Koishi silently followed behind Roark, simply wondering why this man was acting so kind for no reason. In fact, it seemed a lot of people were like that. It made her wish Gensokyo was like that.

Sometimes when you're driving down a road, a bug hits your windshield. It's ugly and unpleasant, but you just activate the wipers / cleaning fluid and it's gone in a few seconds. It's just part of driving down the road. You don't dwell on it, because that'd be silly. Bugs aren't worth the time.
You just discard their guts and keep on driving.

Roark's house was a small cottage next to the gym. The cottage was humble yet not decrepit, simple yet not destitute. The roof was a gable roof made with small tiles of wood woven together. The wood wall was stained with years of service, while the door looked brand new. The sullen girl was waiting for her brother by the doorsteps. When she noticed Koishi, she harumphed and looked away as Roark opened the door.
"Welcome to our humble abode." Roark smiled apologetically as he let the girl in. "Sorry about Emily's attitude: ever since her parents passed away and was sent to live here, she's been very reclusive."

"Yea I learned how to catch Pokemon alright. The thrill of a battle is always exciting, and anticipation to see whether or not your catch was successful is quite heart pounding." Chung replied to Norman as he remembers one thing. "OH CRAP I STILL NEED TO GET A BAG!" He said as smacks his forehead with his hand.

"You must've had a rough life to be used to Emily." Roark laughed. "Let's see... How to make a miso soup-"
CRASH-
"What the-" Roark looked out the window as Emily descended the staircase to the attic, her eyes wide in alert. At the gate of the Gym stood three burly bike gang members, spitting on ground and shouting, "Where are you!"
"Oh no..." Roark grimaced as he grabbed his Pokeballs. "I'll be right back. Emily, keep Koishi safe."
"Alright." Emily nodded, her voice creamy and regal.
"Good luck with that." Yuuka snickered as she left. "Well, I'm heading off. It's late."

"That is I." Roark nodded.
"We've come to take your badge!" The left biker yelled.

Despite everything, Lyrica was still clueless on what she really should do next. What would be the most efficient way to train up Diggy and Mystia? Also she had to consider making a complete team...
