As soon as the Shinx appeared, John grabbed Aegis's Pokeball and threw it towards the wild Pokemon. Luckily for John, Pokeballs functioned similarly to Plasma Grenades. All he had to do was press the button and throw it. Right as the Pokeball reached the highest point in it's arc, it opened and a large, red bolt of energy surged out to the ground, releasing Aegis into the battle.
"Aegis, attack the Shinx.", John said, not knowing that he had to call out a move.

Renamon didn´t hesitate and sent her partner to the bidoof "Dia! use gust" she commanded
"This time I´ll show everyone that I can do it" the combee said sending strong gusts from her wings

Sinnoh Region - Route 217
"Grav- why you!" The Graveler grunted as the snowy wind inhibited his speed. "You'll pay!"
The Graveler curled up into a ball. Due to the slope, the boulder began tumbling down towards Snow and Koishi.
"Get flattened up! Rollout!"

Thankfully, Aegis knew what to do. He rushed towards Shinx with all his might and struck. Unfortunately, Bidoof took the Tackle hit for Shinx.
Diana didn't do so hot either. The gust attack was to land at Bidoof, but Shinx took it for him. Since Shinx was electric type, Gust didn't do much damage.
As Bidoof gathered his power for counterattack, Shinx glared menacingly at Diana, lowering her defense. Then, Bidoof crashed at Diana dealing a lot of damage.
"Those wild pokemons grew to become a team." Cynthia observed. "You two are going to have to work as a team to be able to beat them."

John was slightly frustrated that he had no idea what to do. He knew how to form strategies, the only problem for John was that he didn't know what Aegis was capable of. Thankfully, he still retained some of his Spartan reaction time, allowing him to quickly come up with a solution ho his problem. John quickly opened up his Pokedex HUD and looked at Aegis's condition.
Aegis (Aron) / Male / Level: 5 / Nature: Adamant / Ability: Sturdy
Moves: Tackle / Harden

Koishi moved out of the way, while Snow seemingly stood there.

Sometimes when you're driving down a road, a bug hits your windshield. It's ugly and unpleasant, but you just activate the wipers / cleaning fluid and it's gone in a few seconds. It's just part of driving down the road. You don't dwell on it, because that'd be silly. Bugs aren't worth the time.
You just discard their guts and keep on driving.

Taking the chance to be protected by the aaron, Diana prepared her next attack which she knew to take advantage of the situation "Thinking the same as me Renamon? the combee asked
"Yeah, Diana, let´s make them wobble around, use sweet scent on them Dia" the fox nodded to the pokemon´s idea
the combee used showered the zone of the shinx and bidoof with the alluring smell, yet she avoided Aegis just in case

The clones from Snorunt took the hit from Graveler's Rollout, but the Graveler was no joke. He immediately followed up with Tackle to deal damage to Snow.
"I've trained myself to the likes of you!" The Graveler triumphantly snorted. "There's no chance you can beat me!"

Snow staggered back from the blow, while Koishi pulled out one of the pokeballs she had gotten.
"I hope this will work..." Koishi whispered quitely to herself, before throwing the pokeball out, the Graveler getting sucked in.

After seeing how his plan worked, John got another idea. When the wild Pokemon attacked again, John would have Aegis counterattack with a tackle. If this worked, then the battle would be over faster.
"Aegis, use the same tactic. If Shinx tries to attack Diana and gets within a very close range, Tackle it.", John said.
