OOC: Sanctuary REVAMPED

I like the idea of having a currency called Platinum, although Idk about incrementing the currency value by 10. Sounds a bit too rigid for a fantasy currency.

It makes it easier to count for quick calculations. Was trying to make things easier for people.

We can use the classic gold coins, and if you got gems, think of the LoZ rupees

With today's curancey a dollar isnt' much but about 80 years ago or so you could go to the store and buy enough grosherie to feed a family of four for 2 days with only 80 cents, maybe less if you get a bargain.

In highn sight comparing the currency in this to modern day dollars might no have been the best idea but i dont' want to make gold too op since i want it to be posible for not so wealthy character to be able to have gold coins.

Anyway i was thinking along the lines of

gold = 10
silver =5
copper= 1
and i guess platinum would be 8 if you want.


Edit: but like for the most part dont' orry about exact value just focus more on what you thin k would be a fair trade

Having a rough currency estimate does help and what you just posted seems more fair, to me at least.

Okay how does this sound?

Platinum - $100 (5 Gold = 1 Platinum)
Gold - $20 (4 Silver = 1 Gold)
Silver - $5 (20 Copper = 1 Silver)
Copper - $0.25

That can work. We just need other people's opinion too. I'm ok with this one.

Keep in mind Platinum is not actually Platinum coin. They're just a larger version of Gold coin. Can change name to Eatos, after Queen Eatos.

that's quite the gap between each of the metals. I would rather the gap between them wasn't quite so large.
