    The Demon Slayers Club (OOC)

Hello everyone. This is a project that I have been working on for a good 2 Weeks. It's not a super big or fancy RP idea like Infinite Project, TSU, or ATWAG. It's probably a little cliche and inspired by the likes of Bad Omen (an old RP here on the forums), which in of itself was inspired by anime/manga. Though that doesn't mean this is a recently new RP Idea of mine, since the name comes from a somewhat similar (and worse) RP I made a long time ago on another forums. I had taken the name and concept of that idea, and used inspiration from Bad Omen (and help from Wriggle and Koishi Komeiji.) Well here it is:

    Backstory:

    Spoiler:

In another reality lies a barren world, a world of Demons.

Cold, near lifeless, and ruled by a tyrannical lord, the world was often in a perpetual state of conflict. Not true war, the lord would never allow such. The fighting was often wild, raucous, and excessively violent. This was merely the way of things, conflict in all forms integral to their being.

And while the lord allowed such fighting, they still heeded his orders, whether from he directly, or his numerous children, his advisors, his Deadly Sins. However, despite the eternal conflict amusing him, he found himself wanting… more. A desire for more conflict, more lives to play with, more land to conquer, as he had once done so very long ago.

He consulted his Sins and asked for each to look into solutions. Such a goal resonated greatly with many of them, for they knew such a thing could easily feed their own desires as much as their father’s. Thus, in a rare instance of cooperation, the Sins researched, toiled, and pried. And eventually, they found a solution. A window. One which could allow them to view other worlds.

The lord was pleased with such a creation, and immediately set to searching the multitude of realities, looking for the perfect place to start. Several candidates were eventually found by the other Sins. The lord chose a blue ball known as Earth.

Humanity interested and amused him in equal measure. They seemed to lack the magic inherent to their kind. They seemed so uniform, so helpless, yet they created things to overcome their weaknesses. Such ingenuity reminded them of themselves, in a way. Such a smaller scale, but there was definitely room for such beings as a slave race. Yet he also saw their indulgence and disgust of sin in equal measure. Such a sight made the king laugh for the first time in centuries and solidified his want for these pink, fleshy primates.

And with a word and a snap of his fingers, he ripped asunder the veil between their realities, and within moments, their armies surged onto Earth on every continent, swarming everywhere at once. The initial attack tore apart civilian and military alike. Lesser demons could fall to conventional means, but anything higher merely laughed at such attempts.

The subjugation of humanity was complete within naught but a couple dozen hours.

Humans were forced into slave labor, camps and mines that broke both body and soul as they worked to appease their new overlords. The mere thought of resistance was tantamount to death.

And yet, deep within a mine, one day, somebody snapped. It was common knowledge to the Demons that these humans were just as fragile in mind as they were in body. The quartermaster usually disposed of them in short order, their higher status leaving any kind of retaliation useless.

They appeared, their cat o’ nine tails lashing out. But this merely made the man angrier, as even as the numerous blades of the whip tore open his skin, they threw a punch. A surge of light flashed, and the demon’s face was crushed in a single blow.

Other miners stopped working for once, looking to the one who had struck a quartermaster dead. His arms still glowed, as a set of gauntlets finished forming into place. The first Figment had been awakened, and it changed everything.

Other instances of similar feats occurred. People forming weaponry that could kill higher demons, entire sections of mine being freed. Resistance forming.

And as word of such things reached the ears of the lord, he did not scowl, or rage. No, he smiled. Perhaps these humans were a far more interesting opponent than he believed they were. He quelled some rebellion, of course, but he left some alone. He wanted to see the potential of them, to see what they could truly do.

And the true nature of them became revealed in time. Figments grew in increasing numbers, and soon, the lord of demonkind had the conflict he truly desired from this venture.

Those who wielded Figments were known as Slayers to both human and demon alike. Countless followed in their wake as they exhibited far more power than an average human. War soon followed, as Figment users went from dozens to hundreds to thousands strong, with millions more normal humans behind them.

One by one, the lord’s Sins fell, the humans taking more and more ground. After the Sins fell, the humans reconquering their lands in near entirety, the lord finally took the field.

Hundreds of Slayers died from a single blow from his might. Yet even as he ripped through their ranks, wounds piled onto him. Many of his hundred arms fell apart, one by one. And yet all the while, he laughed. This is what he truly wanted. A challenge, something he had not had for a near eternity. Even as their thrashing limbs bled oceans of lifeblood, he was satisfied.

The lord’s life was ended on that day. Of the Slayers, who had reached ten thousand strong at the time, their numbers were cut to double digits. Yet it was done. The lord of demons had been slain by human hands, and the Sins and remaining demons banished back to their world, their connection that was forged by the lord snapped with his end.

Millennia have passed since these times. Talk of demons relegated to myths, fairy tales and boogeymen for the general populace, even the very idea of Figments lost and forgotten.

But underneath the veneer of normalcy now in place, the Slayers still exist. Orders, Secret Societies, and secretive branches of many governments still carry true Slayers, wielders of Figments. Portals still open from that barren world, emissaries and scouts sent by the still living Sins. Demons have been seeping back into the world, and their numbers are growing. And thus, these groups are now searching, scouring the globe for new recruits, new candidates for harnessing Figments.

The city of Ortus is the most active hotspot for demonic incursion in recent years. Ortus is one of the oldest cities in the world, moving between countless cultures and societies over the years. And unbeknownst to many, it is built atop the very site where the war ended, where demonkind's leader fell.

The veil between worlds is thinner here, a fact exploited by the demons. In short, it is the current frontline, and where much of demonkind's attention is currently focused on.

The veneer of normalcy is well kept, as many Slayer groups operate from here. But the demons too work in secret, amassing followers and cults.

And in time, war will come, and humanity must be prepared for it.

    Concepts:

Demons: Demons are creatures sourced from another reality, countless in shape, size, and intelligence. Demons come in four categories: Lesser, Average, Higher, and Lords

    Spoiler:

Lesser Demons: Primarily animalistic, the equivalent of attack dogs in terms of usage, However, do not think “lesser” means they aren’t a threat. A lesser demon could easily still rip apart steel as easily as a sharpened axe cuts wood. While they are universally unintelligent, they are the most highly varied in terms of form, ranging the entire gamut, from something that almost resembles an earthborn animal to masses of carnivorous sludge. They are the most unpredictable in terms of abilities, as despite the title, Lesser demons can contend with those higher up on the food chain, depending on the demon in question. Most notable about them is that Lesser demons are able to be killed utilizing conventional weaponry.

Average: are one step up. They are at least sentient, if not sapient, but otherwise are not too different in terms of power than a Lesser, the main difference being their capability to use magic outside of simple biological weaponry. Like Lessers, they can still be killed via conventional weaponry, but are significantly more resistant to it, making it mostly impractical to engage in such ways without overwhelming firepower.

Higher Demons: are well respected and feared. Highly intelligent and cunning, Higher Demons usually are those who lead incursions onto Earth, and are the equivalent of mankind’s own commanders and generals. Extremely dangerous, even to Figment users, most Higher Demons are masters of magic, capable of levelling the likes of an entire building with little effort. It is rare that they take the battlefield, but multiple Slayers are highly recommended. Higher Demons are near impervious to conventional means, as they regenerate far too quickly to be killed.

Lords: are, as the title implies, the current leaders of the demons. These include the likes of the Seven Sins along with legendary demons even older than they, who fought alongside the now deceased king during his initial conquest of their world. Supremely powerful, as a single Sin could easily contend with a small army and deal with Figment wielders with little effort without high coordination between them. Conventional weaponry barely even scratches them, and nothing less than a Figment can do real damage.

Such an opponent should not be taken lightly by anyone.

Figments: Figments are an extension of a Slayer’s own soul made physical, and each takes a shape of an object unique to the wielder. Whether it be something conventional like a sword and shield, or something seemingly obtuse, like a weaponized umbrella or a mop that extends into a whip, their forms are as endless and unique as the demons themselves.

Along with these weapons, Figment wielders unlock some form of new ability unique to each individual. This could be anything from super-speed, to more advanced powers such as matter manipulation. Although these powers tend to be relatively weak and limited at first, but as a Figment Wielder grows stronger, so do their abilities

Each possesses an active and an inactive state, the inactive state often being something small enough to fit in the palm of the hand, such a small jewel, a marble, even something as simple as a rock. Like the active state, this varies from person to person.

Theoretically, anyone can be a Figment wielder, but the process of awakening such a thing is difficult naturally, usually only conjured in times of great strife, be it physically or mentally. Groups that utilize Slayers often have their own unique ways of triggering such things as well, varying immensely but still serving the same overall purpose.

While the capabilities of each Figment differ, each still provides a small assortment of enhancements to the individual uniformly, such enhancements growing over time as the Slayer learns to master their Figment.

    Spoiler:

Physical Enhancement: Figment wielders upon awakening are given a bevy of upgrades to their body comparative to a standard human. Higher strength, faster speed, faster natural regeneration. At first, such things may be quite easy to hide, as said bonuses start out quite small. However, a Slayer grows with their Figment, and in time, wielders may find themselves capable of feats no human could ever hope to accomplish. The strongest Slayers are known to be able to lift cars, outspeed Olympic athletes, and regenerate from lethal wounds in mere days.

Demon Slayer: Figments have the natural capability to negate the natural regenerative properties of more powerful demons. This does not just apply to the Figment itself, but any tool that the wielder uses, allowing more defensive Figments to still be capable of doing damage.

Spirit-Sense: Figment wielders can naturally detect the souls of other beings, be they human or demon. Slayer groups often use this to search for good candidates for Figment awakening, but it can also be used to rout out even disguised demons.

Soul Strength: A figment is nigh indestructible, a bladed figment will never dull, a shield will not be dented, a gun will not jam. The only way a figment can be destroyed is by killing the Slayer themselves. On a Slayer’s death, the figment will dissipate immediately.

Recall: A figment can never be lost. It’s wielder instinctively knows it’s location, or any subdivisions of it, and can recall it to themselves at will.

    Setting:

Setting is near modern day, akin to the concept of a School-based anime, switching between both slice of life and action regularly.

Location is centralized to a single city rather than a world-spanning journey. (MORE INFO COMING SOON!!!!)

Main antagonists are the Sins and other Lords as they attempt to disrupt life on Earth. Control of Demons/Sins is allowed, but creators of the RP must be spoken with beforehand.

    RULES OF THE RP:

1: Every standard RP Rule from other RP's such as being respectful, no taking control of other people's characters without permission, no godmodding, no powergaming, and have fun. No meta-gaming either.

2: Please try to not make your characters as overpowered as possible. But try to be creative, and if you have questions/trouble making a character, just ask. The only exception to the rule of "No overpowered characters" are the Deadly Sins. However those are supposed to be highly important antagonist/neutral characters for plot reasons.

3: Most Main Characters will be rookie Hunters who *have not* gotten their Figment's yet. The existence of Demon's are still unknown to most Main Characters. UNLESS GIVEN PERMISSION OTHERWISE. This is to try and help keep main characters balanced with each other.

4a: I'm taking this next bit from Wriggle's old RP Bad Omen since it perfectly sums up my stance on things. (Slightly edited with my own stuff)
    [TRIGGER WARNING]

This is a mature anime/light-novel style RP. There will be some slice-of-life in the daytime. There will be badass action scenes in the nighttime. There will be lighthearted comedy, AND there WILL be a lot of raunchy, lewd jokes thrown out throughout the RP. If you are not comfortable with this, you are free to press the back button and not join this RP. By creating an application, you agree that you are willing/comfortable to take part in this RP. Please note that there will not be any EXPLICIT sexual stuff. No porn or things like that allowed. So NO FULL ON ERO. This is not a Ero RP. Just a RP with very light Ecchi like you'd expect from a traditional anime nowadays. Just remember that just because YOU may like to take part in the shenanigans, doesn't mean other people who join this RP wants to as well. If they tell you they don't want to, then they don't have to. If you wish to post a picture that would be considered NSFW, please put it in spoilers with a clear warning:
    [ spoiler = ]
    [ / spoiler ]
Just remove the spaces and put said types of picture in between that format. Don't forget the warning outside of the spoilers..

    Rule 4b:
On the other end of the spectrum, expect a few moments to probably get dark and gruesome here and there. Even in some of the lighter anime out there have dark, and sometimes even gruesome moments.

    So remember. NOTHING EXPLICIT.

5: An App can be accepted by Wriggle, Koishi Komeiji, or myself. If the apps do not get noticed, please send a PM to me on Discord. Likewise if either of them tell you to cut something out (like you are being too inappropriate), then listen to them. They will function as moderators for me if I'm not able to catch when something bad is happening. However that does not mean they are allowed to get away with breaking the rules. If they do something that is against the rules (accidentally or otherwise), let them know or let me know. Same goes for me. If I end up doing things that would be against the rules of this RP, please let me know and I'll cease.

    Gender:

Appearance: (Sins are just as varied as any other demon, don’t think just humanoid forms. Go crazy.)

Abilities: ( Sins are amongst the most powerful Demons in existence, and their powers should reflect this. They’re still significantly less powerful than their father, but powerhouses nonetheless. While their powers are not always tied to their respective sin, all do have a natural aura that can affect those around them, for example, Sloth might cause loss of willpower, Greed might envoke selfishness, etc, etc. You can change these as you want, but the aura should be tied to them thematically. As for upper limits of power, consider them a bit below the level of someone like Yukari Yakumo. Powerful reality warpers, but not impossibly so.)

Personality: (Remember that even though they’re tied to the sins immensely, they’re not ruled by them. It shouldn’t be their only personality trait.

      Spoiler: Enraku, Sin of Sloth
Name: Enraku (Usually just referred to as En by most aside from family.)

      Sin: Sloth

Gender: ??? ( Enraku prefers not to care about such things, and most of their forms either lack gender or are purposefully androgynous.)

      Appearance:
      Spoiler: Disguised Form

      Abilities:

Relaxing Aura: Like all sins, Enraku possesses an aura. Specifically, an aura that actively pacifies those around them in a large area. This can be weakened or intensified, where on the higher end, it appears to drain willpower and physical energy from those around them.

Speed: Enraku’s main and most notable capability is their ability to manipulate the very concept of speed. This can, of course be used to allow them to be faster than the human eye can see, but it can also be used to slow down others as well. But that is merely the surface of what they can do. They could grant one immortality by ceasing one’s aging, or reduce one to naught but ashes via the opposite. Speed up their own thought processes and reaction times, and much more.

Magician: Enraku’s preferred methods are via their mastery of magic. Why bother with complex reality warping when a fireball solves the problem all the same? They are a very powerful magician, trained by their father personally, capable of conjuring powerful whirlwinds of fire, conjure lightning at their fingertips and bend the very ground to their will.

Personality: Enraku is most easily described as casual, almost no matter the circumstances. It’s not to say they can’t be serious, but said seriousness is often dosed heavily with biting sarcasm or blunt statements. They’re highly inquisitive, loving to see what exactly makes somebody tick.

Bio: It was quite apparent from the start that Enraku was not like other demons, or even other Sins. Demons are often highly aggressive, even from birth. Yet, Enraku wasn’t. It caught their father’s attention immediately.

Demons can often be dominated by instinct and aggression, yet Enraku’s very presence was a calming force, even for themselves. Their very presence is what allowed new options to open up. Where once subjugation by force was the only option, now diplomacy opened up.

And it was thus that the true conquering of the world began. Enraku was the first of the Sins, before they were called that. Trained personally by their father, Enraku became one of the most powerful demons in existence, and even as the rest of their siblings were born, it stayed that way. But, again, that key difference still lied within them, and when the war against humanity began and ended, Enraku and those who followed them were the only demons that stayed on Earth until the incursions began again.

They liked it here, they enjoyed humanity’s culture, it’s technology, and they and their followers integrated themselves, the Sin opening small businesses throughout the world. They prefer not to meddle in demonic affairs, but serve both sides at their businesses. To the brewing war, their businesses serve an important purposes. Neutral ground. For Enraku does not tolerate violence towards others within their walls, and this is a rule respected by everyone, Demon or Slayer alike.

While many think they have deeper plans, they just brush it off and serve drinks of all kinds to all people. For that is what they enjoy, simple as it is.

      Spoiler: Waelin Brooke
      Name: Waelin Brooke

      Age: 21

      Gender: Female

      Appearance:

Skills: Waelin is a professional weaver and costume-maker, often assisting in creation of costumes and props for various projects, mainly commissioned work. Such work has also given them an immense patience and a very steady hand. They’re quite resourceful and quick on their feet.

Personality: Waelin is not the most sociable person, not good at showing emotion outside of extreme circumstance or pressure. Prefers to keep a veil of calm. Doesn’t exactly push others away, but certainly not actively looking for conversation or relationship. Usually thinks of themselves before most others. Prefers the direct approach.

Bio: Waelin has thus far lived a mostly normal life. Decent parents, went to a decent school, always expressed interests in arts like knitting, weaving and later, costume making. They always preferred to be alone, favoring the company of those online to in real-life. After moving to Ortus, their mother wanted them to get out more, maybe make a friend or two. Waelin relented, signing up for a local group also interested in weaving as they were. They mildly enjoyed it, though one person seemed to have a particular eye on them.

One day as she was heading home from the club, she was knocked unconscious and kidnapped.

She saw horrific things. Monsters veiled in cloaks of blue, elaborate rituals, screams. She tried to stay calm, even as they injected them with serums and strapped them to tables, carving marks into their skin with knives, even as a horn began to grow from their head.

But she had a plan in those intermediary parts, where she sat in a cell for hours on end. Which she put into action after the power was cut temporarily during a storm. She had memorized the patterns of the guards, and exploited it, using a small sewing needle they accidentally left on Waelin’s person. They managed to pick the cell’s rudimentary lock and book it, fleeing from the place’s back entrance.

Now they’re on the run, even as their former captors yell to find them.

Other/Notes: Doings of their captors has left them with highly noticeable demonic features. Mostly has left no actual physical bonuses aside from being able to see better in the dark and somewhat sharpened teeth and hands.

      Spoiler: Threadbare
      Name: Threadbare

      Owner/Creator: Waelin

      Active State Appearance:

Inactive State Appearance: It appears as a normal spool of thread lined with pure white string.

      Abilities:

Weightless: Threadbare practically weighs as light as an actual sewing needle, yet it strikes with all the force, mass and weight of a greatsword. However, this lightweight also applies to it’s wielder, allowing them to leap large distances as well as allowing the user to pull up their own weight easily.

Soulthread: Firstly, the figment comes with a series of small throwing knives, looking much like smaller variants of the main figment. Each knife, as well as the large blade can produce a glowing white thread. This thread is just as durable as the rest of the Figment, and can cut into and burn demonic entities. In terms of limits, the thread has a limit of 100 feet, but over time, the user can expand their reserves. The knives aren’t primarily for attacking, but rather, grappling.

When aimed at a surface and thrown, the knife will impact into that surface without falloff of things like gravity. While in flight, a thread automatically is connected to the wielder’s hand, extending out to the distance of the impact site. After impact, a small tug will rocket the user to the impact point, the speed being capable of being adjusted as the wielder learns to control the ability.

A few seconds after the user lets go of the thread, both thread and knife will vanish back to the user’s hand, allowing them to immediately throw another. Knives can also be recalled back manually. Soulthread can also be used to entangle or cut apart smaller foes, and a skilled user can eventually learn to channel their thread into potent attacks or even healing.

Mode Change: The weapon has two main modes, sword and lance, demonstrated in the image. Sword on left, lance on middle and right. Sword functions exactly as you believe, allowing for quick, simple swings. Lance mode allows the user to rocket forward with a burst of speed, closing the vents immediately afterwards for maximum skewering. It takes a moment to charge, but combined with the lower weight can be used to travel very fast.

      Spoiler: Iuvial, Sin of Wrath

      Name: Iuvial, Sin of Wrath

      Gender: Male

Appearance: Iuvial’s appearances vary heavily, more so than many sins. The forms he chooses suit the situation at hand, and he can look anywhere from completely human to a towering monstrosity of metal and flesh. However, it is quite rare to see their face, as it is often obscured by helmets or a ghastly void of darkness. Commonly, they appear within armor akin to a knight of an older age of Earth, though with their own twists on such things.

      Abilities:

Wrathful Aura: Almost an opposite of their older brother, Iuvial’s aura incites aggression in those around them. On the weaker end, it can merely cause people to be more short-fused, more rash and prone to action rather than words, but when intensified, it can incite a burning hatred that practically begs the person to lash out at all those around them, loved ones or not.

One Demon Army: If Enraku is the one who inherited their father’s magical abilities, then Iuvial inherited their body. Among the Sins, they are one of the strongest physically, shrugging off what would be mortal blows for nearly any other demon and responding in kind with the kind of strength that could pull apart tanks. His speed is nothing compared to their closest sibling, but they can easily catch up to a car on foot. Finally, his stamina is near limitless. Outlasting them is a near impossibility and wholly impractical.

Master of Arms: Iuvial can, at will, create any kind of weapon known to either demonkind or man alike, and they possess innate skill with every one. From the simplest of sticks to the most advanced firearms out there, he knows it all. While they dislike firearms, they understand their practicality, especially against human targets. They are also a fairly decent spellcaster, but prefer to focus on the physical rather than the magical.

Personality: Iuvial is often seen as aloof to all. Near emotionless, brutal and without mercy to all who dare to stand between them and their desires. That is not to say they lack morality, for they can accept surrender and most deaths at their hand are swift, but most conversation is short and curt. They do not mince words or try to hide intentions behind subterfuge. They are direct, blunt, and efficient, whether it comes to conversations or battlefield strategy alike. However, they do have soft spots, a small handful of times where they might reveal that there is more than a cold, giant of hatred beneath the armor they almost always wear.

Bio: First came Sloth, second came Wrath. Iuvial’s birth was of much less note than Enraku’s, but they were trained to be just as formidable as their older sibling. The two grew up close, considering the short time between their births. They forged a bond in both friendship and battle alike. During their father’s conquest, the two were inseparable, covering each other’s weaknesses, the forces lead by both some of the most feared of their father’s legions, besides the one personally lead by the warlord themselves.

Iuvial handled the tactics, the strategy, the logistics, while Enraku supplied unrelenting force and bolstering of morale from their mere presence.

After the war’s close, many of the Sins fell apart in terms of alliances, preferring to work on their own. Iuvial and Enraku were exceptions, working together to help hold together the new world-spanning empire their father had created.

After the invasion of Earth, Iuvial worried for their sibling, noting their growing disinterest in their kind, especially when the revolt began. And when the war came to a close and they were forced back to their world, they noted the their lack. They were missing. The next in line, their older sibling, their best friend was gone. Iuvial closed themselves off from everyone before they reluctantly took the throne. But they could not hold the empire together on their own, and their other siblings were reluctant to assist. They became cold as ice, filled with anger. But still, they plotted and planned. They are the reason for the demons returning to Earth. They want Enraku back, and they’ll remove every last trace of humankind if that’s what it takes to do so.

And then all will be right again.

Sometimes when you're driving down a road, a bug hits your windshield. It's ugly and unpleasant, but you just activate the wipers / cleaning fluid and it's gone in a few seconds. It's just part of driving down the road. You don't dwell on it, because that'd be silly. Bugs aren't worth the time.

You just discard their guts and keep on driving.

I legally bought this place to put my apps :3c

          Spoiler: Odilon, Sin of Greed

          Name: Odilon Desabîme

Sin: Greed does not only apply to material wealth and goods. It also consists of the excessive desires of anything quantifiable or comparable for more than what is needed or deserved. This includes, but is definitely not limited to: popularity, recognition, admiration, power, and pleasure. It could be argued that other forms of sins, such as Lust and Gluttony, have some kind of avarice built into them.

          Gender: Male

          Appearance:
          Spoiler:

          Abilities:

Covetous Aura: Like all sins, Odilon exudes an aura around him in a large radius that can adversely affect the decision making skills of those within. The affected individuals may experience inclination to “go big or go home”, perform reckless activities, or become more lascivious, based on each individual’s desires. The aura can be weakened, inhibited, or intensified. Intensified aura can cause an individual to seek after what they desire the most, no matter the cost or the sacrifice; even resorting to senseless violence or other illegal acts.

High Society: While Odilon has superior physical capabilities compared to other demons, his actual raw combat strength is possibly the lowest out of all Seven sins. His power, however, comes from his social status from several centuries’ worth of interloping into various enterprises. He now has the biggest network out of perhaps any beings on Earth, using his massive wealth and power to control the world at his fingertips.

          Personality:

Odilon is a man of many personalities; he melds himself well in any sort of situation and environment. In a soiree full of elites and their entourages, Odilon keeps an air of poise and grace fit for the classiest gentleman. In a more casual environment, Odilon becomes more friendly and down-to-earth. Such characteristic is why Odilon is generally well-liked by both the wealthy and the commonfolk.

One common theme of Odilon’s personalities however is his incredible cunning. Prior to the demon lord’s defeat, Odilon was known as “The Schemer” among the ancient Demon Slayers for his wits and deceptive plans. He uses the intellect now for various purposes: from coming up with jokes for conversations to hatching plans for further spreading his influence in the world.

          Bio:

Odilon started out as a member of a lowly gremlin tribe in the demonic realm. Gremlins are weak demons whose pathetic power is made up for by their superior numbers that form tribes to instigate fights and raid others. The tribe that Odilon was a part of once raided a large, impressive castle but was quickly annihilated. Odilon was the only one remaining, but only because he was distracted by a room full of shiny things and strayed away from the rest of the tribe who thought for some reason it was a good idea to strike the central courtyard first.

Odilon too was quickly caught after it paraded the halls dressed in hilariously oversized regal clothing and outlandish combination of trinkets. However, the owner of the castle: the Demon Lord himself, did not execute the little gremlin. Instead, the Demon Lord saw into Odilon’s primordial avarice and remade his entire self, transforming him into Greed, one of his children.

While Odilon is grateful for the new life the Demon Lord has bestowed upon him, he was not a direct creation of one who remade him, and therefore craved freedom; independence from his one and only master. So when the Demon Lord overtook another world inhabited by pink biped creatures known as humans, he devised a scheme for him to stand above all others so that he can have everything in this world. The only problem, of course, the discrepancy of power between the Demon Lord and everyone else. For what Odilon can see, the Demon Lord was peerless and invincible.

That was, until he heard the news about a lowly human who slew a Higher demon Odilon saw such phenomena not much as a threat, but as an opportunity. If he could control these newly discovered resources, he could possibly stand on equal footing as the Demon Lord, if not as someone much stronger…

These humans that have obtained power to kill demons, calling themselves Demon Slayers, challenged the Demon Lord for their freedom. The Demon Lord himself and his children engaged in a bloody battle that eventually ended with the demons’ defeat. Greed, however, never participated. He fooled not only the Slayers, but his subordinates, the other Sins, and even the Demon Lord himself with a perfect replica of himself while he himself eloped to Earth, hiding from the persecution of the victorious Slayers and waiting for their victory to be faded from history.

Thousand years have passed since then. Demon Slayers have been faded from the public eye since time immemorial. Rise of technology has reduced the superstitious beliefs of demons to those of false cults and mass media, while wealth and social status has risen to source of one’s power, rather than physical strength. Those with the wealth to squander do so at an astronomical level, accompanied by those who can share their lavish desire for primordial pleasure. And at the heart of the network of elites, a lone man grins with a luxurious glass of whiskey in one hand and a doctor’s report on the other, hatching his schemes in the shadows.

            Spoiler: Subject A-7117

            Name: Subject A-7117

            Age: 18

            Gender: Female

            Appearance:
            Spoiler:

            Spoiler:

            Spoiler:

            Skills:
            • The most striking feature about Subject A-7117 in terms of skills are her vastly superior physical prowess. Genetic tampering have created given her stronger bones and denser muscles, allowing her to perform bodily feats comparable to the stronger Slayers.
            • As a combatant, Subject A-7117’s skills shine in assassination and skirmishes, though she still pulls her weight in full-frontal contact. She is likely to flank and deliver deadly strikes from high vantage points using her high vaulting power and the innate range of her Figment.
            • Subject A-7117’s history as a servant and a slave has given her an extensive knowledge in menial tasks, such as laundry and cleaning. She is terrible at cooking, however.
            • Subject A-7117 is also adept in taking care of animals and gardening; skills that she had before she was brainwashed and altered.

            Personality:

Subject A-7117 exhibits little changes in her expression due to years of brainwashing, though she is not completely devoid of emotions. She has the capacity to sympathize and express herself, though she does so at a much less magnitude.

Subject A-7117 has next to no social skills, and therefore often finds herself in awkward social situations. This, coupled with a completely different sense of normalcy, makes Subject A-7117 a sore thumb even in a crowd of people.

            Bio:

Subject A-7117 used to live in the city of Ortus. Her parents were investment agents and were frequently absent in the girl's life, so she was raised by an apathetic aunt whose interests were in how much money she received from the girl's parents, rather than caring for the child.

The girl wasn’t miserable, however; she had a friend; a sorrowful transfer student from Japan. While everyone else was sheepish or outright avoided the boy, the girl approached him, introduced herself, and asked if she could be his friend. Eventually the two grew so close they were practically inseparable. One fine evening, as they watched the sunset from the local park next to the beach, the girl proposed to the boy, asking him to marry her when they’re of legal age. The boy agreed.

That night, the piss-drunk aunt demanded the girl to buy some snacks for her beer, handing her a few scraps of paper money and coins. The girl was afraid of ghosts and boogeyman in the night, but she was more frightened of an angry aunt, so she complied. Before she could step out into an open street, however, mysterious pairs of hands grabbed her, choked her unconscious, and pulled her away into the darkness.

She does not remember any of this. Rather, she is not even aware that she had a previous life. She only remembers the chains. Men in white gowns called doctors, looking upon her like a rat in a cage, frantically writing notes and making remarks. The liquids they inserted into her chamber. The subsequent pain of being unmade. Her features changing at the whims of he whom the doctors referred to as the “Master”. His unmistakably sinister smile. The absolute fear that followed.

Over the course of 5 years, Subject A-7117 and other genetically altered subjects were used by the mysterious organization for various nefarious deeds; from criminal activities such as sabotage and assassinations to a more carnal use. The poor subjects did not have any desire to escape as they were meticulously brainwashed to the point that they believed that this was their purpose. However, one day, the Subject A-7117 mysteriously disappeared alongside the benefactor; all eyewitnesses brutally killed, all surveillance cameras missing, defunct, or destroyed, and no whereabouts as to where she could be...

                  Nicholas Wolfram
                  Spoiler:

                  Name: Nicholas Wolfram (Nickname: Nick)

                  Age: 18

                  Gender: Male

                  Appearance:

Skills: Nicholas is very intelligent, capable of both formulating complex plans in the briefing room, or on his feet in the heat of battle. He is also quite talented when it comes to one of his stranger hobbies: making contraptions and messing with technology. While being a bit of a science nerd, he also is quite athletic, well above his peers in physical pursuits. This is mostly due to him training with his father, teaching him that a strong mind can bring about a strong body, and that the two have a close relationship. He was always a bit of a loner, and that often made him a target for those who enjoy the pain of others. Because of this, it was a necessity that he learned to fight, and he's damn good at it too. He can also put firearms and knives to good use, and knows how to maintain them. He also knows how to drive a car.

Personality: Nicholas is a person with a rather complicated personality with conflicting philosophies. On one hand, he is a nihilist, a cynic, and believes that everyone serves their own needs. There are nothing but broken people wandering in a broken world. At his worst, he is a pessimist. On the other, he believes there is SOME good to people, that there has to be SOME meaning in the world. There are good people, otherwise, how would have mankind gotten this far? There is no meaning in the grand scheme of things, except the meaning one ascribes to. It is in this belief that he contradicts himself. He swings from cynicism to optimism, from no meaning to the meaning he chooses, from selfishness to altruism. He is in a point in his life where he is transitioning from childhood to adulthood, and learning that reality is cruel is a hard pill for him to swallow. Despite that, he refuses to let reality beat him down. Life is a constant fight, and he refuses to give in.

Nick's often skeptical against those he doesn't know, believing it's smart to be detached. To strangers, he comes off as guarded and aloof, focused on only his current goals. If there is someone he has to be diplomatic towards, he is friendly and witty, but underneath keeps a close eye on them, his cynicism forcing him to err on the side of caution. He does this not because he wants to, but because he is afraid of getting hurt. To those he trusts closely and recognizes as friends, he shows his true colors, being animated, witty, and kind. In truth, his distrust of people is a defense. He is actually afraid of getting hurt, so he shuts people out. Deep down he's kind, very thoughtful, and loves to go wild.

That being said, he can also be quite passionate about things currently in his focus, beating his head against the proverbial wall until he breaks through. On the flipside, he can be a bit easy to anger. He greatly dislikes people who step on others to get ahead, or really any person who isn't a decent person. He believes that one is free to do what they want, as long as they aren't hurting anyone. He holds much respect for kind people and those who are decent human beings.

Ultimately, where there is light, there is darkness, and he embodies both aspects of it. He tempers his emotions with logic, tries to make the best of bad situations, is very strong-willed, and tries to find the light in the darkness.

Bio: Nicholas is your average guy. He spent most of his life in a military family and picked up a lot of his sensibilities from such a lifestyle. That being said, his childhood was rough. It wasn't an awful childhood, but it wasn't a good one either. Ever since he could remember, he was always the outsider, the other to everyone's in-group. He was smaller than the other kids, so he was picked on incessantly, and his inclination to fight back always saw him to the principal's office. The cruelty of others and the inaction of the adults he trusted lead to him being an angry and troubled child. Deceit ran wild between his now former friends as their whims changed like the tide. Today's friend was tomorrow's bully. He went from being a cheery happy-go-lucky child to being angry and alone. This continued until he had had enough, and he fought back. He fought every person who had wronged him, all the pent up anger he had up till then was dished out in kind. Yes, he succeeded in his childhood revenge, but it was that very anger that also drove everyone away too.

He was now in middle school. The anger he once had was buried far beneath the surface of his consciousness. Fear replaced it now, fear of being the monster people thought he was, fear of getting hurt and not being able to fight back, lest he repeat the cycle of abuse yet again. People were kinder in this period of his life, though most people avoided him. Some tried to interact with the shy boy who sat in the back of the classroom, but he would brush them off. He never meant to be cold, but he didn't know how to interact with them either. Unbeknownst to him, he feared getting hurt again, so he kept everyone at arm's length. What some kids took as him being cool and aloof was him living in fear. Councilors and doctors tried to help him, but he was unmovable. They put him on medications and gave him constant therapy, but he made little progress. After all, you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make them drink.

It was now the time he reached high school. The fear mostly subsided, but was always in the back of his mind, wearing the mask of cynicism. Everyone had a possible motive, and everyone was looking out for themselves. This allowed people of like minds to group together, creating mutual gratification for themselves. High school was a masquerade ball, a social game where various cliques, in-groups, danced about and interacted with one another. People rose in popularity one day, only for a petty occurrence to knock them out of the limelight and into the darkness of ridicule. Everyone wore masks, pretending to be their ideal selves, but those masks hid broken people, just as broken as Nick. As for Nick, he was on the outskirts of this masquerade, a loner. He would talk with people with a smile, but he was wearing a mask of his own. Again, keeping people at arm's length, but still treating people as he would want to be. Despite his rather bleak view on the world, he still found some enjoyment in some of the people who would stop by and talk with him. Most people just wanted to get to know this mystery man. If only Nick could see it.

That being said, trouble did occasionally follow Nick. Whether it was an uppity jock or a group of delinquents, Nicholas did what he did best; piss them off and kick their asses. Some people thought he must be a psycho, while others thought he was an aloof badass. He got in more fights than he could count, and although he lost a couple, he won a vast majority.

His home life was certainly a lot better. In fact, it was almost the opposite of his school life. He had a loving mother and father, and although his father wasn't around all the time, he tried to make the most of his time up till his retirement. It was he who taught Nick the moral values he held, who taught him a thing or two about fighting, and taught him how to get swole at the gym. Nick had a younger brother and sister, and was the best older brother he could be. Sure, his family had their ups and downs, but he knew that compared to everyone else, he had it pretty good with them. They were his light. This, in combination to his own soul-searching lead him to his current philosophical and psychological state. The world is rough, but it just takes a few good people to make it seem less bleak.

Likes: Guns, blades, food, video games, exercise, breaking shit, making shit, and the buzz of a caffeine rush.

Dislikes: Dishonest people, cruel people, people who step on others, and traffic.

                  Other/Notes:

                  Figment
                  Spoiler:

                  Name: The Inner Fire

                  Owner: Nicholas Wolfram

Active State Appearance: A whitish-blue aura that envelops his body.

Inactive State Appearance: A foreign material that resides in his cells, much like one would expect from someone with mercury poisoning.

Abilities: The ability to use what some might call "Chi". Through the power of his will, Nick has the ability to use this unseen energy to enhance his own physical attributes to a larger degree than he would be naturally capable of. He can use this both offensively and defensively. It can make him hit harder, faster, and more precisely, or increase his own durability to a larger degree, allowing him to resist larger amounts of damage than those without his aura. Eventually, he can even learn to heal himself faster with this energy.

With enough practice, he can imbue an object or person he holds with this energy to either act as a conduit for his aura, or to invigorate and heal his allies. He can also call forth his own energy to generate weapons and projectiles, or even flare his aura to damage enemies. These of course consume his energy, and if used too much, can lead to depletion.

One final NPC app for the time being:

                      Spoiler:

                      NPC Name: Miranda Carter

                      NPC Age: 29

                      NPC Gender: Female

                      NPC Appearance:
                      https://i.imgur.com/OPop0I2.png
However instead of a skirt, she a pair of black military shorts with large pockets.
                      She stands at 5ft 9.

                      NPC Personality:

Brutal, loud, and tough is the best way to describe Miranda. Often preferring to live on the edge, enjoying things such as wrestling, firearms, drinking, and slaying demons. She has little patience and is often itching for a fight, leading her to often go off on her own in search of some action. Whether it be slaying demons or just a good ol’ fashioned fist fight, she won’t care.

This impatient and often reckless nature often leads her into trouble, not just with demons, but also her employers. Despite this Miranda is fiercely loyal and is willing to do anything to help out a close friend, even if it means getting herself badly injured in the process. She also does not tolerate when innocent people are in danger, often sending her into a deep rage. When not on a job or not seeking out a cheap thrill, she often enjoys spending her time at home drinking and exercising to keep her body fit as a fiddle.

                      NPC Career:
                      Demon Slayer for hire

                      NPC Bio: (Mostly Optional.)
Most of her backstory is kept secret, however what is known about her is that she became a demon slayer at the age of 17, and had slowly become a fierce Demon Slayer with a somewhat impressive reputation for her kill count against demons, even though most of them are lesser and average in terms of demon ranking. She has survived an encounter with a couple of Higher Demons on at least 2 separate occasions.

She also tends to carry a machete around with her wherever she goes… people tend not to question her on that.

She is currently employed by the same people who are employing Lance.

                      ================================================== ===================

                      Miranda’s Figment

                      ================================================== ===================

                      Name: Double Destiny

                      Active State Appearance:

                      https://i.etsystatic.com/12847703/r/...91730_4oly.jpg

                      A double barreled revolver magnum.

                      Inactive State Appearance:

                      https://previews.123rf.com/images/ta...-cartridge.jpg

                      An empty bullet casing

                      Abilities:

The Double Destiny is a revolver type Figment, particularly that of a double barrel variant of the S&W .500 magnum revolver. While this can use actual real ammunition of the .500 caliber, the main ability of this weapon is the ability to shoot bullets made of the users spiritual energy.

In terms of stopping power the spiritual bullets fired from this weapon are similar to that of the S&W 500 magnum. This makes shots fired incredibly powerful, and have the obvious benefit of injuring demons.

Originally the shots fired from this Figment were quite draining on Miranda, but over the years she managed to hone her Figment enough to make the energy drain less taxing. Currently she can fire either up to 6 times (if she’s firing a bullet from both barrels), or 12 times (if she’s firing from only one barrel at a time.) Even then, it only takes about a minute for her to gain enough energy to fire another round.

Finally, there are a couple of special abilities that she can do with Double Destiny. They are as follows:

Bullet Enchant: When using her figment she's capable of loading in and firing actual normal rounds into her revolver as long as they are of the proper caliber (the kind of caliber rounds a S&W 500 magnum would use.) Regular rounds fired out of Double Destiny are enchanted with a small amount of spiritual energy, allowing them to harm and kill demons. They will still pack the same amount of power as the spiritual shots have, However they come with the benefit of using drastically less Spiritual Energy to fire. Though this does require her to at least carry some actual physical ammo for it.

Charge Shot: Miranda can charge spiritual energy into Double Destiny to empower it up to twice it’s current stopping power. However doing so is incredibly draining, leaving her unable to fire spiritual bullets from Double Destiny for up to 10 minutes.

Bullet Manipulation: Miranda is capable of manipulating spiritual bullets fired from Double Destiny to an extent. With this she’s capable of altering her gunshots trajectory, but is incapable of completely reversing it. With this she’s capable of firing around tight 90 degree corners with decent ease. She’s also capable of halting a fired shot in place in mid air as well, letting stay in place for up to 20 minutes before releasing it. Shots halted in mid-air and then subsequently ‘released’ will then fly off at full speed and force. Manipulating the trajectory/freezing her bullets in mid-air is just as taxing as using her Charge Shot.

                        Spoiler: Hilda Hazevale

                        Name: Hilda Hazevale

                        Age: 16

                        Gender: Cute gal AYAYA

                        Appearance:
                        Spoiler:

                        Skills:
                        • Hilda is attuned to any and all things related to the field of engineering. While she is a skilled mechanic, she is more at home with inventing rather than fixing. This is thanks to her natural brilliance.
                        • Still, the "new" is often not "better", and she needs to make money to help her sick, adoptive grandmother somehow, so she takes up the job of repairman for her friends, neighbors, and rare clients.
                        • While her works are noteworthy, she is limited by her current status as a student and as a person of poverty. She often traverses through the junkyard at the shady part of town to scavenge parts rather than be able to buy them new.
                        • Hilda can take care of herself inside and out. Her aforementioned adoptive grandmother taught her how to cook from a young age, and she learned how to do chores naturally as the grandmother fell ill. Growing up in the poverty-struck part of Ortus gave her the agility required to escape from common thugs and worse people via the use of parkour. She's also surprisingly muscular, since carrying heavy things comes naturally with her occupation.
                        Personality:

Hilda does not let her upbringing inhibit her in any way. While she can appear cautious and cold to those she meets for the first time, she is very vibrant, outgoing, and has a good bit of sass to people she considers a friend. It's not hard to become a friend with Hilda either; just make a good first impression and she will treat you as a friend.

She seeks recognition and approval from the others, always trying to impress others. As such, she does revel in her brilliant mind, and when she gets to show off her smarts, she appears flippant, even almost arrogant. This is especially evident when she is in her workshop.

                        Bio:

Gertrude, Hilda's adoptive grandmother, recalls the time she was coming back home on a snowy winter day to find a cradle by the front door. The baby in the cradle was sleeping so soundly it was as if the cold didn't bother her, and when she woke up, the baby smiled upon seeing the strange old woman's face. Perhaps that innocent smile is why Gertrude decided to raise Hilda instead of sending her off to the orphanage; and frankly, as she lays in the bed while she sees that baby from 15 years ago fix the old television, she doesn't regret it at the slightest.

Hilda doesn't remember any of this, of course. To her, Gertrude was her caretaker, guardian, and mother figure; even if she was too old to be her biological mother. Still, nothing is perfect, and Hilda's environment was far from it. Gertrude was not given a retirement grant, and so she worked in a canning factory from early morning to late night for a measly wage. Their small one-room apartment in the worn-down decrepit building was the only place they could afford, and what food they could have on the table was a blessing.

To make matters worse, Gertrude fell ill when Hilda turned 12. Overworking in a harsh factory environment is a taxing matter even for a healthy adult; so it was very evident that Gertrude's body would deteriorate from it. Once the factory owner found out Gertrude was too sick to work, he fired her for a different reason to not give her sick pay. With Gertrude's steady income gone, and the Ortus government deliberating on providing her with some kind of poverty grant, Hilda's brilliant mind came up with a solution.

Hilda started taking requests for fixing machines for a fee to alleviate her grandmother's financial burden. After school, Hilda would go to the small unused room in the basement of the apartment that she has set up as a workshop to repair broken things. As the fee was much cheaper than calling for a licensed mechanic, Hilda's workshop did bring in a decent number of clients. However, it still left very little money leftover, so she resorted to scavenging in the junkyard at the dead of night for finding machine parts.

Most of the money made in the workshop, Hilda spent on medicines for her grandmother, but the medicines could only keep Gertrude's condition where it is; not better. Moreover, the prices of her medicines get higher by the day. Hilda took more repair jobs to counteract the price inflation, but this left her with very little time to do anything else, including schoolwork. Even though she was able to skip a couple grade due to her intelligence, she had to frequently skip school days to keep up with the growing repair requests, which puts her in a dangerous state of habitual negligence. She has to soon make a choice: continue taking more repair jobs to afford Gertrude's medicine, or keep up with school and graduate.

Hilda is accepted. Also if I have forgotten to say accepted for a character, then check the IC for the character list in the intro, if your character's name is there then it means accepted.

                            Name: Berith

                            Age: 38,734

                            Gender: Female

                            Appearance:
                            Spoiler: Pre-Binding

                            Spoiler: Post-Binding

Skills: Berith is a master magician, and though their power is partially sealed, they can still be quite a threat. They are masters of twisting and changing flesh and bone to however they wish, and they can manipulate blood just as easily.

Fleshweaving allows them to do things such as raising the dead temporarily, forming armor from bone, healing wounds simply by willing the pieces back into place, and shapeshifting and morphing of living tissue into anything they desire, positive or negative.

Hemomancy, or simply ‘Blood Magic’ involves the manipulation of existing sources of blood. They can cease a person’s movements by controlling the flow of their blood, cause blood vessels to burst, or force blood to coagulate to stop bleeding. Additionally, they can control blood outside the body, forming it into solid weapons or obstacles or simply wash somebody away in a tide of it, given there’s a high enough quantity.

While they can use spells of other magical schools, they personally prefer not to.

Naturally, they can fly, which is a necessity given their lack of proper limbs other than stubs. They’re not exactly fast, but maneuverability is quite high.

Berith is also an accomplished cook, especially for anything meat-based. Pastries are also a specialty. Though occasionally they put meat in them. And blood.

Personality: Berith has been considered many things over the years. Sadistic. Manipulative. Mischievous, and countless other horribly negative terms that it puts a smile to their face whenever they hear them. But above all else, they are self-serving. While they serve others, she does so for their benefit. She has never had anyone she’d exactly call a ‘friend’, especially given other’s tendencies to die horribly before themselves. And she would throw many to the wolves before themselves as well. At first, they can seem almost timid, unassuming, but those who get to know them understand their true intelligence and darker side, even if said side has mellowed over the past 15,000 years.

They’re deeply curious of anything new to themselves, especially things like science, which is still quite foreign to them, but something they’re very interested in. Learning is something they enjoy very much, and they’re sure to put said knowledge to use, whether it be for building, theorizing, or simple blackmail.

Bio: Berith is one of the oldest living demons in Hell, having existed before even the Demon Lord. Originally the founder of Clan Rael, one of the most prominent demon groups before the formation of the Demon Empire. They were a prodigy when it came to the realm of magic, being the originator of both Fleshweaving and Hemomancy. They were, at least back then, extremely ruthless, cold, and exceedingly sadistic, even for a Demon, and their reputation was well known, often referred to as the Sanguine Queen. Those under them submitted to them out of fear, for the simple act of defiance could be met with them ripping the entirety of one’s blood supply out in one motion, or excessively torturous acts of controlling other’s bodies and making them rip themselves apart, piece by piece.

Countless smaller clans were completely destroyed by their conquest. Their continued growth was only stifled when the Demon Lord themselves began their own growth. Most clans that went against his might capitulated within a month or two of fighting.

Berith’s clan fought them for 12 years. Her capability to cause anguish to others was only eclipsed by her intellect, which paired together made them a master of shock and awe and warfare in general. Her clan was destroyed down the last demon. She, alone fought the Lord atop the bodies of her allies and subordinates. She struck them with everything they had, but it wasn’t enough. He tore her to shreds. But he respected them immensely, and thus had them preserved. While naught but their head and a set of hands were left, advances in the creation of golems along with more widespread use of the arts they had created allowed their survival with an artificial body powered by their soul and magic. Their power was bound and their will enslaved to the Lord, for letting them loose in any way could cause… problems.

They despised working under his rule, but they had no choice. They became a general in their armies, oftentimes working alongside the Sins as an advisor, and occasionally teacher to them in the magical arts. After the complete formation of the Empire, they worked at the Lord’s side for countless years, offering countless pieces of information that could be found nowhere else, so high was their mastery and knowledge of the inner workings of magic. Over time, their sadistic streak and their general mood mellowed into something more of a mischievous streak rather than something exclusively malicious. Biting sarcasm was their way of rebellion, and they did so quite well.

Berith was one of many to question the invasion of Earth. They considered it a waste, considering how well-off they were already. But they had no choice, so they assisted and when the humans finally fought back, they laughed. They figured this exact thing would happen. The Figments themselves were a curiosity to them, considering they had never seen anything similar within Demonkind before.

But when the Demon Lord fell, true shock came upon their person. And for a time, they were free. FInally free. Still bound in terms of power, but they could do whatever they wished.

Mostly. There were limits, and they knew others would exploit them if they knew. The binding to the lord was undone, but there were backups. Now, they could be bound to anyone, and they could immediately think of many who would want to exploit them for their gain, not hers. So, she willingly went to the currently depressed Iuvial and asked to serve them.

They accepted, and immediately put the magician to work on fixing the portal system. They wanted Enraku back, and Berith knew precisely why. But, they accepted, and went to work, for getting back there would be for their gain as well as Wrath’s.

Progress was slow as they had to completely redo the system from the ground up. Enraku’s disappearance took their notes and work with them. Plus, they couldn’t simply do it as easily as the Lord did, given the significant difference in available power.

But they had time, and Iuvial was very patient. But eventually, Berith succeeded. Then, the next step was to gain a foothold on Earth. Iuvial sent their highest ranking officer alongside Berith to set up said foothold, which came in the form of the Veiled Eye, a seeping near infectious cult which has numerous posts around the globe.

However, Berith cares little for the Veiled Eye or Iuvial’s workings. It is merely an excuse for their true goals., which they get closer and closer to.

Okay. Minor announcement. Not a super important one, but I will be adding a new app template. This one would be for groups/organization/factions ETC. This is something that won't be completely mandatory to fill out, but it will be helpful to supply information for groups/organizations/factions that might exist.

I will post the app template in this post, but will add it to the actual Opening post in the Templates section.
