Hell of Blazing Fires

Utsuho was about to speak to Orin, when suddenly Yuugi and Nitori appeared.

"Hey there nuclear bird and devil cat, how are you gals doing?", Yuugi asked.

The first thing that crossed Utsuho's mind was that they were here to investigate the temperature drop. That had to be the reason. Perhaps she wouldn't lose her powers for being clumsy, but it was still embarrassing that she lost her Third Leg for even a moment. It was a good thing Orin found it, or else this conversation would have been even more stressful for Utsuho.

"Oh great. Yep, we've been doing great.", Utsuho said in a slightly nervous tone.

Hell of Blazing Fires

Yuugi looked at Utsuho's hair and noticed a tiny piece of rock attached to it?

"I see you went for a rather warm bath utsuho, is it related to the temperature drop? Our friend Nitori came from the kappa ponds and spas to check what happened she asked breaking the rock carefully to not hurt the crow

" I know its a rather hard job to deal with all this magma, so if you need any help, just ask,Ok?" the oni said with her usual grin

Have you ever crossed the line between sanity and madness? You would be amazed by what lies beyond the fog..

Hell of Blazing Fires (Nitori)

"Well, I don't think I have to explain anything else." Nitori said. "There are no problems on the surface, energy output and temperature are still between acceptable levels, but it wouldn't be good if something happened would it?"
Nitori saw that the yagatarasu was nervous, and tried to reassure her. "There's no problem, you always take care of the fusion reactor really well, we were just worried you know.We would just like to know what happened, so that we can help you in the future if it happens again."

Hell of Blazing Fires (Satori)

As Satori approached the domain of the hell raven, she saw some youkai talking to Utsuho and Orin. The Hell of Blazing Fires was her property, and she didn't like it if people were on her land without permission. She walked closer.
"Well well well..." she said "An oni and a kappa in the Hell of Blazing Fires. That's not something you see often."
Her Third Eye told her the answer. "You wanted to check out the temperature drop?" she asked the kappa.
"And you? What are you doing here?" Satori asked Yuugi, wanting to hear the answer from the oni herself.
"And Utsuho? Why haven't I heard something from you? ...Oh." She continued, reading the answer from the raven's mind, but giving her time to answer the question herself.

Hell of Blazing Fires

Utsuho quickly removed the cooled magma out of her hair, and was about to give Yuugi and Nitori an answer that would have eased their minds without revealing that she lost her Third Leg, but suddenly Satori appeared. Utsuho already knew that Satori knew. In fact, she also knew that Satori could have said what the problem was, but she opted to let Utsuho say it herself. It was embarrassing that she lost her Third Leg, but she knew that there was no turning back now.

Satori's here. The jig is up... I've never been really good at hiding things from people anyway...), Utsuho thought as she let out a deep sigh.

"I lost my Third Leg...", Utsuho said in a voice that was barely audible.

Hell of Blazing Fires

" why hello there satori nice to see you too, I came here to guide Nitori here, might as well help your friends, isn't?" the oni greeted the satori in a calm tone

Yuugi knew that her mind could be read, but she didn't mind though, everybody knew her war stories and closet bones, she even was worried that satori could get perturbed with her memories. The only thing Yuugi asked to the pink haired was to keep secret the fact that she liked the bridge princess

Hearing Utsuho's reason calmed her doubts " well, its good it was that and that you found it, it would be quite a show to search for it if ut fell on the magma, anyways no damage was done" Yuugi reassured the crow with a smile

Scarlet Devil Mansion

As Patchouli came back to the library, another rumbling could be felt, this time far stronger than the previous. If she looked up, she would probably notice a sizable hole in the ceiling.

Human Village

The upside down face of a certain Nue popped into Byakuren's vision.

"Oh, hi Byakuren. Fnacy meeting you here." Nue said.

Hell of Blazing Fires

Koishi watched the conversation between the many people from above, sitting on the top of a large mound of rock in the middle of the magma lake.

"Wonder what they're talkin' about. Maybe it's about cheese." Koishi rubbed her chin. "Nah, probably cinnamon rolls."

Koishi then kept talking to herself about various foodstuffs.

Sometimes when you're driving down a road, a bug hits your windshield. It's ugly and unpleasant, but you just activate the wipers / cleaning fluid and it's gone in a few seconds. It's just part of driving down the road. You don't dwell on it, because that'd be silly. Bugs aren't worth the time.

You just discard their guts and keep on driving.

Scarlet Devil Mansion - Voile Library

Patchouli felt a breeze in the library and rubbed her arms. Why was it colder, and why was there rumbling going on? Her question was answered when she noticed several shards of glass embedded in her desk, all jagged and poised to kill had she remained in her seat. She approached her desk and sighed before glaring up at the glass ceiling. She had two ideas as to what had happened.

Either an earthquake had shattered her glass, or a certain thief had swooped in to ruin her day.

"Koakuma," Patchouli coughed.

"M-Mistress?" Koakuma whimpered as she appeared nearby with a bloody arm wrapped in bandages.

"Just what hap- What happened to your arm?" Patchouli gasped, eyebrows raised in concern. She approached her familiar and examined the dressed wound. "This was recent, no?"

"Yes... I don't know what happened, mistress. I was cleaning when the ceiling gave out," Koakuma replied with a grimace. She strained and looked up at the hole. "I wasn't quick enough... I'm sorry, Mistress."

"Spare me your unnecessary apologies," the mage grumbled. "What is important is that you managed to cheat death. I'm thankful for this. Now, go and tend to your wounds, and do not forget to apply an antiseptic solution."

As Koakuma blushed and flew off, Patchouli examined the area where the glass fell for a moment. She hoped this was an accident, yet she couldn't help that dark part of her mind from coming up with yet another accusation. Those who stole from her were not to be trusted, but those who hurt her familiar were to be found and incarcerated. Patchouli looked up at the ceiling again before searching for clues.

Human Village

Byakuren nearly choked on her curry when Nue appeared above her and dropped into her vision. She had been so absorbed in her thoughts that she neglected to pay attention to any youkai around her. She smacked her chest and coughed before composing herself as quickly as she had lost it. Her serene smile appeared on her face once again as she readjusted her bowl of curry on her lap. Nue was a troublemaker who enjoyed scaring people, but Byakuren saw her as a close friend and confidante. She couldn't hold a grudge against her even if she tried.

"Why Nue, it's not every day that I see you in the Human Village." She wagged her spoon at the trickster. "And you startled me! What does that make it? Three times this year?"

Voile Library

As she looked up, both Reimu and Marisa whizzed by, stopping when they saw the damage, and floated down.

"Well well, I guess you finally have a reason to replace that roof of yours." Marisa joked as they floated down to Patchy's level.

"This isn't funny, Marisa." Reimu stated. "How would you feel if this was your house?"

"I'd get the sunscreen." Marisa replied.

Human Village

Nue then slowly counted the times on her hand.

"Four, actually. It's a new record, congratulations." Nue pulled out a party whistle and blew into it, then putting it away as she dropped down to Byakuren's level.

Scarlet Devil Mansion - Voile Library

And so, the prodigal daughters came down from the heavens to torment the lone librarian, Patchouli thought to herself as she looked at Reimu and Marisa. They were humanity's finest, the most gifted with magical prowess, the Mario and Luigi of this world, if that made any sense. She could always count on the Shrine Maiden being the voice of reason, and she could always count on Marisa to hardly ever give a hoot about things that went around her... provided they didn't interest her. Patchouli swallowed her venom for the moment and saved her accusations for later.

"Miko. Thief," she addressed them by title. "I hope you had nothing to do with the destruction of my library's glass dome."

Human Village

Byakuren giggled a little at Nue's enthusiasm. She was a youkai who had no real occupation, but that didn't deter her. She made up her own: scaring people. Suffice to say, Nue was good at what she did, and she loved doing her 'job'. If only everyone carried out their work with the same enthusiasm, Byakuren thought to herself. She scooched over on the bench to give the trickster her room before glancing up at the sky.

"Nue... Tell me... What do you think of teaching the young the ways of the world? Humans do it all the time, for they know they are not long for the world, but what about us? Those with immortality, lifespans increased by magic..." Byakuren looked back at Nue. "Do we teach the young, or do we simply exist? I'm sorry to trouble you with this question, but it has been on my mind for some time."

Hell of Blazing Fires (Satori)

Satori nodded. "She speaks the truth. Does that answer your question?" she asked the kappa.

She raised a brow at Yuugi before turning to Utsuho. "Well done Okuu. These people don't mean any harm to you, lying to them won't do you any good. Someone would have found out eventually."

"That should finish your business here. This heat makes you thirsty, would you care for some tea?"
She turned around, before sensing someone else. A person was in the middle of the lake, but her mind was empty. "K-Koishi?! What is she doing here?"
She hadn't seen her sister in ages, and why would she be here of all sudden?
She turned to Utsuho. "Okuu, would you mind asking her to come over here?"
