Unova Region - Nuvema Town

Hidden Phantom or just Phantom was in Nuvema Town. He was peacefully laying down on a tree branch just outside of the Pokemon Lab.
Phantom had already liked this world so far. He has only been to this town and the neighboring Accumula Town once before, but the places seemed really peaceful. Coming from a guy who had been through what seemed to be an endless war with more the a million of lives lost...
That was all in the past though... Here Phantom has a new start. A place to start over... yet how? He already learned about Pokemon from eavesdropping on Professor Juniper's conversations with others about Pokemon, yet he never caught one. He had only seen a few Pidove's flying by in the morning, and a few Woobat's flying by at dusk. He also saw the occasional Patrat, and even a Lillipup. He had heard that the world is dangerous, and that it is preferred to have a Pokemon with you if you wish to travel safely... Phantom may has his training of a Ninja, but he doesn't have any of his weapons at all. He can't even use his Clone technique. He can easily escape from a battle with his training, however it would be preferred if he had a Pokemon of his own to protect him if he decides to travel...
"I suppose if I want to obtain a Pokemon I should ask the Pokemon Professor herself... she might have one for me..." He said quietly to himself as he jumped out of the tree. He then made his way to the nearby Juniper's Lab.

The Pokemon Laboratory in Nuvema City was nothing like the other laboratory Phantom would've been aware of. It was more like a zoo if anything. Scientists, cold and unsympathetic in other worlds, were amiable and enthusiastic, engaging with their test Pokemon in friendly manners. In the midst of them were Professor Juniper.
Professor Juniper was an energetic professor with brown hair swirled up and tied in a bun. She wore a traditional white lab coat on top of white undershirt and green skirt. Her cyan eyes seemed to fire up whenever she was undergoing a research or an experiment.
Noticing that she had a guest, Professor Juniper walked towards Phantom with a Lillipup in her arms.
"Good evening!" Professor Juniper greeted. "How can I help you today?"

Phantom was astounded by how the place was. It was actually pretty heartwarming seeing scientists actually being kind, and respectable. The Pokemon here were treated pretty well in fact. Phantom however did not smile. He was mostly shocked and confused by how the place was.
He was used to the cold, and unsympathetic scientists of his world. The scientists here actually gave the Pokemon freedom.
That's when he noticed the Professor walk up to him.
"Oh hello ma'am. I came here because..." He said as he thought for a moment. He forgot about why he came to the lab after being surprised by the place. Though after a few minutes of thinking he looked up at the Professor.
"I came here in search of a Pokemon... I heard that you give out Pokemon to those who wish to begin a journey in this land correct?..." He said in a somewhat emotionless, yet oddly kind tone.

"Thank you." Koishi replied. Her inner mind wanted to say that she was wasn't a child, but her common sense kept that in check. She looked around, seeing that there was a large exhibition of gems and precious artifacts, which intrigued her, but the reall thing she looked at was in the back, which was a selection of fossils from many different regions. There were fossils of shells of sea creatures, plants, even claws, skulls, and pieces of a jaw could be seen. Koishi looked at them with the utmost intrigue, tilting her head and examining the fine details of the fossils.

Sometimes when you're driving down a road, a bug hits your windshield. It's ugly and unpleasant, but you just activate the wipers / cleaning fluid and it's gone in a few seconds. It's just part of driving down the road. You don't dwell on it, because that'd be silly. Bugs aren't worth the time.
You just discard their guts and keep on driving.

Following the armored guy, the combee couldn´t help but say "It is quite funny to be the center of attention, many people are looking at us as if we were circus people or something"
Renamon smiled at the thought "Well, we aren´t the most common folks to be seen in these areas" she spoke while looking at the ticket they got with the clown
(Damn.. my fatigue is still affecting me)

John continued to walk, listening to Renamon and Diana's conversation. To John, people staring at him didn't matter. He was used to being stared at by people. Sometimes, it was because they were amazed by him, while at other times, they were intimidated. Such was the life of a Spartan-II super-soldier. The looks the locals were giving the group were no less insignificant than back in his universe. The only reason he was tense before was because he didn't know what kind of weaponry and disposition they had. Now, he knew that they were relatively peaceful and seemed to have no weapons. If they did, then John guessed that they were bullet-based weapons.
