Hoenn Region - Petalburg City
Night in the Petalburg was anything but tranquil: even with gentle breeze of the evening brushing through the town from the sea. The breeze felt cold to the touch, and salty. Other than the breeze, the nighttime of the city was bustling, with people appreciating the new face of the bazaar in the city. Yuuka and Violet, after the dinner, decided to see the wonders of the bazaar.
"So, Violet, anything you are thinking of buying?" Yuuka asked. Violet looked into her wallet to find about 2000 Pokedollars.
"I think I'll get myself a new watch... and maybe a hat." Violet pondered.

"Well, I'm from a place called Gensokyo. It's a nice place, but it gets boring after a while. So I got this friend I met, Winslow's his name, to open me a portal to a random, mostly peaceful world. This is the one which got picked. I'm simply here for a vacation." Koishi explained.

Sometimes when you're driving down a road, a bug hits your windshield. It's ugly and unpleasant, but you just activate the wipers / cleaning fluid and it's gone in a few seconds. It's just part of driving down the road. You don't dwell on it, because that'd be silly. Bugs aren't worth the time.
You just discard their guts and keep on driving.

"As you already know, I am the gym leader of this city... It comes with a lot of responsibility, and the pay isn't as good as my coal mining career, but it keeps me on edge with my Pokemon training."

John didn't really need the berry's effects at this point in time. He did not feel tired, only hungry.
"Thank you, but I'm not feeling tired. I'll save it for when I need it.", John calmly said as he put the berry in one of his storage compartments.
John then began to walk through the city, trying to find a food store, or a place where he could get more information about this world.

"Nature, huh? There's this really beautiful forest by the Pokemon League that only the gym leaders and the elite four can go." Roark said. "I went there once, because I'm yet an amateur gym leaders, but I never could forget the enchanting scenery of it."
"Yo, you two!" A youngster wearing shorts and baseball cap approached John and Renamon, big grin in his face. "I can see that you two are trainers! But, you can't really call yourself a trainer unless you've taken the Sinnoh League Gym challenge!"

John was slightly surprised by the kid appearing out of nowhere, but didn't show any outward reaction to the sudden appearance. Instead, John decided to humor the child and listened to what he had to say.
