the sugary treats.

Little Efi nuzzled her mother's soft fur before giving her a warm smile. She liked being able to go out on her own and have fun, but she liked being wih her mama even more. When the fox asked about the cookies and how she was doing, she gave an innocent look and tapped the tips of her fingers together sheepishly. "I wold tell you but... I can't count higher than twenty yet so I have no idea. OH! but I drew some pictures for you. I found out what some of the big mean robots you told me about looked like. But I didn't' find out anything else/ Sorry mama."

Carmelita chuckled at Efi´s answer, while the little one had impressive learning skills and managed to find lies even on the most neutral people, she still had the innocence of a child "It is fine Efi, whatever you found is good, that is what matters." That is what the Inspector wanted for her daughter to understand, that no matter if it was something small or big, giving your best is what always was worth the work, something that the supposed "trained" officers lacked ("Those boot lickers are just a bunch of slackers, but at least they know when to act")
"And how about your hunger? Want some supper from the police building?" Montoya asked the girl as she took Efi on her arms and headed to the TV room, looking at the drawings of the robot masters.

Meanwhile on the other side of the city...
It didn't take long for Proto Man to get close to his destination. As he roamed alone a bit in the deeper parts of the city outskirts. Mainly the area closer towards where the factories and other buildings for various purposes would be located. The temperature was already beginning to drop as indicated by his scanner, but that was bound to happen. It was already winter and it was just a ever so slight drop in temperature... though it was an indicator of the nearby Ice factory where Ice Man works in freezing frozen goods to be shipped out to grocery stores. Everything was quiet except for the occasional civilian who passed by him without paying much heed. Most of the people in the area were workers of some sort. Other than that things were... definitely more quiet for this time of year, even in this area. Except for maybe a broken window or two on the Ice Factory that Proto Man took notice of as he approached the factory.
As he approached the factory he looks up at the two broken windows before looking on the ground.... and looking back up. On the ground there was some broken glass underneath one of the windows... obviously someone had used the window to get out... or there was just a bit of an accident on the inside of the factory. The pile of glass wasn't large though, just enough for one of the two windows. So either someone was lazy in cleaning up this mess outside... or a window was obviously used as an entryway. No matter the case, Proto Man has some possible evidence... Now one problem. Who or what decided to break in through a window so high off the ground if this was sign of a break-in?

Efi held on to her mother, wrapping her arms around her neck and resting her little head on her shoulder. On the desk was a picture of a tiny green robot with a egg shaped body. The drawing wasn't very well done but it did give a basic description of what one of the robots supposedly looked like. Of cores there was always the possibility that this wasn't true since they were only rumors at the time. The other picture was just a bad drawing of Protoman who for some reason had a grumpy face drawn on him.
The little dragon girl nodded in responce to the fox's question before asking. "Do you need help with another.. enter-ibay-shon? Can you give me a piggy back ride over there?"

The fox took the picture and examined it ("This looks like one of the robot masters.. I´ll have to speak with Proto Man about it.") she then chuckled at the drawing of a grumpy Proto Man "Seems you have caught the sight of my friend, he isn´t that of a grumpy, but don´t tell him, he might make a bad face." she told the girl with a calm tone, but that got on a mischievous one at the end. The Inspector then nodded "Yeah Efi, I got the call that there is a bad guy saying bad things, but the police and mama know he is lying, we just need to have something to show that"
Carmelita took the dragon girl outside, having the girl on her shoulders, it felt odd and good for having a kid, and the Inspector was enjoying every moment of it, yet she turned serious again "Efina" she used the girl´s full name to get her daughter´s attention "I want to know if you don´t like this or get uncomfortable in mama´s workplace, some of the people we see there are really bad and we can get liars somewhere else if you want to". While Efina´s ability to show lies was a great asset, Carmelita used that ability only to help with her hunger, exploiting the dragon girl would be the last thing she would do.

The welcoming cent of freshly baked bread, cheese and other wonderful delicacies only found in France was enough to make anyone's mouth water. Little Efi was no exception as she was clearly getting hungry from all the yummy cents in the air.
"It doesn't bother me mama. If something bad happens you'll protect me right? i'm not afraid as long as you're with me."
