"Aye......" Nero responded without moving, thus talking into the floor. He reached up and grabbed her hand and pulled himself up. "Women...they're going to-" Nero then realized the person that helped him up was a woman. "Uhm...uh...please tell me you don't know who I am...I already have enough people trying to take advantage of me being the head defense coordinat- oh shoot. YOU DIDN'T HEAR THAT!" He then ran off to the kitchen area.
"Yo Nero! What's- ...and he's gone." Joe, who had took off after Nero when he left the group, walked up to where Mara was. "Ah...say, miss, mind if I ask what got into him just then?"

At first, the man took hers with ease as he was saying something about women and apologized seeng she was a female too, but then he started rambling something and fled like a maniac
It was awkward indeed, but in the back of her mind was still the idea of being alienated. Thankfully the ched asked what was going on so she answered what she knew
"I don´t know, he just tripped on his foot and rambled some stuff of he being of some high rank area, then he stopped like if he said the wrong thing and ran to your direction" Mara said with a calm yet worried tone

Joe heard the explanation and had to laugh. "Hahaha! Two women take advantage of him being the Head Defense Coordinator and now he's gone paranoid! I'll have to ask Kiara if this is normal for him...anyway..." Joe shook his head and doing so caught sight of the device Mara was working on. "Hm? Say that's interesting...never seen anything like that before..."

its better a show instead of words" the bioroid said pointing her portal gun to the floor shooting a portal next to her and another one near the table. Walking towards the table, the white haired led the tray fall to one portal and it jumped on the second one and so the loop kept going for another three jumps until she took the tray again and gave it to the man
its still a prototype, but im getting the hang on it" Mara finished

I'm sorry, but I will not land there where I might be trapped, don't take offense, I did not survive this long by trusting everyone. I will follow your ship to wherever you need me to go to talk to this person." Once said, Nhiome established a lock on the Gamma class battle cruiser, as he was sure they were doing right now, just in case he tried to run. But he kept his word and fell in just behind the cruiser. He then checked his remote and was assured that the ships were where they were supposed to be.

Mima didn't even notice the whole scenario, instead focused on devourering a bag of popcorn she seemingly got from nowhere.

Sometimes when you're driving down a road, a bug hits your windshield. It's ugly and unpleasant, but you just activate the wipers / cleaning fluid and it's gone in a few seconds. It's just part of driving down the road. You don't dwell on it, because that'd be silly. Bugs aren't worth the time.
You just discard their guts and keep on driving.

Once John was inside, he placed Cortana into the AI Holodeck and and put away his new "Multi-weapon" and medium sized Digital Bag. He looked at the controls and saw that more functions had been installed.
"Wow. I think this would rival some of the Forerunners' technology.", Cortana said as she began to run diagnostics on the ship, recording all of the ship's new parameters.
John sat in the seat and looked out of the cockpit window and nodded at the lead mechanic below, as if to say goodbye. After a couple of minutes, John activated the ship's thrusters and flew it off the ground and up into the sky.
Once they were in the sky, Cortana placed a waypoint on John's HUD, directing him to where the warp gate was.
