Sounding more irritated than she actually was, Mystia shot: "Will you buzz off if I tell you that the udon is free of charge?"

Yuugi's House

Nitori sat down and took something out of her backpack.
The disadvantage of technology was that it needed maintenance; but she thought the advantages were big enough to offset them.
"Phew." she thought while checking the camouflage cloak for holes. "She didn't break it, that horn could have been dangerous."
Luckily, all of her equipment was fine, and she was done pretty quickly.
Yuugi wasn't back yet, so she spend some time looking around if there was anything interesting.
She heard some water, and she found the fountain rather quickly, and sat down beside it, careful to stay out of sight.
She loved being even the sound of water, and she closed her eyes and listened.
She still was a bit agitated, and unable to drift off, but it calmed her at least.

Flandre's Chamber - Scarlet Devil Mansion

Patchouli had a desire to turn Flandre down, but she could not act upon it. What kind of person would she be to deny knowledge to one whose curiosity was genuine? Besides, a good story couldn't be told with a chained door between the teller and the audience. It was so impersonal, and a story deserved better than that. Patchouli pushed down her doubts and reached her hand up to the locks in the chains.

One by one, she used her magic to unlock them. When she was finished, the locks fell to the ground and the wards dissipated. Patchouli reached for the door and opened it, careful not to open it too much to give Flandre room to leave. She stepped in and closed it behind her, her eyes focused on the little vampire before her. The words for her reaction were stuck in her throat, so she nodded to Flandre instead.

"...Is there... A place to sit, little Flandre?"

Yuugi's House

Finally finding a pair of sandals that weren´t broken, thanks to the fact that she basically stomps the floor with gigaton force, Yuugi put them on and looked at the surroundings of the house "Looks like no one crashed to sleep here, oh well no need to clean up any mess" she said to herself walking towards the fountain

"I see you enjoy the peace of water too, it is quite relaxing when you need it to meditate" the oni said getting closer to the kappa´s location

Yuugi was ready to go towards the hell of blazing fires and see why utsuho was having either trouble with the magma or having a day off "I hope you are ready with your water canteens, our next goal is quite hot and water is scarce or nonexistent" she said taking her own canteen and filling it with the fountain´s water

Have you ever crossed the line between sanity and madness? You would be amazed by what lies beyond the fog..

Hell of Blazing Fires

Orin dumped the corpses in her wheelbarrow into the fire, and then turned back.

"I'll be right back with snow cones." Orin said, rocketing off with her wheelbarrow.

Bamboo Forest of the Lost

"Nope." Nue said, a smug smile coming onto her face.

Flandre's Chamber

"Oh, I know!" Flandre went into a closet and dug through a mess of junk. Eventually, she pulled out two surprisingly intact bean bag chairs and plopped them down on the floor next to Patchouli. One purple, one red. Flandre sat in the red one, and patted the other one to as to invite Patchouli to sit down.

Sometimes when you're driving down a road, a bug hits your windshield. It's ugly and unpleasant, but you just activate the wipers / cleaning fluid and it's gone in a few seconds. It's just part of driving down the road. You don't dwell on it, because that'd be silly. Bugs aren't worth the time.

You just discard their guts and keep on driving.

Hell of Blazing Fires

"Okay. Hurry back.", Utsuho cheerfully said to Orin as she waved.

She then looked down to the bodies in the magma. It may have seemed weird to toss corpses into magma and fire, but in truth, their souls helped power The Hell of Blazing Fires. Sure, Utshuho could probably power everything on her own, but the corpses made things much easier for her. They made sure that Utsuho didn't have to constantly maintain the Hell of Blazing Fires' temperature.

"More fuel for the fire.", Utsuho said to herself as she flew back up into the air and resumed her job.

Yuugi's House

Nitori heard the oni approach, but she took no notice of it, preferring to keep listening to the water.
Only when she started talking did she open her eyes.
"meditating..." Yuugi said. Nitori had to focus before remembering. She almost went into a kind of trance, being content just sitting there listening to the water.
She heard Yuugi talk about water canteens, and almost rolled with her eyes. "Yeah, you see, being a kappa usually means you have some water with you. You never know when it comes in handy! But thanks for reminding me, I don't really want to leave without them."
She got to her feet. Nitori was pretty short, and since most things were made for the size of the oni, she had some trouble reaching in the fountain.
She didn't want to try and jump, and miss the fountain.
"I've got some bottles left though, mind filling them for me?"

Yuugi's house

The oni took the canteens and started filling them "Yeah we are kind of tall because of our constant training, unlike the many residents of Gensokyo, what most rely on magic and science, we rely on strength" she said filling the last container and handled it to the blue haired

"Anyways you kappa are pretty good in your inventions, and this is surely a silly question, since your people need water, your machines wouldn't get damage or cause a short circuit?" she asked as they were heading towards Utsuho's place

The Ancient City

"Thank you." Nitori said while putting the canteens away. She set off, looking over her shoulder if the oni was following her. She noticed that she was going too quickly, and slowed her pace until she walked alongside the oni. She stayed silent a long time before answering the oni's next question. It was no hard question, but it caught her off guard. Water was a given for her, and she easily forgot that that was not the case for everyone. "We have a special kind of coating that we use to waterproof machine parts. That protects it against water and against some other common harmful substances. And we try to keep the interior dry of course. That should keep any water outside."
She looked at Yuugi. "Does that answer your question?"

She thought of something else that crossed her mind. "That big mansion in front of us, isn't that were the satori live? Y'know, that little troublemaker and her sister?"

Flandre's Chamber - Scarlet Devil Mansion

Patchouli wondered if Remilia would consider her own sister to be 'adorable'. Flandre certainly looked like the type of child to enjoy being embraced, petted, or praised, but Patchouli was not going to do the first two. She knew of the girl's strength and would like to keep her spine intact, thank you very much. It pained the mage that she had not prepared much for this event. All she had to rely on where the spells she committed to memory, and even then, they could not protect her very well if push came to shove. Hopefully, Flandre would not have an outburst, and Patchouli would not entice one.

She obliged the little vampire by sitting down next to her on the purple bean bag chair. Her red book rustled in her hands, demanding to be read. Patchouli opened the cover and ran her hand across the smooth pages, entranced by what she was about to read.

"This book... 'Tis called the Adventures of Rick Mundy, Archeologist," Patchouli explained. She held the book up to show Flandre a picture of the archeologist on the cover page. "He's a fictional character, but his adventures... They are legendary."

Patchouli smiled as she thought of what she was getting into. She turned the page of the book and opened her mouth to begin retelling a tale.
