    [Concept Phase] H4X S1GN

Ok so I'd thought I'd try my hand at this...as a side to minigame making...

H4X S1GN is a substory to my main "Eternal Galaxy Project" story and is the more Touhou oriented part of the whole thing.

Because I haven't really made a true plotline for H4X S1GN, it's mainly just a skeleton story which I think would work well for RP, since I have only a rough Idea of how it should go.

    --~~Basic Plot~~--
The story takes place in a "prosperous" city in the distant future. The story follows 2 groups of people who went through a process called 'Erasure' where their entire identities, lives, and sometimes memories are wiped clean to the point where, by any standards of government, they don't exist. Team PALADIN and WRAITH are the two groups who share sort of a sibling rivalry that slowly turned to open hostility. PALADIN includes Grey, Larunda, Kratos, and Nero. Memebers of WRAITH on the other hand disappeared. The only active member of Wraith that is presently still "on the grid" is known by most members of PALADIN as 'Captain,' but Nero knows him as Cicero. Before hostilities between the two teams became prevalent, Cicero and Nero were the only means of contact between them as they were the only hackers in the two groups skilled enough to keep communications hidden from any security system.

The people behind the formation of the two teams initially sought to destroy them soon after, as they saw the experiment with Erasure as too dangerous to continue. However, when they went to hunt them down, there were no leads, no trails, no sign of the two teams. They knew of the hostility and assumed they may have destroyed each other, but they remained skeptical. However, Cicero and Nero took steps to make sure no action would be taken against the teams and thus completed the destruction of any records of the existence of PALADIN and WRAITH.
Team PALADIN and Cicero became ghosts in the city, the two hackers kept them off the grid and made it possible for them to obtain basic necessities since everything was computerized and, being two of the best hackers in the city, made everything accessible to them.

They lived always on the move and took on the role of invisible vigilantes at times. Though PALADIN, under the tactical advice of Nero, has one main goal. Eliminate, and erase the corruption in the city. Nero's and Cicero's memories were not completely erased. The hackers know of potential targets that may lead to the source of all corruption in the city. Grey leads Team PALADIN by the advice of Nero to actively eliminate these targets. Cicero continuously tries to piece together the puzzle of where, or who, the source of corruption is and aids Team PALADIN from the shadows by hacking into systems to make any attacks on targets move smoothly. However, he knows that Grey would not hesitate to hunt down a member of WRAITH as by his definition, went rogue and is a threat and may be used by the corrupt. Thus Cicero does not reveal himself to Team PALADIN, save for Nero.

    --~~~~--

So that's what I mainly have right now. I want to know what ppl think (to figure out if this may go over well or just go overboard and drown) before I follow through with this.

On top of what I'm setting up for RP for this, I have this:

    H4X S1GN

    Chapter 1
The transparent roads were alight with a soft orange glow. Giant monitors throughout the city announced the awaited concert to be held at the main stage of the city. People scurried slowly along the roads; faces partially covered by thick air filtration and purification scarves. The band members, three sisters, took to the stage, with its air purification systems humming lightly. The crowds slowly filed in from the streets. Some, who didn’t wish to get caught up in the bustle, found places among the tall buildings to rest and pull out a small device that can fit easily into the palm, the latest in computer technology, the Computer Interface Protocol Access Device. Little holographic displays popped into existence from the CIPAD, lighting up pale faces in the dim city. As everyone watched their personal screens intently waiting for the show to start one man kept walking. Dark HUD glasses and AFPScarf, despite being pulled down slightly, hid his face. His stride was resolute and unwavering. Measured and exact, his pace was synchronized to a mental timer. His HUD chimed quietly and highlighted a face of a man heading his way. He reached into a pocket, gripping a small medical injection device gently. The concert had started and the lights fluctuated with the music.
    ***
Another man sat propped against a window in an abandoned building, caressing an old fashioned bolt-action sniper rifle. His gloved fingers expertly loaded the modified chamber with a specially designed medical injection bullet. He scanned the alley below for any form of activity, the lights synchronized with the music making hypnotic pulsing patterns on the streets. He adjusted his black hat casually, trying to steady his breathing.
    ***
A young girl slowly made her way through the backstage area, listening for the sound of a door near her that would unlock, signaling which way she needed to go next. Another turn and she reached her destination. Three rooms, labeled as the temporary housing of the 3 sisters currently performing. She slipped in and pulled out an CIPAD rigged with a medical dispenser and placed the device on the drinking water pipe hidden behind the refrigerator in each room.
    ***
In a dark room, a man busied himself typing in strings of code in multiple CIPADs at once. A device pressed against his temple aided him in the superhuman task by partially reading his thoughts. Each CIPAD had to be manipulated exactly and precisely in order to prevent a stray strand from alerting the systems he was tapped into. The mission depended on it.
    ***
    ---~to be continued~---

Oh and this is what I was listening to as I was writing this...

*cough* the three sisters are definitely not the *cough*Prismriver*cough* sisters

It sounds interesting... but what is the 'goal?'

Aion leads Team PALADIN by the advice of Nero to actively eliminate these targets. Cicero continuously tries to piece together the puzzle of where, or who, the source of corruption is and aids Team PALADIN from the shadows by hacking into systems to make any attacks on targets move smoothly. However, he knows that Aion would not hesitate to hunt down a member of WRAITH as by his definition, went rogue and is a threat and may be used by the corrupt. Thus Cicero does not reveal himself to Team PALADIN, save for Nero.
I'm going to say it's sorta a classic scenario where the "bad guys" are called The Corrupt. labeled by Team PALADIN as the evil of the city, they take it upon themselves to do what they did to them. Erase them from existence. They believe it was The Corrupt who organized the Erasure of Team PALADIN and Team WRAITH. Cicero and Nero try to piece together clues as to who is truly responsible.

EDIT: just to also point out, I always create the ending to stories first... So I do have more but I dun wanna reveal spoilers.

Ok quick rough thing of the characters' bios

EDIT: Changed some names in the OP

          Aion -> Grey
          Eleos -> Kratos
          Kiara -> Larunda

          ---------------------

          Grey

Talents: A trained swordsman and natural born leader. Before Erasure he was a mercenary.

          Weapons / Starting Gear:
          - Shield-sheath Sword. Seems like a part of his coat, thus blends in with the crowds.
          - CIPAD: standard issue computer device. Modified by Nero to be more secure
          - HUD glasses
          - Air Purification and Filtration Scarf
          - Trench-coat styled camo jacket: specially designed to adapt to any environment.
          - Team PALADIN signature Poison injector. Contains a poison that is undetectable by most means as it was "Erased" from existence as well. Only Nero and Cicero know how to make it anymore.

          Flaws:
          - Determination makes him somewhat stubborn

          Appearance:
          - Grey "Wolf-cut" hair
          - sharp features, almost appears sculpted
          - fire-red eyes.
          - black coat and pants and grey, with slight red details, shirt

Personality: Patient in most scenarios with a iron determination. Calm and observant. His movements are exact and resolute, just as his decisions.

Morality: He is just with a savage disposition towards any wrongs. He puts aside traditional morals when on a mission, knowing some targets are not of The Corrupt, but are necessary to eliminate to Erase The Corrupt from existence.

Biography: Before Erasure, Grey was a mercenary who escorted archeological teams to sites. He would help the teams with odd jobs as he was curious about the past of the City.

          -------------

          Kratos

Talents: An elite marksman and trained assassin. He says he never misses a shot, yet when asked about his hit rate, he states it's 99.99%...

          Weapons / Starting Gear:
          - Custom Old-fashioned Bolt-action Sniper Rifle. Belonged to his ancestor. Incredibly powerful and silent. It can even fire special tank piercing rounds.
          - CIPAD: standard issue computer device. Modified by Nero to be more secure
          - HUD glasses
          - Air Purification and Filtration Scarf
          - Leather Jacket: No function...seems to have a certain western charm about it.
          - Team PALADIN Modified Poison injector. Contains a poison that is undetectable by most means as it was "Erased" from existence as well. Only Nero and Cicero know how to make it anymore. Bullet specialized: able to be applied to bullets or even a clip.

          Flaws:
          - A womanizer by nature...he likes to hang out at bars which makes it tricky for Nero and Cicero to keep him at "Erased" status

          Appearance:
          - messy black hair underneath his Fedora.
          - Scruffy features, looks like he came out of an old Western.
          - Sharp-green eyes.
          - dark brown coat and ragged jeans with chain links and gun holsters and dark red shirt

Personality: Sharp wit and even sharper eyesight. He can think fast on his feet and can smooth talk out of most situations. Despite his joking and "charming" nature, he tends to be agitated when nothing exciting is going on

Morality: He has an incredible sense of right and wrong, even though he sometimes doesn't follow it himself. He is not afraid of taking a shot even if the possible collateral damage is severe.

Biography: Before Erasure, Kratos would be found going between sub sections of The City, being hired as a body guard. He knew very little of his past and always sought answers.

          -------------

          Larunda

Talents: A skilled technician and a rookie physician. "Fixing people is no different from fixing machines. right?" - Larunda

          Weapons / Starting Gear:
          - A small knife not suited for combat.
          - CIPAD: standard issue computer device. Modified by Nero to be more secure
          - HUD glasses
          - Air Purification and Filtration Scarf
          - Medical Supplies.
          - Team PALADIN Emergency Poison injector. Contains a poison that is undetectable by most means as it was "Erased" from existence as well. Only Nero and Cicero know how to make it anymore. Emergency type: has two types of poison: instant and standard.

          Flaws:
          - Young and inexperienced, she is against violence and is easily scared

          Appearance:
          - short blue hair with red bead ornament.
          - Soft features.
          - Deep sapphire blue eyes.
          - black half coat and piece-work shirt with white trim.

Personality: Young and sometimes cheerful. Easily flustered.

Morality: A heart made of gold. She is the very definition of a kind hearted person.

Biography: No one knows what she was like before Erasure... More mysterious than Cicero and Nero.

          -------------

          Nero

Talents: A hacker who says his only equal is Cicero, and that there is no one else that can rival his skills. Also capable small weapons, such as daggers.

          Weapons / Starting Gear:
          - A dagger that has a poisoned edge.
          - CIPAD: standard issue computer device. Heavily modified to the point where it could almost be considered not a CIPAD.
          - HUD glasses w/ Mind Portal Technology (allows him to use computers by thought)
          - Air Purification and Filtration Scarf
          - Various computer supplies, cables, and old fashioned lock picks.
          - Team PALADIN Emergency Poison injector. Contains a poison that is undetectable by most means as it was "Erased" from existence as well. Only Nero and Cicero know how to make it anymore. Emergency type: has two types of poison: instant and standard. Nero Specialized: Can be used as a gas grenade.

          Flaws:
          - He is confident in his abilities, which means he sometimes goes into the field to work on a mission. However, he is not as agile as the others.

          Appearance:
          - short grey hair with black bandana.
          - dark features, which to most make him seem psychotic.
          - orange/brown eyes.
          - black vest jacket and blue shirt with khaki cargo pants.

Personality: Quiet, speaks only when necessary. Has a tendency to "surprise"/scare people because of it.

Morality: No one is truly certain, he appears to be just but his nature tends to point out a "don't care as long as me and my team survive" attitude.

Biography: Nero is one of the few who's memories were not completely erased. He was a legendary hacker with outrageous stories surrounding his accomplishments.

In b4 this dies off, I would like to bring in the concept of how this would work:

            Anyone played the board-game Clue?

Ok so this is what I would want to see: ppl make like say 5 characters. Conspire behind my back on who would wind up being related to or in contact with who. Then bring the characters to the RP. I would take on the roles of Cicero and I would need someone to be Nero ( Or I take on both ) The way this would work is I would draw up a "conspiracy/connections board and try to figure out who is The Corrupt and who are rogue WRAITH members.

            ------THE CHALLENGE
Organize a group of characters that would lead to one "Corrupt Leader" which from there I would lead to the final part of my story.
            It has to contain:

Lead Characters: People who have 1 or more connections to another.

Dead-End Characters: People who have either no more connections or just loop back to others based on what you reveal about them through subtle clues (documents that aren't on compters etc.) They can be Corrupt, WRAITH or Innocent...or even in a plot twist PALADINS who Nero and Cicero never knew about.

Informational Characters: A character that can be introduced to add another satellite connection to others. Might make it more complex.

            ------THE GAME
works like this: you guys figure out what characters are doing and figure out what communications would be made between characters in the Main thread which, dependent on what happens would mobilize Team PALADIN and WRAITH (Cicero).

So it would be like a survival game where you guys try to be like CEOs of big corporations and yer black mailing rivals and suddenly someone uses a computer network to contact you and of course anything via computer would alert Nero and Cicero so Team PALADIN and WRAITH would begin to work out a plan to eliminate you. Of course Team PALADIN and WRAITH could also make mistakes (get seen in public and having a transaction for getting supplies getting intercepted before Nero and Cicero can wipe it from servers.)

SO ...is this crazy or blah?

Ok I'm ready to let this die off now and slip into nothingness
...but I'm curious what's lacking for this to be something worth while? Am I missing details? Should I have finished writing the book, then came here and see if I could tweak it to become an RP? Is it the lack of in depth details that I deliberately left out not enticing anyone with any form of creative thought to create art on the skeletal frame that is awaiting the strokes of the brush of beautiful words? Was I backwards in doing such a thing?

I await an answer so that I can rest the weary thought.

Bah, don't feel bad. It's just the activity of other rps. For god's sake, my rp (not to sound arrogant) was almost perfect. It was meant for rp-ers of all kinds, those who like using magic, those who don't, it's a life threatening situation, the story was sad... It's just the activity.

Maybe I'm still too used to the big forums like PSO-W where ya post something anywhere in any of the current sections (like PSO2 or PSZ sections)...and depending on what ya post will see either 5 or thousands of posts in a matter of seconds or minutes respectively.

but still, I wanna know what this might be lacking cause I doubt it's just the "activity" of the other 2.

EDIT: I have a hunch....I think it's cause the fact there's no magic involved.
