"And you'll probably get them back as soon as you leave. World's like a dampening field or somethin'. Doesn't matter though." Koishi said as her pokémon rounded up and got back into their pokeballs except Kogasa and Snow.
"Now I guess we should get back to your friend, I guess?" Koishi asked.

Sometimes when you're driving down a road, a bug hits your windshield. It's ugly and unpleasant, but you just activate the wipers / cleaning fluid and it's gone in a few seconds. It's just part of driving down the road. You don't dwell on it, because that'd be silly. Bugs aren't worth the time.
You just discard their guts and keep on driving.

John simply nodded at Koishi and stood up. There had to be a way to regain his abilities. This place couldn't have been a dampening field, could it? Was that even scientifically possible? What if his reduced abilities were caused by being transported here? How exactly did he get transported here in the first place? All these questions circulated in John's head as he looked to Koishi and spoke.
"Follow me.", John calmly said as he walked back towards the city.

"Her name is Renamon. She has the same problem I do. She's not from around here.", John calmly said to Koishi.
While John walked, he realized that he didn't introduce himself. If this girl was to travel with them, she would need something to call him by. With this in mind, John spoke to Koishi again.
"I haven't introduced myself either. I am UNSC Master Chief Petty Officer Sierra-117.", John added.

John had a name, but he only gave it out to close friends, and he had very, very few. Not even Renamon knew his actual name. This entire time, she had been addressing him simply as "Chief."

John was never called "Sierra" before, but he found it to be acceptable. "Sierra" was the "S" in his Spartan Designation Number, S-117, and meant "Spartan." He had been called "Spartan" many times, and this new name was just another way of saying it.

Hoenn Region - Rustboro City
Team Anarchy's hideout in Rustboro wasn't even subtle. A dark gray shack made out of concrete, stuck in the alleyway between two skyscrapers, was desecrated with graffiti and garbage cans. Passerbys avoided the little alleyway, for the alley smelled foul and pungent. In front of the shack stood a large man with a tattoo of some sort of shark.
"Wow." Yuuka gaped at the stupidity of Team Anarchy. "I have no words."
"Yeah. I can't believe they would just plaster their logo in front of a building. That's not even subtle." Kappa sighed in agreeance.
"I... idiots." Lilac muttered, which Yuuka found cute. She cuddled the little brown fox, and Lilac squealed happily.
"Right, so the flag, the Slakoth, and any other things they stole must be in that building." Yuuka said as she looked at Claire who joined Yuuka in front of the alleyway. "Ready?"
