Sometimes when you're driving down a road, a bug hits your windshield. It's ugly and unpleasant, but you just activate the wipers / cleaning fluid and it's gone in a few seconds. It's just part of driving down the road. You don't dwell on it, because that'd be silly. Bugs aren't worth the time.
You just discard their guts and keep on driving.

"What was that?" Emily looked outside to find that Roark was losing by a margin. Both his Geodude and Onix were down, and his only Pokemon, Cranidos, was in bad shape as well. "Dammit, we gotta help Roark out!"

Snow nodded in response as Koishi headed outside, waking up the little Omanyte, who watched the situation start to unfold.
"Ey, leave 'em alone." Koishi said, SNow hopping down to beside Koishi.

Johto Region - Goldenrod City
Leaf and Crystal lived in the University of Johto Goldenrod dormitory. Their dorm was the display of two opposite spectrum: with Crystal's side of the dorm consisting of pink wall paint decorated with posters of boy bands and idols and Leaf's side garnished with gorgeous artworks and books of various subjects.
"We have another mattress that we've been meaning to throw away." Crystal said. "I'll prepare it so you can sleep on it for today."
"I'm going to start packing." Leaf announced.

"The hell?" The middle punk looked at Koishi. "Get out of here, kid. This is dangerous."
"We're not kids!" Emily growled behind Koishi. "You don't look too old either!"
"Why you cheeky-" The right punk grunted. "Go, Ekans!"
A purple snake Pokemon with yellow rings across its' slender body slithered across the field. Its' eyes glared at Emily and Koishi with malice.
Ekans Lv: 12
"Go, Glameow!" The left punk joined the battle, sending a gray, lithe cat into battle.
Glameow Lv: 9
"If you want to fight, I'm here!" Emily frowned, throwing her own Pokeball. From it, a blue baby dinosaur with dark fur emerged. "Koishi, was it? Help me out!"
Deinos Lv: 12

"Glameow, Faint Attack!" The left punk ordered. The lithe gray cat sneaked past the Deino to strike Snow directly, knocking her back.
"Deino, there lies your dinner!" Emily viciously shouted as Deino charged forth and bit Ekans. Ekans tried to fight back, but Snow's Double Team interrupted his Poison Sting.

Snow was knocked back, almost falling, but catching herself. That blow hurtalot, and it was clearly visible.
"Snow, Powder Snow!" Koishi called out. Snow conjured up a strong icy wind, blowing it towards the Glameow.

The snowy breeze took hold of Glameow's foot, freezing it over. Deino took the opportunity, covering himself in fire.
"Dragon Rage!" Emily shouted, and Deino struck the Glameow with solid 40 damage. Glameow fainted, leaving the left grunt at a loss.
"Grr... I'll get you next time!" The right grunt smirked. "But... as long as our boss beats your precious Roark..."
Snow grew to Lv: 10!
Snow learned Bite!

Snow flung the burst of wind into the Ekan's direction, blasting the purple snake with it.
