    Aeterna Rebirth - OOC/Character Signup

Hello and welcome back to the world of Aeterna! After much talk of just how much people really liked Aeterna, I've decided to bring it back. However, Aeterna Rebirth will work a little bit differently. See: Aeterna had a plot LINE. Rebirth is going to have a plot TREE. Most things are going to be open ended, and now that you guys have all figured out how to post more slowly, I won't have a conniption about being left behind!

Additionally: This time around, there will be an alternate story going on parallel to Aeterna. Before, we only had the world inside Aeterna. This time, there will be events occurring in the outside world relative to the incident that Tyruss has created.

    NOW WITHOUT FURTHER ADO

    Welcome To Aeterna

In 2093, Mankind embarked in the greatest journey in history. Decades of preparation. Dozens of missions. Everything led up to this. Finally, the colonization of the infamous Red Planet, Mars. On July 4th, the United States of America launched the Mega Shuttles "Christopher Columbus" and "Amerigo Vespucci" in celebration of the independence of their nation. With a crew of 50 and a cargo of 350 persons and an undisclosed number of tons of building materials each, this was the greatest endeavor pursued by mankind since the Apollo 11 landing in 1969 and the underwater colonization of the Atlantic Ocean by the reformed European Union in 2086.

2113: The Martian Colony of Plymouth has contacted Earth with an important message: Complete terraformation of the area upon which the colony was built. A perfectly breathable and livable atmosphere. Atmospheric levels were reported to be almost precisely 21% Oxygen and 79% Nitrogen in what was called the "Eden Zone" which included and was limited to a 150 kilometer bubble around the Terraformer that stood in the middle of Plymouth

2116: A brilliant, yet anonymous scientist created a sort of virtual reality machine that scanned the numerous parts of the brain that processed an individuals imagination and recreated it almost perfectly as a Three-Dimensional Image. His inspiration for the project was the saying that one's imagination is limitless. He figured that if this was true, and we could unlock the human imagination, we could discover entire universes of limitless possibilities for exploration. Of course, these lands would never be able to provide tangible profit for the real world, but he dreamed that it would help unify mankind through the understanding of one's fellows.

2118: The scientist, now identified as a German professor by the name of Seelisch, has refined his machine which he simply calls "Hive." He files a patent for a small chip that can be implanted into one's brain for the user to access and use to explore, to actually live, their imagination whenever they would see fit. The patent is accepted. Seelisch continues work, hoping to network the Hive chips so that people can explore another's imagination.

2120: The Hive chips become a world-wide hit and Seelisch is praised for his work, awarded with a Nobel Peace Prize.

2121: The Hive hits 1 Billion Users.

2122: Seelisch announces that he has perfected firmware that networks the Hive chips, and makes it known that this firmware update can be acquired for a small fee at the clinics where the Hive users had their Hive chips implanted.

2123: The HiveNET hits 500 million users. A subscription fee for HiveNET becomes a necessity as to prevent unemployment from skyrocketing

2124: All 1 Billion original users of the Hive have now networked their chips, along with 2 Billion more joining the greatest journey mankind has embarked upon since the Mars Colonization. The journey into the Human Mind. Crime rates plummet as people begin exploring the minds of their fellow man, beginning to understand them. World Peace becomes an international topic.

2125: The HiveNET takes on a landscape of its own, becoming so dense that it cannot support its previous setup of a hub that leads to different minds. The imaginations of mankind create one massive world, dubbed Aeterna, derived from the Latin word for "Eternal." Aeterna is littered with cities, mountains, forests, oceans, deserts, etc. It is effectively a planet of its own, only the possibility for exploration is endless.

2126: A hacker hijacks the HiveNET, changing the code in the firmware to disallow people from escaping, trapping billions their imaginations, and blocking Seelisch out of the system. The HiveNET cannot be shut down and the people inside must save themselves. Some do not mind this, they have become addicted to the HiveNET. However, employment plummets as the billions of users become trapped inside their own minds, and the minds of the rest of humanity. The hacker, known only as Tyruss, has erected himself an empire, with many of the more blood-thirsty members of the HiveNET as his subordinates. His empire begins in the center of Aeterna, a place known as Regius, and ending... well... nobody knows where it ends. Tyruss's men are everywhere. Nobody knows just how many he has, or when they will show up.

Now, A year later, Tyruss is hunting you. For reasons possibly beyond your knowledge, you represent a threat to Tyruss's empire. Gather as many friends as you can, as you are not the only one who Tyruss has his sights on. You must either fight back together to free Aeterna and hopefully save yourself from this entrapment, or join Tyruss and rule Aeterna with an iron fist. Oh, and don't die... if you die here, you'll never return to the real world until Tyruss is defeated and the code is put back in order.

    Rules of Aeterna:

One day in the real world is equal to experiencing three days in Aeterna. Just a heads up.

Seelisch originally had allowed limitless potential with Aeterna. All matter of guns and such were allowed. However, with Tyruss in charge and unwilling to face the possibility of a bullet, he disabled them when he broke into the code for the HiveNET. He has effectively plummeted Aeterna into a medieval age. You may have a rifle, but you cannot use it. Guns are rendered pointless by Tyruss's code. However, he is not unsporting. He has allowed you usage of magical spells and numerous melee weapons.

Basically, your character can be anything you want them to, but they are stuck with whatever they have upon creation, unless they find/buy other things.

Due to your character having limitless potential, there are bound to be overpowered characters. Do not make your characters overpowered. I will not allow them if I find them too overpowered. Developing into such a thing is a different story.

Multiple Characters are permissible provided you don't go overboard with them, capiche?

RELATIONSHIPS ARE A-OK. IN FACT, I ENCOURAGE THEM.

General roleplaying rules apply. I might have forgotten something. If you have any questions on the legality of your next post, talk to me.

    ESTABLISHED FACTIONS:

Tyruss' Legion - This is Tyruss's omnipresent empire, led by himself and his three hacker cohorts, Malus, Tenebrae, and Vohr.

Mercenaries - What do you think these are?

Speran Rebels - A Small group of disorganized rebels from the southern town of Spera

Freelancers - not part of a faction, can be recruited. Can be "(Character's Name)'s Rebels". This is war.

    CHARACTER TYPES:

Messiah I'll let you guys work out stuff for this. Your plot development skills have evolved far enough to do so.

Duelist: You're a powerful swordsman. You're being hunted by Tyruss not for your uncanny abilities, but the simple fact that you oppose him, you're stronger than most with a sword, and that makes you a threat. Or maybe you're fighting for Tyruss. Your choice. Spell Skill is 1/5. Sword Skill is 5/5.

Mage: You're a powerful magician, advanced spells are child's play to you. Not quite as skilled in hand-to-hand combat as a Soldier, but hopefully you're skilled enough in actually using magic for that not to become an issue. Spell skill is 5/5. Sword Skill is 1/5

SpellSlinger: You've practiced spell casting for a good portion of your time in Aeterna, but also devoted some time to close quarters combat. You can use slightly more complex spells, but nothing as powerful as a Mage is capable of. Spell Skill is 4/5. Sword Skill is 2/5.

SpellSword: You've made it your mission to be as flashy a swordsman as possible. Practicing magic in tandem with your swordsmanship has given you a rather interesting combat style, and your magic is decent, but not too powerful. Spell Skill is 3/5. Sword Skill is 3/5.

Soldier: You've been training the art of Swordsmanship for a very long time, with a decent amount of time dedicated to honing your spell casting. You're not the most effective spell caster, but you know enough to use it somewhat efficiently in combat. Spell Skill is 2/5. Sword Skill is 4/5.

Commander: You're a unit commander in Tyruss' Legion. Fight the Good Guys. Be a dick. Listen to Tyruss. (Special Note: Must be Bad Guy) (Select in Tandem with one of the above classes.)

Apothecary: You make potions to help people. You're the white mage. Only not a mage. Well... yeah, you are kinda, but you can only use defensive magic, though you are good at it.

    MAGIC TYPES:

Speed Magic - Can control the speeds of inanimate objects within a two meter radius. This includes your own body. However, if you take this: know that you are not EG Phenom. You can only reach terminal velocity for a human.

Wood Magic - You can summon trees or roots from the ground to form powerful barriers or attack your opponents. Maybe you enjoy pinning your adversary to the ground with powerful roots.

    Wind Magic - Self Explanatory

    Fire Magic - Self Explained.

    Water Magic - Self Explained

    Ice Magic - Self Explained

    Lightning Magic - Self Explained

    Earth Magic - Self Explained

Light Magic - You are basically Lux or Marisa or EG Terra. You can fire lasers, creates prismatic barriers around yourself, or will weapons of light out of thin air.

Sound Magic - You're pretty much Sona: You kill with sound. Yep.

All of these, except speed, have defensive and offensive forms. You can take both for reduced adeptness in both, or specialize in one for furthered mastery. ONLY ONE MAGIC TYPE PER CHARACTER (unless you're clever with it)

      Established Locations in Aeterna

      Regius

The capital of Tyruss's Empire in Aeterna. Lies in the very center of the world, where the hub used to be. Ruins of the hub have been built on by Tyruss with a statue in his honor.

      Regius North District

This is where rich people live.

      Regius Central

A grand tower stands over all of Regius, acting as a palace for the empire. This is where Tyruss is. Malus is here too. And Vohr. And Tenebrae.

      Regius East District

What equates to the industrial district. Gangs fight over territory here on a daily basis.

      Regius South District

      Slums and middle class district.

      Regius West District

Market District: Also full of all manner of swindlers and beggars.

      Everbloom Forest

A grand forest well outside the walls of the capital. Lies east of Regius.

      Residuum Steppes

The steppes (Small rolling hills) that lie south of Regius.

      Spera

A Town that lies far south of Regius.

      Salt Flats

Salt Flats west of Regius. Vast and expansive. The worth of the mineral deposits here is considerable, but where there are rich ores, there are also bandits.

      Rockhill District

A generally deserty and rocky region with lots of canyons and gorges. Lies north of Regius

      Kalkun, Rockhill District

A very small town with only few stone houses and an inn that serves as the town hall. Inn owner, Rosmerta, serves as a mayor.

      Neo Vegas

An oasis in the middle of a desert, Neo Vegas quickly thrived as a gambling heaven just like the Vegas in real world. Was established long ago before Tyruss' control, but the futuristic part of town is now in ruinous state and serves as a criminal center. The new Neo Vegas forms south of the futuristic ruin part. Most likely going to be under one of Tyruss' main city of activity.

      Mysdia Mountain Range

Dangerous Mountain Range to the far North West.

      Perditus Plains

A war-torn battleground ripe for scavenging. Thousands have fought and died here, and thousands more will. Within the Perditus Plains lies several ruined villages and towns that are known to be inhabited by bandits. It lies east of the Everbloom Forest.

      Adhibe

A trading hub on the easternmost edge of Perditus Plains. Unfortunately it's not very safe due to the bandits living on its doorstep.

I FORGOT TO CHANGE THE NAME HE'S NOT PHENOM

        Character's Name: Viruin Bellator

        Age: 19

        Sex: Male

        Type: Spellsword

        Faction: Speran Rebels (Leader)

Magic: Speed Magic (Greatly strains his body.)

        Primary Weapon: Scythe

        Secondary Weapon: Dagger

Other Equipment: belts carrying a few pouches with necessities in them.

History/personality: Viruin was born to a middle-class family and had a rather dull life. He always yearned for a more dramatic existence, but would never be graced with one for more than a day: The day his parents were killed in front of him and his little sister, Dulce. 15 and 9 respectively, Viruin and Dulce withdrew into their home as most of their close relatives were on the Amerigo Vespucci Mega Shuttle on the way to Mars. Using some of their inheritance, they both acquired Hive chips and a HiveNET subscription in and effort to escape the panging loneliness of being orphaned. They went everywhere and did everything together in the HiveNET, and Viruin never let his eyes off of Lachesis except when he logged out to make them dinner. Even then, she was never too far from his sight.

        Then Tyruss happened.

The siblings, who were together for 4 years, found themselves trapped inside the HiveNET and were soon taken to the hospital when a concerned neighbor noticed they stopped leaving the building and went to check on them, only to find their unconscious bodies. It wasn't long before Tyruss started hunting down potential threats. Living in the southwestern town of Fortuna, they were caught off guard when Tyruss raided the town. They took the villagers prisoner and began executing them one by one until they came upon Dulce clinging to Viruin. Since Dulce was next in line, they took her first.

They decided to be especially brutal the young orphan, beating her until she couldn't rise on her own, then forcing her up and slowly slitting her persona's throat in front of Viruin, forcing her to suffer every second of it. Viruin had heard that people who died remained in pitch darkness, forever between log-in and log-out. Dulce, still childish despite her age, was terrified of the dark to the point of having panic attacks whenever she was alone in the dark. Knowing that she would be trapped in that forever infuriated Viruin, and something inside of him snapped.

His body began vibrating so quickly that his wrists and ankles melted the binds that held them like a hot knife to butter. His body vibrated faster and faster before it generated a small explosion: A miniature sonic boom. This knocked his would-be executioner on his rear and forced him to drop his equipment, which Viruin promptly snatched up and used, proceeding to slaughter the company of 150 troops occupying Fortuna at a breakneck pace. Virtual blood flowed through the towns streets and stained his clothes in some places.

Since then, he created the Speran Rebels, based in Spera, swearing to demolish Tyruss's Empire for trapping his sister in a mental limbo.

Viruin is headstrong and reckless. He can be caring, but he rarely shows it anymore after seeing the fate it earned his sister.

        Appearance (Quick description or picture):
        Spoiler: New guy

Strengths: His greatest strength is his willingness to do anything it takes to dethrone Tyruss.

Weaknesses: Not a particularly good leader. Charismatic, maybe, but tactful, no. Combat-focused to a fault. He sometimes forgets that he's not the only one on the battlefield.

(Was told "Messiah" may need to be reworked. I'll kind of leave it the same, but if it gets removed, then he will be a soldier.)

Character's Name: Jason Stone (I don't feel like coming up with another name. Coming up with names is hard for me.)

            Age: 20

            Sex: Male

            Type: Mage

            Faction: Freelancer

            Magic: Speed

Primary Weapon:Two combat knives. Jason's father built these after the first encounter with Tyruss's men and based their design off of real-world knives. They are made from a Titanium alloy and are foldable. They have a spike on the bottom of the handle and can be used as a way to quickly incapacitate enemies. The spike is capable of piercing bone, so caution must be used when trying to incapacitate enemies in a non-lethal way. It also has an extra blade on the back of the handle, inside of the hook. This is used to cut ropes, belts, straps, and anything else that can fit in the slot.

            Image:
            Spoiler:

Secondary Weapon: A Chainsword (Clockwork Chainsaw). He doesn't use it often because it's powered by his magic. If he uses it for too long, it drains him. The chain needs to be moved by a trigger on the handle, but the very moment it gets momentum, he will use his speed magic to speed it up and maintain it. It is a very dangerous weapon, but also taxing to the user. Not only that, it also needs to be cleaned after use. It is the size of a Greatsword, but lightweight enough for a fit person to use. The sword has two handles. One for swinging, and one for stabilization. The handles are covered with black shock absorbing rubber. The trigger is located on the base of the swinging handle and is easy to reach, yet not invasive. The weapon used to originally be a Titanium Alloy chainsaw until Jason's father gutted it, installed a Titanium alloy gear system, bolted a giant Titanium Alloy blade, added a sword handle, and switched the chainsaw's blade and chain with Titanium alloy ones. The only thing left from the original chainsaw is the Titanium Alloy red painted chassis. Jason's father never got to finish the weapon's innards, so Jason modified it by adding the trigger to move the gears, to allow him to use his speed magic on it.

            Image:

Other Equipment: A leather harness with many belts, loops, and pouches (basically a utility belt), small steel spikes measuring in at 2 inches in length and 9 millimeters in diameter (He uses these things for just about anything), a toolkit with only the most versatile tools, small home-made explosives (can be very dangerous if he uses his magic on them), heat resistant gloves (welding/blacksmithing and doesn't wear them often), needles (uses them as picks and are very durable, due to the fact that he made them out of a Titanium alloy), and armor (see description/appearance).

History/personality: Jason's mother died in a car wreck when he was three, so he never really knew her. It was just Jason and his father Thomas. Jason Stone and his father entered the HiveNET when it was first introduced to the public. That being said, they had a lot of time to explore, and that was the first thing they did. They would always go on camping trips and try to live in the wild. One day, while Jason and his father were hiking, Jason's father fell into an underground cave. After looking around, he realized what he had stumbled upon. The sun shone through the hole to reveal a super strong, yet lightweight metal called Titanium. Jason's father had always been trying to provide for his son and now he could, so he decided to create a Titanium mine.

It took a while to clear the rock and set up shop, but after a couple of years, the mine was a success. They would get orders to build many items, whether it was a custom made ring, to a mech's armor plates. Whatever it was, they would work the metal for the job. This gave not only Thomas a mastery of metallurgy, but his son Jason as well. Jason always helped his father, always watched. Over the years, the land was named Aeterna and Jason grew up. Jason soon got more involved in the business and began to craft many items alongside his father. The forge was expanded and more people were hired to keep up with the growing demand for metal items.

One day, out of nowhere, Jason woke up to find that everything was off. He was no longer living in a modern house, he was living in a medieval looking one. Despite the anomaly, Jason and his father still thrived. Not only that, Jason and his father discovered that they had acquired magic. Thomas was granted the power of gravity, while Jason was granted the power of motion, speed magic. With these new abilities, they were able to make higher quality metals. Thomas used his manipulation of gravity to create super-dense, ultra-strong metals, while his son could not only mine faster, but also increase the heat of the furnaces, allowing them to refine more Titanium.

While Thomas was conservative about his use of gravity, his son Jason would use it for just about anything. He would use it to make himself run at absolutely blinding speeds, or even make the mundane awesome. He would speed up the flow of water, slow down a ball that he would toss into the air, and even jump off of cliffs and slow himself down to a stop. His constant use and abuse of his newfound abilities caused him to learn many exploits in them, and his creativity only boosted his skill. If it could move, he had played with its speed.

After a year or two, things took a turn for the worse. There was a strange group of people that said they worked for a man named Tyruss. They wanted to take the Titanium mine. Jason's father wouldn't allow it and told them to be on their way. The group of men wouldn't take no for an answer and tried to kill Thomas, but Thomas used his power over gravity and crushed them. Only one man made it out. That man retreated to gather more men and storm the mine.

Jason's father knew that there would be no other way, so he began to craft weapons and armor. He poured all of his knowledge, skill, and power into these weapons. Thomas began to create two knives, a clockwork chainsaw, a suit of armor, and a clockwork soldier.

Unfortunately, he only managed to create two knives, a clockwork chainsaw without a powersource, a couple parts for the clockwork soldier, and the boots and chestplate of the unfinished armor.

Tyruss's men came back with a large group and stormed the mine. Despite his best efforts, Thomas was slain and died protecting his livelihood and his son. Seeing the body of his father, Jason went into a rage. He yelled out as he grabbed everything in the forge and threw them at Tyruss's men, augmenting the items to move at hyper-sonic speeds, right through armor, flesh, and bone. Once it was all over, Jason was alone. His father was dead, the mine was in shambles, and more of Tyruss's men would investigate the disappearances. They would most likely kill him, so he did the only thing he could. He took the Titanium alloy items his father had made and abandoned the mine and his home. He buried his father, crafted a handful of items, and disappeared into the forest...

Jason is a fairly easygoing person and is very accepting toward those around him. He occasionally jokes and sometimes snarks about certain situations. He can be a little hot-headed, depending on his mood, but is a pretty patient and kind person overall.

Appearance: Dark brown hair to the point that it looks black, brown eyes, a tan skin tone, medium build, weighs 190 lbs, and stands at 5' 10''. He wears Tanker Boots that have Titanium Alloy plates on the toes and heels, loose fitting black leather pants with many pockets(not skin-tight, comfortable, slightly loose), a black sleeveless heavy-duty leather shirt with a reinforced front and a Titanium Alloy chestplate.

            Image:
            Spoiler:

(Only the chestplate. He will get the red cloth later.)

Strengths: He's smart, creative, strong willed, and physically strong, due to him working in the Titanium mines with his father. He is strong in body and mind, but prefers to think his way out of his problems. He is good at creating armor and weapons and enjoys building things. He is not a master of combat, but he is decent. He compensates for his sub-par combat skills by augmenting them with speed magic. He also loves to use his magic for just about anything, from slowing things down, to speeding them up to blinding speeds. He practiced with it ever since he first gained his magic abilities. He constantly pushes himself, always wanting to get better, and as a consequence, has gotten very proficient with it and is used to pushing his limits. He is also very good at surviving in the wild and living off the land, due to him and his father always going on camping trips and living in the woods. His Titanium Alloy items are lightweight compared to other metals, has a corrosion resistance comparable to that of Platinum (is almost corrosion-proof), very durable, and is highly heat and electrical resistant.

            Titanium Properties:
            Spoiler:

            Melting Point: 3034 °F (1668 °C)

            Boiling point: 5,948.6 °F (3287.0 °C)

Thermal Conductivity: 21.9 W·m−1·K−1 (Is a poor conductor of heat. Is heat resistant.)

Electrical Conductivity: Is a poor conductor. Allows only 3.1% of total electrical energy through itself. (Copper allows 100%, Stainless Steel allows 3.5%, and Aluminum allows 30%.)

Weaknesses: He can sometimes be reckless and stubborn. He also constantly abuses his magic and sometimes overuses it, causing strain to his body. He is inexperienced in combat and knows little about knife-work and sword-play. He tries to compensate for this by augmenting his combat capabilities with speed magic. He is also very sensitive about the death of his father.

              Name: Seki

              Age: 17

              Sex: Female

Type: SpellSlinger (Easily the hardest dissension I've had to make regarding an RP)

              Faction: Chaotic Neutral

              Magic: Fire

Primary Weapon: Seki's primary weapon is a bloodstained katana thats blade has been dulled over the cores of the year she's been using it. The dullness of the blade however only serves to further her foe's suffering. With her fire magic she can rappidly spin flames around the blade, the flames add a high burn damage to the wound causing to burn open even farther. Because of how this flame looks o the blade she calls this ability "Chainsaw-Sama"

Secondary weapon: NA Seki tends to use anything in her environment as a weapon by turning it into an explosive.

Other Equipment: Seki carries a small rag doll with her at all times, it seems to have a deep sentimental value to her. Apart from that she travels very lightly never wondering too far from her home in the forest.

History: Seki was born on the country side of japan. (May 13th 2110) Her father was a rice farmer and her mother a school teacher. Seki had always exhibited unusual behavior as a child, such as talking to imaginary friends and speaking udder nonsense. As an only child her parents didn't' have any other children to reference her too and assumed it was just a faze she would eventually grow out of.

On her fourth birthday her father and mother took her to the yokohama port festival. The festival was full of many different types of entertainment. Lion dancers, amateur performers and singers, but what fascinated her the most were the fire dancers. Hawaiian men and women lit two ends of a wooden stick ablaze and twirled them around, causing the fire to stretch in a dance of light and heat. Seki clapped and cheered as they did the finale where the dancers swallowed the flames only to spit them out again. She could have watched this for hours, but once the dance was over the preformers simply went back to browsing the area while the next act took the stage.

Seki however managed to run into one of the female fire dancers later on that evening. Her mother and father were taking her to get a late dinner when they met her at the buffet. Without a hint of shyness or worry the little Seki walked right up to the woman to ask her about the dance. Once her mother and father noticed her disappearance they quickly rushed over to grab her, apologizing to the female dancer for the inconvenience. The dancer simply smiled and told them it was no trouble. Seki talked to the woman all through meal time with a never ending barrage of questions, asking more questions faster than the dancer could answer, but she didn't seem to mind. She found it cute the way little Seki took such a liking to her and her art.

The kind hearted woman gave Seki a small rag doll with light blondish hair, a color similar to her own hair but not quite as fair. She wished her a happy birthday and hoped to see her again one day. Seki loved her doll very much, even giving it a name and a personality. She dubbed her Rikki and took her everywhere she went. A year or so passed and it was time for Seki to start school. The other children were rather mean to her, the bullied her because of her strange hair color and the girls ridiculed her for having such an ugly old doll as a toy. Yet through it all Seki just kept smiling and playing with her Rikki.

It didnt' matter what the other kids said or thought bout her, it was as though Seki didn't have a care in the world. That was of corse until one of the bullies took his teasing a step to far. The boy being taller than her, took the doll from her and raised it as high as he could above his head. Seki pleaded and begged for her doll back, it being the only thing that seemed to matter to her but the boy refused. to further taunt her he would hold Seki back with one hand and pound the rag doll's head into the wall or a desk while making a fake voice for the doll and pretending to beg Seki to rescue her. The boy finally took the doll in both hands and it looked as though he were going to rip off her head. In a sudden burst of anger and fear for the loss of her beloved Rikki, Sek snapped, lashing out at the boy by jabbing his own number 2 pencil deep into his left eye.

The boy dropped the doll and fell to the ground like a ton of bricks, holding the spot where his eye used to be in agonizing pain. Seki quickly grabbed hold of her doll and hugged it as tightly as she could, clinging to it as though it had been her own child in danger. The boy looked in shock with his one good eye as Seki spoke lovingly to the doll as though it were alive, even answering questions that the doll supposedly asked. His heart dropped when he heard her say "Don't worry i'll make sure he's never found." He tried to run but was suddenly knocked unconscious from behind. No one was quite sure how she did it but the next thing they knew the entire school was on fire. Several children were killed by the flames and the school had to be closed down due to how weak the structure had become.

When questioned Seki openly admitted to what she had done, even bragged about it as though she expected the adults to be impressed by her work. When asked she told them it was her doll that told her to do it. Seki was taken to a hospital for children with mental disorders. They studied her brain for about a month before Seki started showing violent behavior towards the other children, even going so far as to attempted murder. They moved her to an asylum wher she would spend the next ten yeas of her life in a straight jacket. She was diagnosed with schizophrenia and pyromania and she seemed to have been born with a defective frontal lobe. This meant while she had one and it could some what function it was very difficult for her concentrate and she had little fear or regret for anything she did. She had an extreme paranoia of most people which sent her into violent acts of aggression whenever confronted with another living being.

At the age of 15 a Hive chip was implanted in the girl's brain as part of an experiment to help doctors better understand the mind of a person with mental disabilities. Seki spent most of her time in this virtual world of her's unaware of her constant surveillance. When the time came and Tyruss had taken over Aeterna, the orderlies were no longer able to pull Seki out of this world. Some of them attempted to go in to instigate before they found out about what had happened but the moment they approached Seki, she killed them, burning them to ash before they could even beg for mercy. To many they were trapped in a virtual world but to Seki, this was freedom. She built herself a small home in the woods where she lived constantly surrounded by nature. She became a notorious criminal ranking high on Tyruss's most wanted list. She robbed and murdered anyone she came across that wasn't smart enough to get away from her. With no rules or restrictions she very quickly became one of the most deadly people wiithin the simulation, without and purpose or cause of her own she could be recruited by any of the factions with enough convincing. But how do you persuade a mad woman?

Personality: Seki is very impulsive and reckless. She lives a life without fear or hesitation giving her an edge against even adept soldiers in combat. She has no regard for the lives or feelings of the people she fights and will do anything to win. Weather or not she is "evil" is a matter of debate as she doesn't' seem to understand that what she's doing is wrong. She longs for attention and affection jsut as any child would but often chases away anyone crazy enough to try and be kind to her.

Appearance: Short white hair that goes too her shoulders, light skin, blue eyes, stands about 4,11, has a red jacket with dark gray skulls and hearts drawn all over it. Black leather pants with silver chains painted on them which wrap around the entire length of her pants. Black leather boots,

Strengths: Seki is a powerful fire mage, her greatest skill possibly being the range at which her magic can reach. There are mages more skilled than her in the art of casting fire but few can match her intensity. She's unable to use forbidden fire magic as it's concepts are far to complex for her simple mind, but she has every intention of learning it in time. Seki is no sword master, however she knows enough about her blade to know where to put it in order to kill her enemy. Seki usually only uses her sword when she needs to get up close and personal. Her strangest ability however is her sense of smell. Seki's nose can track a person like a hound dog and even smell through thick smoke thanks to months of practice. She's also very quick on her feet thanks to her light frame.

Weaknesses: Seki has plenty of battle experience to have an air of wisdom about it, however she doesn't have much knowledge outside of that. She can formulate a simple plan if she tries to but more often than not she rushes in recklessly and without strategy. She dislikes most people making it hard for her to find a friends, but there are a few out there capable of reaching her. Her memory of past events is sometimes faulty and her perception of how they occurred will differ from how they actually happened. In the heat of battle she will sometimes tank damage rather than avoiding it if she thinks her counter strike will due her enemy in. Lastly she is very gullible and will believe almost anything people tell her. More often than not she wont' care and simply kill the person anyway but there have been a few potential victims who tricked their way out of a painful death...err game over?...you know what i mean.

                  Character's Name: Ella "El" Reveck

                  Alias: "Duskstar" "Silver Moon"

                  Age: 27

                  Sex: Female

Type: Duelist - Uncanny with her blades, her ability to use her weapons in battle is unparalleled.

Faction: Freelancer (She acts on her own volition. In fact, she doesn’t want to be bound by a faction: less time to hunt for treasures then)

                  Magic:

While El has no innate magic, she has one ability: shadowstep.

Shadowstep allows El to “phase” from where she is to a nearby shadow in near instance. The destination shadow must be within 25 yards of El’s location when she’s casting it, and she can only use it every 10 minutes or so. She also expends a lot of energy by using Shadowstep, so she only uses it for combat and escape purposes.

                  Primary Weapon:

El uses a set of daggers in her combat, although she would rather try and escape a fight rather than confront it. She can use it for the usual hacking and slashing, although they are sometimes used for mundane tasks like picking locks and disarming traps.

The daggers El uses are rather common. They are cheap blades that can be bought from a local blacksmith of any dinky little village. She doesn’t really care for what she uses as a weapon, for she is skilled with any kind of blade.

                  Secondary Weapon:

El also uses consumable weapons such as throwables to advantage. These throwables include, but are not limited to: throwing daggers, shurikens, crude bombs, oil flasks, and caltrops.

                  Other Equipment:

El loves her hooded cloak. A lot.

El carries with her a copper compass. Unfortunately they don't even work half the time; spinning in random direction. She seeks to sell it to a scrapper and use the coins for something more useful for her.

                  History/personality:

Ella Reveck used to be a chef intern in Las Vegas, working for MGM hotel. Life was... okay, but a little bit dull. Her family were very conservative, Christian people who rejected technological advancements, calling them "The Devil's work". Ella's eldest brother followed the parents' teachings well, although Ella and her younger sister did not prefer an archaic way of lifestyle. So when Ella became 18, she claimed independence and moved to Las Vegas, with her sister following 2 years after.

There, in Las Vegas, Ella had several options. The path of becoming a chef, however, drew her in the most, even though her excellent body would've earned her a lot of money if she became a pole dancer. Ella attended Las Vegas' most prestigious culinary art academy, graduated in 2 years, and started working in MGM hotel as a chef intern.

Ella, however, was growing tired of her life. Having to stand in front of fire all day, assaulted by the chaotic cacophony of the kitchen and angry hollers of the sous-chef... it was hell on earth for a free-spirited girl like Ella. Thus, when Ella found out about HIVE, she immediately jumped into it, having a chip engraved into her head. She created a silver-haired rogue who did everything her parents told her not to do: wearing provocative clothing, roaming alone at night, slaying dastard villians (although they didn't say slaying evil people was a bad thing) who took advantage of others in HIVE. She loved her HIVE life. She was skilled with her daggers and her body; if one failed, the other would succeed. Eventually, Ella spent more time in HIVE than she did in real life.

Ella, or El now, is currently a treasure hunter and a rogue that acts on her own volition. She does not care for who rules the world: in fact, she is neutral about Tyruss' tyrant regime. She knows he needs to be stopped, but he also enjoys doing a lot of business with her regarding fancy treasures. As long as she's paid well, she's not going to immediately jump the bandwagon of becoming a rebellion.

She is infamously known as either "Duskstar" or "Silver Moon" by restless crowds who mistake her for a vicious bandit. She is nothing of that sort, however. She does not steal from the innocent, or kill helpless villagers for fun. In fact she does the opposite. If she comes across a village harassed by ruthless thugs, she will provide help to drive them away: steal from the rich, give to the poor, and all that... as long as she's paid well, of course.

El as a person is quite carefree. She is confident in her ability to escape, so even when backed into a corner, she is laid-back, which would piss off her aggressors even more.

El is not only proficient at escaping in physical combat, she is also vocally eloquent. She can haggle, persuade, and intimidate someone just by using right choice of words and voice tone. She is relentless, slow to anger, and is on the cheery side of the spectrum.

                  Appearance:

                  Spoiler:

                  Height: 174 cm (5' 8.5")
                  Weight: 55 kg (121.25 lb)
                  Hair Color: Silver/White
                  Eye Color: Yellow

El has her long silver hair hidden by her hooded cloak. Her eyes are yellow, and her pupils are a bit slit, giving her a slight cat-like appearance.

El is VERY fit. Her muscules aren't bulging like those berserker women, but she has very little body fat; all replaced with lean muscules that give her a healthy look, accentuated by her tanned skin.

El wears a rather titillating outfit to contrast how conservatively she was raised when she was a child. Other than the hooded cloak she loves oh so much and a belt that stores her daggers, she wears very little else.

                  Strengths:

El made herself an agile rogue character, and thus she is fast. Really fast. It is said that in the night, the only thing you can see is the silver streaks her dagger emits as she silently travels.

El is a master in using bladed weapons, specifically daggers, knives, and short swords. She was already proficient to begin with thanks to her previous real life as a chef intern.

El is also very skilled in escaping from sticky situations. However, even a monkey can fall from the tree, as her situation will reveal in her intro post.

                  Weaknesses:

El is relatively weaker in brute strength than most people, although she can pull her own weight thanks to her lean physique.

El is also crippled in the presence of cute things like kitties and puppies. She will squeal and stop to appreciate the adorableness, which could give her assailants some time to catch her off guard. Another time to catch her is when she used her Shadowstep; she will be left a bit drained of energy, which can give her opponents a ripe time to take advantage of her.

                        Character's Name: Sidna Sarien

                        Age: 24

                        Sex: Female

                        Type: Commander Spellslinger

                        Faction: Tyruss' Legion

                        Magic:
                        Balanced Wind Magic

Sidna is definitively not the power types when it comes to magic. Instead she uses various materials and tricks together with her wind. A lot of her tactics involve scaring the opponent and then go from there. Thus she doesn't have to work as hard to win. In addition to that, Sidna also uses her magic to replicate other types of magic such as guiding the air sound traverses in for example. Because of all of this, Sidna is not widly known as a wind magician, instead she is known as a fire magician, seeing as fire is her favorite element to replicate.

                        Primary Weapon:
                        Metallic "Magic" staff

While in reality only a staff with mechanical inner workings, it appears as a magical staff to an outside viewer. In reality it is another place where she store the different materials she uses with her magic. It's main purpose is fire and gasses, but it also holds a few other tricks.

Secondary Weapon: One handed "Magic" sword

While she doesn't always use it. Sidna always carry around a sword in case things go bad. Like with her staff, the sword have a few mechanical inner workings helping her with her magic, but unlike with the staff, the sword only has a single chamber where she can put stuff, to make sure the sword isn't to fragile. (It is however slightly more fragile than a normal sword).

Other Equipment: A letter belt with different pounces and similar.

In addition to the sword and the staff, Sidna always try to carry around a few extra materials with her that she can use with her magic or in battle, both dust or as a gas. Some examples are ammonia, copper, iron and sand. While most of the things she carry around are for her magic, she also carry around things that she can use in close combat, like sand or chili. She may also carry around a small fire starter if she feels that something is not right in case the staff does not work.

In addition to that, she also have more weapons and materials in her house, such as a staff outfitted with a small generator.

History/personality: In the outside world, Sidna was living a rather boring life. She had the job as a chemist and that was basically it. While she wasn't naturally gifted as a chemist or anything like that, she was rather good. Due to her boredom, she was one of the early adopters of the Hive. While she had originally planned to try to move to mars in a years, since then, those plans have been completely thwarted. Now she is just trying to live safely in this new world. She found that the safest way to do so was to work under Tyruss. At the same time she continued with her chemistry.

When Aeterna was first taken over by Tyruss, Sidna didn't really know what to do. While it was true that her real life was boring, she still wanted the possibility to go back to it if she wanted. She didn't want to live with the knowledge that the next day might be her last. Around a week or two later, Sidna was taken into Tyruss' legion. While she had heard that Tyruss' men did terrible things, she hadn't witnessed too much herself. The only real reason why she accepted was because she was promised at least some level of protection there. She didn't really have too much intention on helping them.

Her first mission there was easy, she was to go to some town and then make sure that they knew who the new boss was. She was sent to the town together with 3 other. Nothing could have prepared Sidna for what she actually witnessed. Their orders were to make sure that the villagers knew who was the boss, however what happened was that the men killed many of the people of the village for what seemed like joy. In the end a fight broke out, Sidna didn't really know what side to take. She didn't want to side with Tyruss' men, but she couldn't side with the villagers either. It was here that she first discovered her magic. She wished for that Tyruss' men would just fall over dead. After a few seconds one of them did, and at the same time, it looked like the other two had problems breathing. In the end, she and another one of Tyruss' men survived. There were talks about the village having a wind magician.

After that, Sidna decided that she needed some other way to scare people, because it was obvious that she would have to do that. Using her knowledge as a chemist, she developed her first magic staff. It was a mechanical staff with a chamber for gas inside, and a fire starter at the top. Using this she managed to mimic fire magic for a long time, seeing as fire was much more frightening than wind. As time progressed she replaced the original staff and built many more weapons and staffs, and in general got much better at her trickery. At the same time she rose steadily in rank. She was known for showing mercy to people, something she earned a negative reputation for, but Sidna herself didn't care much. The guy that accompanied her at the first mission, and a few others that could potentially have knowledge off how far she would go were all captured during later missions.

Sidna is a person that puts her survival before anything else. If being nice doesn't harm her survival chance, then she is mostly a nice person. She does however have the ability to appear mean if she want to. If her survival depends on it, she can push away every inch of humanity that she have. She have for the most part a good amount of control over her feelings. Other than that she is rather carefree, and a slight bit curious.

                        Appearance:
                        Spoiler:

Yes I took the image from there. Any problem with that?

Strengths: As she is very varied in her attacks, it can make her a difficult opponent to read. She is also good at forming different strategies. In addition to that, she does have a bit of wordsmith skill that she have acquired during her time in Aeterna, making it easier for her to decieve others.

Weaknesses: As most of her power comes from her various strategies and all of her different materials, if she is without that, she is far from the strongest magician. Sidna has had a large focus on using diverse magic. When it comes to raw strength and no time to prepare she is similar to a spellsword in magic strenth. She also needs some time to prepare stronger magic.
